Its $4.00 a gallon over here. gonk I have no idea of the reason, but my dad feels it must be tied in with the recent government overthrow in Egypt.

last I saw we were still under $3.00 but its probably not gonna stay like that. Oklahoma still produces SOME of its own oil, but its gonna catch up to us you just know it XP

Oh wow, I didn't know that any of the states produced their own oil.

Truthful Seeker

I don't know about many others, I think Texas also has some, maybe some small reserves in New Mexico, but I don't know. I hear Alaska has allot, but they haven't really tapped that cause its in places where drilling might hurt the environment. =/

Tulsa was the Oil Capitol of the world (so I heard) at some point, like back in the early 1900s I think. Supposedly we're really looking into containing and using Natural Gas as that's what remains in the oil wells after the oil's been drained out, so there's allot of that still left. Of course, I've been seeing allot of solar panels while traveling from city to city and there's rumors of investing more into wind power in the western part of the state, but I don't go there much.
......I kind of thought everyone was taught this stuff, but I guess its a midwest thing? ^w^;;

Maybe, but then natural resources was never a subject that much interested me so I likely wouldn't have payed attention anyway. sweatdrop
Energy talk is big around here, so its hard for me at least to not pick up stuff. I've a knack for picking up useless amusing fun facts XD
i hate that gas and oil keeps going up and down in price. it sucks >.< sadly all of the states that have their own oil will one day run out and then they will be stuck with us who are having oil price problems. but i don't know much of what is going on with everything. i don't watch a lot of news...
