Peoples of the Chatterbox I ask you in all seriousness if you could ask a video game artist any question what would it be?

Replies from artists or video game enthusiasts preferred,
but it can’t hurt to try and come up with something so I encourage everyone to participate.

It seems as though most of the focus in the video game business is geared towards systems rather than games.. Don't get me wrong, there are a LOT of great new games out there! Remember the PSone and all of the great RPGs?
Remember how said RPGs used to be about substance and plot rather than graphics and movies?

My question is: why did that all change? Is there a possibility of a return of the classic RPG? Why not use some of the manpower it takes to keep re-creating the same sports games year after year to help out?
