Science can disprove a number of things.

People use to belief rainbows were magical signs from their various deities or spirits. Science disproved this notion by demonstrating that rainbows are optical and meteorological phenomena that cause a spectrum of light to appear in the sky when the Sun shines onto droplets of moisture in the Earth's atmosphere.

It's not difficult to disprove anachronistic beliefs in the supernatural, science is doing it all the time. Eventually, there will be little room left for the supernatural in out world; science is the advent of reason that renders obsolete the superstitious explanations to that which we cannot yet understand.

It is pretty much the foundation of science. The scientific method works by disproving incorrect hypotheses, not by proving correct hypotheses. If the hypothesis makes sufficient correct predictions, it is considered accurate beyond reasonable doubt within the present body of knowledge, but something may be added to the body of knowledge that allows us to disprove the theory.

Now, moving on to any deity, science can't disprove them. By definition, deities are non-falsifiable and thus the scientific method cannot be applied and thus science cannot say anything about the since science only deals with that which is falsifiable.

I believe this:
There WAS a bigger power. This bigger power messed up really badly and made the big bang. This either hurt or killed this powerful entity. If dead, why worship? If hurt, why would he stay? If you shattered a glass and it cut up your face and damaged your eyes, would you stay just because you think life will begin to evolve on each shard?

Also: If it left, do you expect it to be alive? Even if alive, Do you expect it to have stopped moving away? And even if it stopped, why would it return, and for how long would such a journey take?

ok first of all i beleive in god... so the strongest debate against god is that humans r simply an evolution... well take love then, love is easy since humans have this so they can get close and eventually reproduce, wolves do it i donno about the love tho... BUT why do humans feel heart broken? there's no need. and also what about simply things like laughter? they say laughter comes from the soul... and at the very least u can believe in the constantine theory, that god exists but he just observes his creations and doesn't get involved
