She was the most beautiful sight for miles around, yet there was something strange about her as he hid, watching her every graceful movement. She seemed to hover over the ground. Her dress seemed to lightly reflect the colors of the moon as she walked. The glittery diamonds that fell around her were endless and unnatural.As she walked through the moonlit forest he had to strain in order to see where she was going. He knew the terror was waiting for her and felt the guilt, knowing that he was a part of it. He used to have standards and was a noble man. He wasn't about to sink further by letting this mysterious angel be tortured by the Dark Queen's minions.

He went after her, unsure of how to help her without alerting his companions of his betrayal. As he crept closer, it was too late, she was within range. She suddenly stopped, as if sensing the danger around her. Somewhere hidden, the silent signal was given to strike. The four went after her but she gleamed brightly, temporarily blinding the minions. Her eyes closed as if she didn't need them to see where her enemies stood. A blue and white swirl started circling around her feet, and moving upwards. The diamonds falling around her suddenly spun with anger, furious at anything foolish enough to even imagine harming the one they cared for, as they flew outwards towards the horrified enemies. The minions stumbled away, trying to evade the sharp edges around trees and shrubs. For one, he was too late as the diamond pierced through his heart. The second one managed to hide momentarily. He was a seasoned soldier and was back at her with his knife raised to teach her a lesson as the blue white swirl turned to ice and struck a bolt at his chest, leaving him frozen in place. A second bolt shot out towards the third minion and the fourth minion was starting to recover from minor cuts of the diamond shards. It seemed she was out of tricks as the blue and white swirl receded. The fourth minion approached her with caution, knowing that the spoils of the night with her would be all to himself with their scout being away. To be continued...
