1 Furugasa

Out of all of those items which ones do you think i bought from the cash shop?

You probably haven't bought much or anything from the cash shop
If you're any decent at art or breedables or if you played zOmg during the headstart period etc, its easy enough to get gold.
I havent got as many EIs as you, two alrunas, a furugasa, biancamella, inari's beads, hermes moon, the lotus, and a couple others, all first gen- But I still sympathize with this thread. Because the fact is Gaia has changed for the worse. People can buy their way in just like in real life- which makes this no longer a safe 'escape', since people who're rich in real life, can be the elite here as well, just like in real life, and can flaunt it just like in real life.

It used to be, that peoples real life wealth didn't mean s**t. But now, it can make you a millionare in a matter of hours.
I have been incredibly disappointed with gaia about EIs recently.
I just sold my Urn and Book because the Book's final stage scarf and hair items had NO shading at all and the Urn really had a pitiful number of poses- furugasa stretches my damned screen, both my alruna and my inaris beads seem to have more than that. I just dont get it at all, but it wasn't worth keeping when it finished evolving.

Really, Gaia needs to fix the inventory system, and I truly hope they dont continue the trend they started with the book- outline, flat color, READY FOR CASH SHOP because life doesnt work that way and the items would have been a million times better SHADED PROPERLY

This just REALLY exemplifies that Gaia is pushing their artists too hard, as if the Coocoon situation didn't prove that enough. The book only evolved like once a month or so and that artist was so overworked they couldn't even SHADE the items? Don't even say he/she was going for a 'look' because the lines and such would've matched or blended in better if that was the case.


They need to make money. Sure. But they dont need to charge so much for each individual item. Once the Gaia Cash is bought they already have our money so just make it so we can afford more with what we've paid you- Because its getting to the point where so much is released, so often, that the quality of even EIs is falling. Take one look at the enchanted book's hair and tell me you'd pay $5 for that (the original price of the book if I remember correctly).

Non of that i enter contests and win them, i quest, i earn gold, i get them from friends. Ive never bought from the cash shop and never will.

So by your logic if someone killed someone and took their couch, and you bought that couch, it is ok, because you personally didn't kill the person for their couch? You would buy illegally purchased goods and think it was ok?

In no way am I saying Gaia is illegal. but seriously now. The point is they are charging too much and having too many cash features and items, not to mention neglecting free features.. It doesnt matter if you CAN get it from the marketplace. It honestly doesn't. You know why? Because someone still paid for it. Someone still had to shell out hard earned real life money that could go towards food or bills or gas, for a pixel item, just so you could buy it off the MP.

And y'know I buy them off the MP as well but I support the thread because it pisses me off seeing new EIs released nearly every month, sometimes more than once a month. THE QUALITY IS DROPPING for MCs and even EIs! BUT PEOPLE ARE PAYING FOR IT STILL, and they're paying for it on just GOOD FAITH that the item will turn out well- that faith was abused with the Enchanted book and with some others that totally bombed, like the experiment and many MCs like the lusty scoundrel and such...

Gaia is preying on people's good faith and making them pay for it- literally. If I could buy a $25 cash card and have it last me a couple months of buying whatever EIs came out and s**t then I wouldnt care. But some of these individual good-faith purchases cost up to $10.

$10 is dinner. Dinner for two nights if I try hard.

Look at the hair.
It has two shades. That's it.
I was expecting a spectacular finish. We just got another dress and skirt and more celebrity-date type poses. It told a story, sure. But its usage is so limited.
Everyone else I've asked has said the same thing about the hair. I've seen it used and I think it just ruins an outfit. Look at the Biancamella hair. Beautiful shading. Not very versatile but it shows how to do light colored swirly hair well. It was FLAT COLORED in the Book's items. The hair AND the scarf. So what, now items that could have been amazing are utterly useless because they match NOTHING else on the site in terms of style and skill.

Besides you can't deny anything else. buying the first generation of an EI is very much a risk. Look at the Alruna's rose- it went from a screaming success at 300k to a kind of average level item at just under/at 100k. The Experiment, Dionaesil, Drome Egg, whatever that green snake thing was that nobody remembers because it just sucked THAT BAD.

Plenty of EIs have tanked it. Including the book in my opinion and that of a few others. Oh wow, a couple useable white dresses and no real accesories except some overdone swirls. Totally NOT worth paying for in cash if you ask me.

I never bitched about not being able to make an outfit out of anything
I bitched about the drastic drop in artistic skill in the final items. No shading whatsoever, It just have us a couple dresses. If I liked white and gold and s**t then I might have kept it.
I am using the Biancamella right now for this outfit. And the Kelp o the loch. I use EIs in lots of my outfits as accent pieces. The book's only accent pieces were too poorly made to look proper to me, and the other items were attention grabbers not to be used as accent pieces.
