Welcome to Gaia! ::

Friend

*Hesitates briefly, but looks over and squeezes his hand. Doesn't let go. Grits her teeth, taking a sharp breath, chest tight.* No. But I will be.

Sparkly Warlock

A Solid Nope
*Looks up, nods, and looks relieved. Is and isn't gone, really. The intense power begins to quell.* Alright.

*relaxes a little, managing a smile. No matter what she is, now, she's still under his protection. And Phineas is still an a*****e*

*kisses her hair.* You'll come with me to the Academy?

*thinks of something and looks at... Well, at Death.* Will she be all right in a world other than her own?
*If magic works differently, that might mess things up*

Timid Giver

Knightly Failure
*Hesitates briefly, but looks over and squeezes his hand. Doesn't let go. Grits her teeth, taking a sharp breath, chest tight.* No. But I will be.

*swallows the urge to just keep on apologizing forever. That would get redundant. But squeezes back* 'Kay.

*looks at Geordie and thinks a moment, forehead wrinkling*
I mean... She's been before, yeah? So have I. No problems so far?

Friend

*Glances over at him. Felt that. Gives him a questioning look.* It's not your fault.

*Nods at Geordie.* It shouldn't be an issue. My world has nothin like any of this and I've had plenty of odd visitors.
*Smiles broadly.* Yes, please. I'm really tired.

*Looks back at Charon and his Knight. Smiles.* Thank you both.

Sparkly Warlock

*That's reassuring. But will still be keeping an eagle eye on her*

*nods to Knight and Charon, and will take Molly with him*

Timid Giver

*grin* Sure thing. Gimme a ring if you need anything. *tips his head to the side* You'll know how.

*sighs and replies very, very quietly* Yeah. It is my fault. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt anyone.

Friend

*Blinks. Slowly turns to face Charon, and lets her face slip out of its forced expression. He can feel how terrible she feels, doesn't see a point in hiding.* I-I don't understand. How could this possibly be your fault.

*Frowns.* You've been there a long time. I remember bits and pieces. If I got too close to the contagious magic, you were there. ...kind of like getting taken by the undertow.

*Death is apologizing to her. For something he did. Her stomach knots up.* Charon...he's. *Has great difficulty saying it.* H-he's gone. Isn't he.

Timid Giver

*trembles a little* It was only supposed to be a few months. A c-couple of years at most. I didn't realize how bad I was hurt. There weren't supposed to be... lifetimes.

*blinks at her, at the sound of his name, feeling like a pit's just opened up in him. Can't stand the use of third person* He? Am I that different?

Friend

*Starts shaking too, and stares at him. Really looking at him this time. Puts her hands on top of his head, dragging her fingertips along his face.* No, you're not. But I don't know what to think.

*The tears drip.* It's been so long. *Deflates some.* And this is all really, really strange. And I am just a plain ol' human. And you know. My big brother just casually happens to actually be Death. No big.

*Squeaks half of that out, and sighs, giving him a wry smile.* I thought I'd never hear you call me "Babe," ever again.

*Wipes her face on her sleeve and wobbles.* You kept talking like you were dying. And the last time. I thought you did. I thought you were gone. He told me the medium part. I.

*Sniffles.* I need a hug, thanks.

Timid Giver

*sweeps her up and just holds her tight* You've never been just a plain ol' human. You're a Knight, and you were always there for me.

*not doing fantastic at holding it together, either. Can feel her powerfully and doesn't have the heart to shut her out. And, well, he's learned to be human, and can't forget that, now. Tears on her shoulder*

There were so many times I almost managed to wake up. I tried so hard. And it was always you.

Friend

*Hugs him as tightly as she can manage, and leans her head against his, and breathes deep. The scent is the same as it's ever been, and this is real. He is really home. And he remembers her, and he knows her. Weeps openly before she's able to speak.* You'd better not just be saying that.

*Smooches the side of his head.* You're here now. And we're here together.

Timid Giver

*laughs through tears* Yeah. Yeah. About time.

*Squeezes. But his eyes fall on the shadows in the corners of the room. Stills*
Babe, I gotta get to the others. If she comes now, I'm done.

Friend

About ********' time. *Lifts her head to look at him again.* I'm coming with you. Don't bother trying to tell me no.

Timid Giver

*Would sure like to tell her no. Knows when she's supposed to go, but accidents happen, and his world is at war. But he also knows better*

>> Oh, good. I think you've met Hawk.

*brightens a little. Looks forward to seeing his friend.*

*Doesn't bother with the door. Doorways are liminal spaces, and he's not risking drawing Vivian's attention if he hasn't already. The two of them are just gone*
