Ok so most people believe in some kind of god. Me and my friend are just saying prove that any god exsists. How do you know and what makes you believe. I am atheist so I have no god but my friend does have a god.

You can't disprove God either. So thus it is an impossible question. If you want to be factual, try agnosticism.

I say that logically there must be a higher being because it's bigotry to say there is no "god(s)" not only that Something cannot be created from nothing. Such as the universe How could the Big bang begin if there was nothing to 'Bang' persay.

String Theory answers this one (athough slightly)

Basically there are billions and billions of strings, each one contains a universe, the big bang happened when two strings collided creating a new string, the transfer of energy was MASSIVE therefore big bang

I don't remember that part of string theory.
Nor do I remember when string theory became accepted scientific canon, alongside the theory of relativity and quantum mechanics.

I believe with all my mind, body, and soul that there is a God, and that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Proving this, however, is the trick.

I do not believe that I can prove to those who do not want to accept God that he is real. God cannot be explained, his presense must be felt by those who honestly seek the truth.

I felt the Glory of God before, only after I began to doubt in him. I felt my heart swell, and a happiness that radiated throughout me completely. I truly and honestly cried of joy from the feeling of God around me, and it makes me sad to think of all the atheists who denounce God completely.

I could try and force Jesus down your throat, or I could just ignore you, but I am going to give you just one piece of advise: find the truth. Just try and keep an open mind, and look for the truth of the world and you will find God.

I'm bored and feel like talking random crap so this is my veiw of it all. In my opinion I don't fully believe in a "god" however I think that there is a 'god' in the meaning of 'good'. I don't think that believing in a god is wrong in any way, in fact it can be very good. All religions in their purest forms are the same, all teaching good and well being. However the I think a 'god' watching over everything is a way of making people do better things in their life, preventing them from doing the wrong. So I like the fact that people will belive in a god but when they take it too far and get carried away, fighting occurs. If you look at the history of all wars religion is pretty much the seed for distruction. Like I said, believing in a god can be a very wonderful thing or a devastating one. So to prevent the horrible outcome I tend to not believe in a god and partly because I support science very much. But it is all a matter of opinion and to belive or not to believe is all fine and dandy. Just make sure you don't get too wrapped up in either side of the point because it only leads to fighting.

I think that perhaps, were there a higher being of the Judeo-Christian religions, when a person asks for proof, what they get is hope. In this manner, they receive confidence in their beliefs without needing scientific evidence to support their innermost faith.
