Who authorized all this? I'm really starting to get a bad taste in my mouth. Some people are going to proclaim, 'OH, it keeps gaia FREE!' Well, it managed to stay free, and damn enjoyable for years. The introduction of the cash shop itself in 07 started to change the direction of things.. then RIGS appeared.. and now it feels like gaia is just selling out; looking for more and more ways to pull cash out of its users, while still saying 'this site is free to play!' Oh but if you want the exclusive perks and rare items you have to cough up. Also we're going to throw in more ads because we didn't have enough.

So, I'm feeling put out. Especially since if they want a cash cow, they would do well to reopen the real-life merchandise store. But no; pixels are cheaper.
