I agree. I've made thank you threads that promptly died. But the thing about them fighting for us...I don't think that's very common knowledge. I had no idea about it, and today was the first I've heard of the recent inner workings of Gaia. I'm realizing that the blame doesn't lay with the admins so much as the people above them.

I think... that it's more of the fact fewer and fewer know who the original crew was or even care to know nowadays.

I just got through writing in Jakobo's journal. And I pointed out that way back when, you could see the pride they had in this site. But now it's more like a job - and a bad job, at that. I do feel really sorry for them, and I'm going to make a point of thanking them more often. <3

But you're right. They're also not as in the open anymore, and most of the original crew is, according to the list in this forum, gone. L0cke and VO, for example. Unless I'm just missing something.

Oh, I know - I left after the second round of random bannings (when they decided to quietly encourage fandom and the mentally ill to leave, and instituted the search filters), and ended up here.
Former LJ addict, anyway...I haven't checked my flist in three months.. gonk
