Tales of Hearts trailer (about 2 minutes)

While the CG looks nice, I think Namco should stay with the anime-style artwork for the Tales series. It doesn't feel right with the full blown 3-D shizz. Not that they're gonna localize this one either. v.v They REALLY need to localize some Tales games for the DS.

Edit: Apparently they're releasing two versions, the CG'd version, and the anime-styled one. What are they trying to doooo? D:

@Remi: Yeah it's pretty and all, but...iunno. >_<; I dun like it. Maybe it's because the in game graphics are totally 2D, and it doesn't match the 3D stuff? With Final Fantasy for DS, at least the in game graphics are 3D, if simple. But for Tales...maybe I'm just used to the Tales art. It seems a shame to scrap it in favor of CG.

So is gameplay in sprites but the Cutscenes in high def CGI? XD. Ahh i guess it does look kind of weird, still pretty, but jarring to jump back and forth.

Blech. I think I'm just biased in favor of the Tales art. It's just too weird not seeing the anime type cutscenes in a Tales game. u_u

On the other hand, I totally like the way Archaic Sealed Heat looks, despite switching between 3D (albeit of lesser quality than the Tales one) and 2D. Maybe because the 3D scenes are lesser, I can stand them a little more. Anyway this game is supposed to come stateside, so yay. =3
