Oh, a big spender huh? I'll be sure to add my fee into the purchase then! wink That works for me, I'll let you know what I come up with tomorrow.

Thinpacks/thinpaks are basically a set of anime dvds for the same series bundle together in one dvd case rather than individually.

For example, the series Elfen Lied it comes on 4 individual dvds - over christmas a perfect collection was released which is all the episodes together in a set. I hope that explains it.

Also to add to what Phae said earlier, don't judge a series by the artwork on the box. Take Divergence Eve, a personal favourite anime series of mine. The box doesn't reflect the series at all. The box art is the main character looking all happy and very busty. Yes the characters all have well over portioned breasts but the plot is very good and quite angsty.

So you'd be either put off by the art work or expecting a feel good series - and disappointed if that was what you are expecting.

It's better to do as you are, and ask anime fans what they like - random purchases tend to be a waste of money.

Just get torrents and download them. Pirate it.

That was what I was more referring to and it pretty much overshadowed anything else you said.

Sure I saw you mention Animenation, but I've never used them so I couldn't particularly say anything.

When you're dirt poor torrents (and FREE downloads) are your best friend.

I don't agree, though this is just my opinion - even if you aren't that well off in the money department it's still quite easy to get some anime if you are willing to look around.

Okay, so I pretty much lived off the Excel Saga (which I now hate) for 6 months or so. I didn't have any access to the internet then and downloading anything wasn't an option!
I read Phae's post (the one that was deleted,) but I didn't see anything that mentioned judging an anime by its cover. What were you referring to when you talked about that, Lumi?

And thanks for making the list for me.

I've heard of Excel Saga before. Is it worth buying?

Also, thanks for the suggestion Phae. I'll go look at AnimeNation.

I may have been mistaken, who knows?

Not really, most of it's fillers anyway. Also the dub is no good, they have to change the English VA half way through because the first strained her voice so much. And the replacement they get isn't very good at being Excel.

The Japanses language version is better, but I know other series the Japanese VA has been in and knowing that makes it impossible to watch.
I see. Maybe Phae will know, because I don't remember seeing that. (Although I might have missed it.)

Anyways, I know what you mean. It's hard to watch because you keep picturing the voice actor as another character that you've seen.

So what other series has she played in?

She was Misato Kisaragi in Neon Genesis Evangelion, even though Excel and Misato have small similiarities, they are way too different - and I couldn't watch it like that.
Oh I see now.

Well, I haven't watched that anime yet. So should I get Excel Saga?

It's up to you, it is available over here. I personally don't like it, too many fillers and the obvious dub issues.

Okay. Thanks Lumi.

So any ideas on the questions yet?

I have a couple of ideas, but nothing that points to what it could be. The clues are more vague than before and I'm thinking that there may be a red herring for one of the clues to make us think of other things.

Not to mention one of the clues is rather based on opinion over fact, so what is the true answer when something is based on an opinion?
Which one was based on opinion?

And maybe they made the questions harder this time around because they thought the last ones were too easy?

I believe it's the last one regarding the 'rapper' Vanilla Ice.

Who knows, it's hard to tell what the Admin think half the time.
