THERE IS A GOD FINAL 'DEAL WITH IT" OH YEAH AND IF U DONT CHANGE U GONNA GO IN A REALLY FAST TRIP TO HELL

You know in the book of Revelations it says that if your not of certain jewish tribes you'll go to hell anyway.

and theres the fact only 144 thousand people will go to heaven.

Prove there isn't one and I'll shutup. wink

Also, I don't know why atheists are so obsessed with people who believe in god. There isn't an explanation for every single thing, just let us follow our religion.

Like I said befor it goes both ways.

Hmm, you sound alot like the people being mentioned in this quote...
Duane Alan Hahn
God is not a gangster. Christianity makes you an "offer you can't refuse" by promising Heaven if you accept their propaganda and threatening spiritual torment if you don't.

Only people that claim that there is not a deity must provide evidence that there is not one. Similarly, anyone claiming that there is one must also provide evidence. Claiming belief in one is quite different in that it is your belief, not a claim of absolute knowledge. The key is the difference between saying 'I know there is a deity' or 'There is a deity' and 'I believe/think there is a deity.' You can also see how this works for claims that there are not deities (though it is also possible to just no believe in a deity without claiming the nonexistence of one). So, since I see no one presently involved in the debate claiming there is not a deity, no one presently has to prove that there is not one. There are people, however, claiming that one does exist.

I do not care what your religion is, so long as it complies with observed reality and is not harmful. I mostly debate for the sake of debating. Thus, someone stating 'I believe' will not be questioned by myself (thought others may provoke such people into making unfounded claims) and only question those making unfounded claims (those yelling 'God does/doesn't exist!').

Where are you getting your evidence that it is more severe with Atheists complaining? I've seen quite a few "GOD IS TEH REALZ! LOL! DEAL!" in this thread. Sounds like a fairly vocal complaint against Atheists, even if it doesn't directly state that.

You didn't have to explain something so simple to me.

I see a lot more threads that say, "Prove god exists" than "I know god exists" which is why I placed emphasize on the Atheists.

I believe I do. To defend themselves. Usually when an Atheist asks for proof of a god, the Theists reply back with a comment of their own. Usually anyway.

Well, the ten pages or so have far more people coming in and claiming absolutely that a deity exists. There have been atheists that have come in and stated that they don't believe in a deity or that they don't believe there is a deity, but I can't think of any that claimed that there is no deity.

EDIT: Noticed that you said threads and not posts. How about we keep things within this thread?

I don't have evidence, and it's not so big a deal that I must go fetch evidence. I know it's true, I'm not randomly making it up just to make you guys look bad. Is that what you think?

If your not randomly making it up, get evidence don't sit there going

"IM NOT MAKING IT UP IM NOT IM NOT MAKING IT UP IM NOT"

In the time it takes you to say that, you can find evidence to prove your self right, or wrong.

I can think of plenty of atheists who, upon a Christian finding out that they were an atheist, started going on and on, unprovoked, about how they are condemned to hell and that not believing in their deity is stupid and other such sentiments. Also, you just have to look at the rather open hostility in the US expressed towards atheists.

Yea, but there are more atheists who claim god is fake than theists who believe god is real on gaiaonline.com.

No, I think you're jumping to conclusions based off of incomplete evidence. You're making a fairly big generalization that has little connection to teh real world. You also assumed that I'm an Atherist. Sorry, I'm Agnostic. I accept the possibility of a higher being, but I'm not convinced. And Like Beyond Oblivion said, theres a difference between "I know" and "I beleive".
