A young Zoombini sat beneath a large willow tree overhanging a small river. The long fronds of the ageing wise willow swayed gently in the breeze that accompanied the river's movement, leaves gliding one way, then the other. Ears twitching lightly, and her wings resting on her back, she watches the leaves with fascination.

[Beat Fu]

Alii had left her mother and brother for a bit of tentative exploring. Not meaning that she had been confident enough to leave the water. She swum just beneath the water in the small stream, occasionaly chasing a fish or two and generaly just enjoying the pleasant weather.

[Feathered Soul]

Shina, a black Zoombini with curly hair, slowly walked over a bridge that led over a river. The bridge was connected to a narrow path that lead through a park where trees rested. Shina went to the river's edge and looked among the stones that lay there. She pushed some of the smaller stones away to search for snails.

"Whatcha looking for?"

Sokari had softly shuffled to her feet and waddled over to Shina, curious about this dark Zoombini, but just as curious about what she was doing.

[Beat Fu]

alii bubbled lightly, a bit unhappy by the presence of the new zoombini's. It wasn't that she didn't like them, she just wasn't sure if she was comfortable talking to strangers without her mommy around. She watched them quietly from under the waves, waiting.

[Feathered Soul]

Shina blinked rapidly, surprised that there were others in the area. She turned her head to look at the stranger. "Oh. Hello. I'm looking for snails here. I thought there might be some around." She smiled at her, but she felt a bit tense. Is someone else watching us?

[Amy D]

Sokari giggled.

"Why do you want snails?" she asked, typically childish and inquisitive.

She shifted her feet idly, kicking at the dust and odd pebble by the side, and learning how to grasp and pluck small flowers using just the two toes on her foot. She had yet to see, or sense, Alii's presence, and was unaware even of the feeling of being watched. For an Angelic, she was pretty lacking in her abilities.

Shina put her hands back into the muddy water and felt around the boulders. "Well..." She waded into the river, shivering as its coldness hit her. "I just thought it would be interesting to find some. I guess I think they are sort of fun to play with." Shina stopped. The feeling of someone staring at her still hadn't left. "Umm..." Shina slowly turned around and walked back to the stranger. "I'm Shina. May I know your name?" Shina looked around her somewhat worriedly.

Sokari thought for a few moments.

"I've never played with snails before, are they fun?" she replied straight away, tentatively following a short way behind Shina, but then stopping as the darker Zoomb turned around and returned.

"I'm Sokari."

[Beat Fu]

Alii swum back slightly, diving a little deeper and listening with her sharp ears to the conversation. She made up her mind suddenly and kicked around, swimming back towards the ocean with purpose.

Shina smiled. "Nice to meet you, Sokari. Snails. Well, they're fun to watch. You can poke their eye-stocks and they'll retreat. They leave slimy trails too. Their nice enough to play with if you're bored. You might be able to race them, but they're so slow..." Shina trailed off a bit. The glaring feeling had gone, but she was still curious of who had been watching them. "What were you doing here? Anything fun?"
