Howdy, all! I've been on Gaia under the moniker xDarkEyesx since wayyyyy back in March of 2004.
I usually go by Dex or Deckz, or any other spelling variant that could be seen as an abbreviation of my username.
You could also call me V, or Vanne if you wanna get personal. heart
When I joined Gaia, it was mainly to keep in touch with friends after a cross- country move (this was before Facebook, MySpace was in its infancy, and AIM was the only real way of real-time communication online). My love for the site grew, and so did my friendships. I spent a lot of time in the CB, GD, and Barton. I remember when they launched fishing, and I spent a good amount of time catching guppies.
These days, all of my old friends are many years gone from the site and I, myself, am back from a decade-long hiatus. It's been fun looking around and seeing what's changed! So much is different.... One thing that has not changed, though, is my love of Monthly Collectible and Event pixels.
Since I've been back (late February 2021-Dec 2022, and now again as of March 2024, I've been picking away at a Wishlist that was started back when I was half the age I am now.
It's really cool to see that things I probably never would have been able to afford "back in the day" are far more attainable now. I've grabbed so many items that set my nostalgic little heart alight with joy!

-Donating where I can, because kindness is contagious.
-Dusting off my old colored pencils and markers (because I'm not hip with the times) and practicing drawing so that I have some sort of offering to give donators if they'd like avi art.
