Guys have you noticed that some of the Phin Phang items are gone? I was just in there, researching things for my letter, and that puffer fish and the bubbles are gone.

And are the prices the same as they were earlier, or not? :/

blaugh I sure hope they add a "pay with gold" option next to the one for paying with cash. I know there's no way I'm paying real money for fish that expire, and the MP prices are outrageously ridiculous.

Do I care about Gaia? To a certain extent, I do care about the direction it's going in. However, as I've gotten older, I'm become more apathetic towards the site in general. It's no longer that special place that I crave for anymore. I've moved on to do other things like college. To me, it's the simple nature of growing up in life.

I still come to Gaia to purchase artwork and talk with many artists. On an extremely rare instance, I'll talk to people in other forums. I used to pay $10 once a month when I was more active. I've not done that in months. {Excluding this month}

I need to pay for gas, credit card bills and even food sometimes.

Exactly my thoughts. but really, I've lost my hope in this site, it has dissapointed so many times and in so many ways, it's not even funny. at first when I posted that Gaia would slowly become a pay to play site and another Neopets judging if Gaia kept going the direction they're going, some users laughed and I actually got flamed by some, now I laugh at them. this new Aquarium, it's just to get users used to the idea of paying to use the site, and of course to make money. I'll just keep coming online to chat and stuff, but nothing that Gaia pulls out of their sleeves will suprise me anymore, and I'll just say, Craig better get all of that ******** to get and treat the CS department a little better, beacuse they are a big part of Gaia ( I know why I say it, if you check the admin list, you'll notice a lot of admins missing, most of them from the CS dept. )
but meh...whatever...I just wish that Lanzer would take control of Gaia again.

As someone who doesn't have the option of going to college, and with more free time on their hands, this site used to mean a lot to me. And to a point, it still does. I'm worried that the site I've always loved since the first day I found it will become an entirely new site altogether.

There are lots of things I want in RL. But I can't afford them. What I always loved about Gaia was that it was something I adored that was 100% free unless I wanted to donate them money. Now, that's gone, and it's depressing. It may be just a site, but it was like a bottomless toy box for those of us that could never afford anything better.

Ah, apologies. Anywho, I've been on Gaia for quite a long time now. March of 04 (not on this account). Gaia's never listened to what the users wanted except for a few measly items that took them two years to finally make. And then of course making them to profit themselves. Also, zOMG, I'm pretty sure that wasn't the top vote for the BS. And if it was, it was a spam vote. I know a lot of people would've been very happy for it to just be called Gaia Battle or something simple like that.

I'm going to Otakon next year for sure. If they don't change things by then, you better believe Lanzer and the rest will hear it in person that it has alienated every single person that has been dedicated to this community.

I used to be one of the users that defended Gaia until the very end. Now I regret it, very very much. And of course, I feel stupid.

What do you mean "treat the CS department a little better" and that they're missing? I haven't heard of this, and now I'm curious.

I remember when Gaia switched it's layout from the anime one to the tourist one. You know, the one that had three people in it who looked like islanders. Anyways when that happened, I b***h my heart out and I boycotted but then I guess I just adjusted and I move on. I still came back to gaia and I told myself gaia was gaia. But then the cash shop came out. Just recently (as in when the gimpi came out) I been buying EIs because I like them but not because I want to make a profit out of them. But I think the day the cash shop came out it's the day gaia went downhill. The DIs were no longer DIs but MCs. The casino couldnt be called that anymore which make me really sad. And then I hear we have a CEO. When the ******** did that happened?! Gaia I love you, I truly, truly do. I have tried other things but I always come back to you. I just hope the day never comes when I login and you're not the gaia I remember anymore. You're forgetting your anime roots and all this sponsorship s**t is doing nothing but making you lose members. The Rejected olympics gave me hope though. You introduce fantasy to us once again something I havent seen from you in a while. And for introducing Will to me Gaia I luffs you <3

They get a TON of money from the con too. They set up shop to sell the items like plushies and hats. With every purchase you get a ticket to spin "The Gaia Wheel" to win an item, of which there is an Angelic Halo and other really old Donation Items. People buy the plushies and hats like crazy just to have a CHANCE to get that Halo.

If I get a chance to, I'll try and organize as many people as possible to protest or just question the admins about their practices on Gaia. The line was huge at Otakon last year (it wrapped around several times and zigzagged almost half an entire floor, which at Otakon is a lot)
