That IS a point that I failed to consider. And it would definitely be good. ^_^ So, I guess we would just have to find out what is in the NDA. But, who knows...

(And sorry this post isn't as lengthy as my previous, but I got a lot of stuff on my mind right now...)

Causin' problems makes you famous
All the violence makes a statement
The problem with that though, is that an NDA is just that. An NDA. If I'm right, then they're not even allowed to tell us what the terms of the NDA are, because that could potentially leak information they aren't supposed to tell us. So, I think it's likely we won't be told what the NDA says.

In this case, unless the Gaia Team says otherwise, I think it's safe to assume they can't even tell us the type company their potential sponsors are due to legal restrictions.

You so said everything many users are feeling right now.

God, it's sad that they probably won't even listen to this reasonable, well thought out, well written thread. .-.

I don't think, in all my YEARS here, have I seen them take action because of a thread or petition on how we want changes in the system, no matter how well thought out it was. As the thread starter pointed out, they just take brief notes on what users want and twist it to suit them. But have they ever ever considered changing things they've already established? People have always been complaining Gaia isn't what is used to be, and they keep making it go farther and farther from what it was before. I could be wrong but this is just my perspective.

And the sentiments written in this thread also expresses how badly I feel about how Gaia has become.
Just before I forget.

Specifically to any Developer, or those on the legal team.

Please explain to me, what your legal law you are hiding behind to keep your books closed and not actually open them to the public. (Actually just state the damn thing, I'd like to tear it to pieces)

I am aware that Gaia is currently an .ltd company, but this is no excuse. Perhaps if you want to run it like a business, you should actually sell shares to users. (With Gaia always owning the majority by 2%). Not only would that generate more revenue, but you would also be forced to make users happy.

Did very many people end up participating in the short-term boycott over the weekend? Was it even noticeable? I've just been curious since I got back on, today, and I'm not sure where else or who else to "ask" so sorry if I'm wasting space, but I was wondering. smile

Invisible Phantom

[ .NK. ], what do you think about the idea of return items purchased with Gaia Cash in exchange for our Gaia Cash back?

I think this is standard operating procedure with most businesses, why not Gaia?

I know that I'd like to get my Gaia Cash back on Green Corallus Egg, DandiiDoodad Spore, Dionaesil, and The Experiment.

What do you think?

Also, bump. XD
I was just reading some old posts and sometimes I wonder how the people of Gaia put up with some of us. So many people post errors and expect everything to be working perfectly right away. It takes so much longer to fix things, as can be seen with some things. They can't fix everything with a snap of their fingers. There's so many things being worked on, and some glitches are much worse than others.

Example; I've seen people reporting that an item won't layer with another, which is not a glitch, it's the layering. But they complain about it and expect it to be fixed, and when they're told that's just how it is, they just b***h about it even more. And yet there are people can't get into games, can't post, and some who can't log in. Which would you see as more important?

Anyways, people should be thanking the devs and mods for all they're doing for us. They're the ones who are keeping this place running. They could have said 'screw you guys' ages ago, but they put up with our crap and even try to help us out with the little things. They think about what they can do to help us, and yes, sometimes they change things and it turns out to get a horrible reaction, but then they know what not to do. They need our reactions to make this place better for us.

Some Cash Shop items are expensive, yes, but you can buy them from the market. If you don't feel like spending $10 on an item, then buy a couple monthly letters and sell them, then you can buy that item from the market. It may take some time, but remember, there are people who can't buy from Gaia at all and work for their items by spending time online. I know how it was, to have to spend hours and hours online to get items, but you know what? That's fine. I still can't buy anything, but I don't care. The items I want from the Cash Shop are then something I can quest to get, and when I get them I cherish them. Also, if I want something bad enough, I look through my stuff and sell what I don't need/want. It helps. Some people think paper, flowers, all that is junk, but others want it. So instead of letting it rot in your inventory, sell it. You may not get a lot for it, but it all helps.

For the zOMG, people are complaining about how long it's taking, but shouldn't that be expected? Isn't it better to wait than to be so excited about a game and find it to be a huge let down? People these days are so impatient, but if we wait then it may be even better than we antisipated.

And finally, the Aquarium. Really, I don't mind getting free things each day from it, but when I see people complaining because their's isn't 'pretty' because items are in the Cash Shop, again, they're being impatient. They complain that they have to wait a few days or a week for the prices to go down and become affordable in the market, but so what? That's how it is when you don't want to, or can't, spend money on your items. You have to wait and work for it. Get use to that. At least what you're getting is free. All it takes up is your time, which you can spend meeting new people or playing games. If you already have gold for it when it comes down and don't want to waste your time waiting for it, go out, read a book, do something else. You're not forced to sit at the computer and wait for the prices to go down.

And I think I'm done for now. ._.
Sorry if someone bitched about this before, but i'm sick of how they say in the rules "No cybering, Discrimination, or racisim", when the Gaia admin is full of it. And whenever I report someone for cybering or racial harrasment, they never do anything about it.
Disorganization. QUICK! TO THE NEOPETS MOBILE!
I've been here since 2003
got hacked in 2007
i've seen so much s**t, it's crazy. Gaia has really just gone down the shitter. I'm surprised i even came back after i was hacked. Sure, after getting hacked i was very pissed because i worked hard for my items. not a dime spent. Now when i finally decided to come back, i had to basicly pay gaia 40 dollors to get even remotly close to the amount i had before i was hacked. Plus i couldn't really file a report about being hacked because it was considered a 'cold' case by the time i actually gave gaia a chance again. Isn't that a little ******** up? But oh well. Maybe i shouldn't have waited so long. But to tell the absolute truth, i was going to leave gaia for good. I am really getting sick of it's bullshit. No one (admins, dev, mods, ect.) seems to care. Gaia has really just made me sick to my stomach. The only reason i come on anymore it to check up on the site. Watching to see if it really just crashes all together.

That's an interesting idea, but I don't see it happening. That could likely lead to people wanting to sell cash back to Gaia in exchange for their money back, and I never see that happening. XD

That's extremely interesting. I looked at everyone except one, because the link is glitched with an emote, and there seems to be quite a bit of contradictory information. It depends on when those were updated last, though, I guess. Thank you for taking the time and finding those. Your post is going in my favorites.

I support that notion!

And I'd like to know why, when gaia is making so much money and has such a humongus staff, It still takes 6 months to a year to get a hacking reversed?
