Oh hey I saw your avi thread today. I'm thinking about helping you out on that. It's the least I can do after you've been so nice to me. So care to elaborate what you like and I'll see if I get any ideas.

I decided against it.
I remembered how bad some entries were.
And I actually got a pretty awesome avatar at a tektek shop!
So I'm gonna save my money and support some tektek shops!

Lol. Yeah not all the people out there are good at figuring out a clients tastes.
Most people I've seen do the avi's according to their tastes and disregard your ideas completely.
That's why most times I make my own avi's.
Oh like this one. XD

It's really expensive though so that's a one day avi. XD
What do you think?
Oh and can I see the avi you ordered?

Yea but it's worse in contests.
You keep telling people that you don't like the way they do avatars
(some do really generic ones.. Like rally avatars.. Chayku, Lusty, katana, demonic items..)
and then they keep posting it. And i hate to say outright "Your avatars are too generic"
So then it becomes tedious to reply to post after post.
And then some people hit and run. They make avatars for all the contests
so they don't even read the rules.
And then when it all comes down to it, I don't even really like some creations.

Oh the Jill hair is super cute!
So are the Kanoko eyes!
Honestly I think Kanoko and Oisin's look the best.
Kanoko's so darn expensive and the Mariko doll is just obscene.

Here's the one that was made.

It's super cute but I'm not spending 2m just for a hair I won't use again.
So I substituted some items.

Lol I hate hit and runs too! XD They annoy me so much! It's like they post and then poof they're gone. XD I used to do that for free art threads. XD So I shouldn't be complaining about them. I don't do it anymore though.

Yeah I held a contest like that once and to be honest I was disappointing with the entries I got back too. I specifically asked for no clutter and most of the entries were clutter filled.

Yeah the Kanoko eyes are a let down seeing as they're so darn cute but too expensive. >.>

The avi is nice. I was beginning to wonder why your avi looked different it's really cute though.
I like the Geek Chic hair for that avi though. Looks cuter. XD

I also added another contest called Word Of The Day. Everyday I'll pick a random word and whoever uses it correctly in a sentence gets 1k. Pretty good right? I was also thinking of doing a guess that picture! Type contest but idk how to zoom in to a specific part of a picture. XD I wonder if that contest would even catch on?

zoom in, print screen, and then paste it in.
You should get a zoomed in picture.
Then just cut it out using the dotted square tool thing..

What's that picture is pretty simple. I'll pick a random picture that can range from art by artists like Picasso or Leonardo Da Vinci etc to anime's or even kids books. I'll zoom in on a part of the picture and I'll post the zoomed in part on here for all to see. Then that's where you come in. You have to guess what the picture is. If it's a classical piece I'd prefer that you post the name of the artwork and the artist that painted it. Ex Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci. If it's an anime post the person who you think it is and the name of the anime. Ex Miharu from Girls Bravo. For kids books pictures please post the name of the book and the character. Ex Goldilocks from Goldilocks and The Three Bears. This contest will change only once someone has figured out what the picture is.

Since this is a bit harder the winner may get from 1k to 5k depending on the complexity of the picture itself.

I think you should narrow the cateogories down.
It seems much to broad right now.
I don't really know anime so I have no idea what Girls Bravo is.
And I feel that not many people know fine art (sad at it is. My boyfriend
could only name like one artist..)
