Welcome to Gaia! ::

Whats an EI?

Evolving Item

Dangerous Fatcat

Wow @_@
I read the whole thing.

I whole heartily agree with you on so many issues

MC's
Have been crappy lately. I do believe that is because people are spending too much time making the EI awesome. Its not a horrible thing that the EI's are awesome... It just completely sucks that the MC's are crapping out. The only EI I actually bought out of the CS was the Fallen Wish, BUT I had to beg my boyfriend for about 2 days to get his credit card from him so that I could actually get the item with out selling most of my stuff.

MarketPlace
I also agree that the 2% was a stupid idea, and that It made most items spike up. Which leaves new members in the dusty, unless they are an awesome art or dont have a life! (I dont have I life... and Im gud at art.. so I guess I am both)

Aquariums
I basically agree with you on all of the issues you brought up for this.
putting the shop in the "Shops" section was absolutely misleading, I was so disapointed when I saw you could only by them with "Gaia Cash", and I wasnt about to put real money into Virtual Fish that die, sometime in 2 weeks.

Mythril Coins
I didnt at all pay attention to this item.
I thought they were stupid, and just ignored them!

Events
I also agree with you on this.
INSTEAD of putting those items in the CS they could have been Invent items or even in the regular shops!
And not only that, the Item we did get was cheap.... I mean come on!

signatures
OMFG This made me mad
Its not my fault that the webpage I am linking to is long
I mean most of the pages I link to are in Gaia but with all the numbers and letters in there
it makes it too long. I mean have a limit on the signature isnt a horrible thing but they should have been able to control the size of the picture or something like that instead or controling the URL size!

MTV
I dont even really want to get started on it... cause it would just be a huge rant
It was a stupid idea.
And I shall leave it at that

Cinemas
I dont know about all of you guys
But I cant even find any of the Anime in the Cinemas anymore....
Did they take them out?

Gaia isnt all bad though. And I know that you guys know this. I mean when those Fake Gaia pages where going around, where you had to log back in and the hacker could get your password. I fell for that, Gaia helped me get my stuff back. Even though It did take 6 months and I emailed them about every 2 weeks.

Anyways thats just me commenting on this thread, I will put the banner in my Art Shop and In my profile! I think this is something that all Gaians should read.

$10US isn't much for higher-quality Cash Shop items, but the fact that's the only way to get them is not at all in the spirit of Gaia (that's what the MCs, formerly DIs, are for).

You have to keep in mind though, that currently, the economy is crashing pretty badly in alot of places un the US, so for some people ten dollars is alot of money.

I have a few friends in my area where ten dollars could be the difference between having enough gas to get to work or being fired for missing work and being unable to pay rent.

When you consider how bad the economy is at the current moment in time, charging ten dollars for an item that has absolutely no real world value outside of if you like it on your avatar or not can probably be seen as a bad choice seeing as the higher it's priced, the less likely it is people will buy it. Lowering the price would make it more accessible to more people. Again, as I said before. It's basically a choice of "ten dollars, and fifty people will have the money to buy it/won't be turned off by the price" or "five dollars and one hundred people will have the money/won't be turned off by the price".

Shy Strawberry

I have to say after reading all of the dev's notes and comments I want to donate to gaia for their sake, no I am not on a boycott or anything like that, I think they deserve to be paid well for what they do. The people in charge of the business end seem to be the ones making users unhappy, but there will always be people who will support gaia no matter what. I like this site, and I hope this thread keeps on going smile *cheers*

This may have been said before, it may not
but I'm not gonna read through the whole thread ta see

This only concerns the battle system

First off, battle has never been nor will it ever be a pay to play game
there will be no rings in the CS
all rings are free
Qixer only said that they were thinking of putting recipes in the cash shop
but these are not nessicary to play the game

The head start ticket is not something you need to be able to play the game with
its to keep the servers from dying from everyone jumping on at the same time when its released
Everyone else will get to play it, those with the ticket will only get to, maximum of a week, play it early. Some people have been waiting years to play, I think those without a ticket can wait a week when they release it

as for the number of tickets out there
put it in perspective
gaia has several million users
a few thousand tickets is a drop in the bucket in comparison

Thank you, thank you, thank you. You have said everything so beautifully and it was amazingly well thought out. You are absolutely right concerning the useless features. And to be honest, if this site is so concerned with keeping things at a PG-13 level, then you would think they would take more action. Truly they have lost focus, such as with the unfair bannings, and if they would stop wasting time on the useless features, they could concentrate on what's important, and they would not have to make everything cash only. Yes, we know it takes money to do things. Yes, we know things go wrong and it takes time to get things right, but when you look at what's going on, you can't help but sign in disgust.

And thank you for pointing out the fact that even though aquarium items are in the MP, it does not overlook the fact that people actually paid real cash for them in the first place. The only difference is that someone else enjoys it.

There are so many things but you have covered them all extremely well. Again, well said and thank you for actually doing this. heart

@ Crimsonn: They CAN'T be running out of ideas,
because the users GIVE them ideas DAILY, in the Petitions forum.

I didn't say that I agreed with the fact that they are running out of ideas, and I'm sorry if I didn't make myself clear on that part...probably my fault.

But, even WITH the ideas in the petitions forum, they would have to find who had the original or the best idea (if the original wasn't the best) and PAY them in some form for it. Kind of like they do with the contests. Because if they don't pay for them, then it could cause some trouble for the company. I mean, I'm sure that they wouldn't have to pay in actual cash, usable in the real world, simply because with the contests they don't pay in cash. But they would probably have to pay at least in Gaia Gold. Or, at least, I would THINK that that's what they would have to do...

here here! I am also tired of Gaia ramming things up our asses and responding like "we never technically said that. It's juvenile, seriously. You remember on car trips when your sibling would poke you with a pencil or other objects only to respond "i'm not touching you" when you told them to stop? It's something you expect from a five year-old not a professional group of any kind especially, not the corporation you have obviously become.
Another annoying fact (as well as disgraceful) of Gaia that i'm sure will be argued about for some time. The Mods are untrustworthy. It used to be you could rely on a mod to a.) know what they were talking about and b.) be truthful about what's going on. Neither is the case anymore.
Jumping back to a conversation from around page 130 or so....

I realize that my post was similar to the OPs. I never said or claimed otherwise. I understand that some asshat causing problems in the thread agreed with me, but please do not lump me in with your replies to him. I do not know or have anything to do with this Stranger fellow. I made my point to share my opinion because I agreed with the OP. Nothing more.

It annoys me a little that my reply was seemingly dismissed with your troll chap.

Agreed. If they charge less, then more people would be willing to but them. Not to mention if they maybe put out $5 cash cards in stores as well. Because the only way that you can get $5 is through the internet, which is hard on people that don't have a credit card or debit card. And if you don't have one of those, then chances are (not saying that it's NECESSARILY true, just more LIKELY to be true), you may not be able to afford more than 5 bucks. But, basically, I'm saying that I agree with this and have brought it up with other people as well. However, it is the company that makes the prices, not the people who make the items or the people that actually have any interaction with us, the users. (And that, I got from a dev response, I just can't remember which dev. sweatdrop )
