I had a friend that I had met during my Freshman year of high school. She was my best friend, always helping me on my various quests over the last few years. I always tried to return the favor, although sometimes I couldn't - which I really regret now.

Rie passed away the night of February 8th, 2011 having suffered injuries resulting from a car accident. She was hospitalized for a few days, but she didn't pull through. I'm going to miss her dearly.

Rest in Peace, Rei.

The name of this charity, "The Desert Rose", comes from one of her favorite item on here, Majnun, which she owned two of. She gifted one to me a couple weeks ago. I had asked her why she liked it so much, and her response was, "I like the flower." Looking back at Majnun, I noted that the pose it titled "My Only Desert Rose". This phrase has stuck with me, and gave me the idea for the name of the charity.
