I agree specially with your opinion on the aquariums, no Easter event and the many lies about the MMO release date.

The Aquariums announcement said that some items would be available for cash, not ALL of them.

The Easter event, seriously when I heard Lanzer mentioned they were working on something to make up for the 2k7 screw up I felt good. But then it happened, the MMO had to get in the way and our hopes for an event were destroyed plus the many users that said it was cancelled according to a convention.

The MMO, how many release dates so far? I lost track since the first one in 2004. xd There shouldn't be release dates for anything in Gaia, ever. That way no one gets pissed about broken promises, still they would about the lack of information but oh well. xp

Actually I disagree. We should be notified of everything. And instead of exact dates, they should give SERIOUS estimations. Not the estimations of "It'll come out on ____." then that day comes and they cover their asses by saying it was an estimation. I mean a real one of "Well hopefully it could be out by _____, but it might not be. s**t happens and we hope you understand that."

And when it's not out by that estimated date, they could at least give us some insight as to why. "Oh, we ran out of funding and we're waiting to get more." Now THERE is a way to get your users to actually want to spend $10 on a single item.

Cloud Control - Honestly, without being a conspiracy theorist (Gaia Admins are harboring aliens! BS is a lie! They're controlling us all with subliminal messaging from the sponsors!), they very well could be spending too much income on bullshit. Like the giant KiKi they put in their office, or the stupid softball crap. Yeah, that helps the site a ton, doesn't it?

I think one of my biggest peaves is this is my second account. my first got banned. Again i joined in '04...when i didn't think that gaia would succum to hackers and false mods and when we didn't get warnings. Well i was sent a PM stating that they wanted me to be a mod. So i would go around see questions, see answers that for sure mods posted and i simply repeated them. Two days later i go to log in and it says i was banned for impersonating a mod. So not to long ago i decided to send them an e-mail explaing all this and mainly wanted to know if i could either get the account back, or just the items since i well you know SPENT SLEEPLESS HOURS EARNING THE DARN THINGS! stressed
three months later i get a reply stating that they can't do that because i impersonated a mod. NO DUH! KINDA KNEW THAT ALREDY!!! scream so i fought with them over the course of 5 months because it took so long for them to reply. In short the account is blocked. Thus i found out that all banned accounts items and gold...are frozen when honestly i think they should be redistributed...but whatever. stare not like they care about making their users happy and respect them any more or anything...

That's ridiculous. Did you get in trouble or did nothing happen? I remember someone tried to do that to me too, before towns. They sent me a flower and I said thanks, that was sweet, and they said, "Yeah so can I have your scarf? It's a fair trade!" and when I said no they supposedly reported me for scamming them or something.

Of course I didn't get in trouble for it.
It was stupid of them to report me.

That s**t makes me soooo angry. I also hate beggars.
I really hate selling items on my main because I get
a bunch of PMs from people asking if they can just HAVE
the item I am selling, or if I can lower my price, which
is s**t. I place my vend items at the lowest possible
price so that my item will be up at the top where it
will be notice and purchased more quickly.

I haven't heard of anymore release dates lately, but even so I prefer to just wait until it is actually here instead of hoping because they made another estimate.

That's exactly why I only RP through PMs with people that pass my secret intelligence test.
And speaking of cybering, I haven't even been to the chatterbox in years. Have they done anything about all of the "Girls chained to walls" thread?

What's truly disheartening is that those are real people. I mean, I know that's obvious, but it's just so sad that I prefer to think of them as figments of my imagination. Shows how far people have come...really.

I think it would be somewhat hypocritical to not point at least some of the blame on Lanzer. I do realize that he is not completely at fault though.

Honestly, this bullshit was bound to happen sooner or later. In real life, if a company becomes very successfull past the novice stage, a big business company, CEO or Industry is going to tag along and ******** the company until it rots away and theres nothing left. Then they move on to play with other s**t. Just because Gaia is on the Internet doesn't mean we can escape their grasp. All sites, or the majority of them, get smacked around sooner or later by a big bully of sorts. And now it is our turn to get a**-raped, metaphorically speaking.
