They're not allowed to tell anyone, just simply enjoy themselves on the site [NOT MODDING.] and reporting to the higher ups what is wanted and what needs to be done.

This, I believe, was touched up on during the interview with Gaia's CEO on the Snap Podcast (the podcast is linked on the first post, near the top I believe). I believe Mr. Sherman said that, while it's a good idea, it would be very difficult to choose who to be on the team (or council, as mentioned in the podcast), probably because of trust issues. They could probably add it on to the mod's list of things to do (if it isn't already), but it isn't fair to ask volunteers to do so much when they aren't being paid a penny.

Edit: @ Akanescute: Normal people DO moderate the site. They're all unpaid volunteers. Abuse of Power has happened before, I'm sure...there's no stopping it. If you suspect a mod abusing their power, contact the Admin Leads (I believe it's Dri or Siskataya). They'll handle it.

Taking all into account, I just wish the devs would work on the things that are already on the website instead of developing new stuff.

I first came to Gaia because of friends and the avatar system. I stayed for the fishing. About a year ago, I found out that I couldn't use any of the flash things on the website because I was running a Linux system and (at the time) didn't have an up-to-the-minute version of Flash. I left for about that long.

Now I'm back. When Aquariums came out, I couldn't use it at all. For some reason, after loading and before initializing, the Flash object would crash and blank out. But I didn't have any fish or anything at the time, so I waited it out (and subsequently got addicted to zOMG) until the aquarium problem was fixed.

This lasted about two days. Long enough to put two goldfish in the aquarium. Then the problem resurfaced and my poor goldies were stuck. Okay, I thought. I'll wait some more. By the time Aquarium came back, both my fish were dead. Imagine if I'd payed for these guys instead of getting them through daily chance. That'd be good money down the drain.

It came back again, of course. Otherwise I wouldn't have discovered the death of my fish. Yay! It would finally work! I put in two schools of arrowfish, and I cared for them daily for about a week. During that time, I came across the doll quest in Zen Gardens, almost impossible to finish, loner as I am.

Now it's gone again! My poor arrowhead fish are probably dead as I write, and nothing is being done about it. I'm sick of being teased by a feature that's fun, only to have it break on me. If I see one more new feature added before I get my aquarium back or some of the bugs in zOMG are removed, I'm leaving. If the new feature is cash only, it'll be permanent.

I've been here since 04 and I miss the old site. I miss the anime parts of it. It was cool. I miss the time when I'd give money to my friend, and he'd by me a letter every month or so.

Now I think Gaia is just, for the lack of a better term, a money hole. Yes, I do buy the cash cards and by the evo items, because it is the only way I can get gold anymore. I hate how the listing fee KILLS you when you're trying to sell something for what it is truely worth. And it destroys people's worths as Gaians. On a good day I'm worth no more than just about 3/4 of a mil in gold, in items and pure gold combined.

I hang around the B/C forum most of the time, so most of my hard earned gold (from just crusing the site for months, btw) is spent on art and pets. You know win auctions? Be it art, lineart, pets or what not? The Gaians with the most items, and highest worth.

I know I will never be able to win an auction in that forum. One, I hold on to my items to much, and i just don't have that much gold.

I think Gaia needs to make some of the older items come back. Quests, or random give aways or something. Or at least create new ones up to par. As for rereleasing them, for all of you who have held on to your winged anklets and chained wallets, there wouldn't be a lot, mind you, just a few more here and there.

Or... free gold would be nice. Just 10k for every person who's been on longer than a month or something. I don't know. -shrugs-

I'm here because of the B/C forum. Other than that... I probably wouldn't have stayed after the items got bad. neutral

I agree with Adilae Thaesar. I think adding new features are fine but can't the old ones be be worked on first so there are no glitches and problems?

Dang. Alright, did they stop putting trash in the Gaia towns? I mean, I know that alot of people dis on them, but other people don't. Like me. And I agree with the idea of fixing the old rather than just adding new stuff and hoping people don't notice. It just makes the site look shoty, and it bugs the heck out of the users. Plus, if we have to pay money just to get VIRTUAL stuff for our VIRTUAL avatars, well, I'd rather buy stuff for the REAL me, and my REAL friends. Honestly. They need to stop badgering us for cash.

Alright, I've flipped through this forum several times and I haven't had anything to say.
That is, not until recently.

-It says that the PM glitch is fixed. Well, not completely. After 10-15 'quotes' they go all screwy.

Gaia needs to make the site flow. The posting form in Forums and PM's are the same, but in guilds they still have the original posting format. Personally, I like the old one, but I do like the fact that you can select the same color BBC code in a row.
Though, Gaia really needs to update guilds. Like, really, really badly.

-Oh, 10$ for an item, no matter what it is, is ridiculous. If someone just buys a gift card, and gets hacked, phished, ect, then they usually get banned. Thus, Gaia pretty much stole from them.

Also, 10$ for pixels. They aren't even real items. We should be able to use the gift cards on the actual Gaia Store items. The hats, the stationary, buttons, things like that.

1. $10 for an item that is not even real? a rip off!
2. the aquaruims just pisses me off, cash for fish?! what happened to the perfectly good fish we caught >.>
3. i had several problems with my inventory, when i would put on a layer that i have done many times before, it just gets screwed up.
4. moving this to the chatterbox room... it is just WRONG,
