I do both machine stitched and hand stitched. Mostly on machine. If you want to print on softies, I'd do it before they are sewn, it's easier. You can paint them after they are sewn, but printing on them would be hard because of the depth.

Or, you can get the printer ready cloth and print on that, or onto iron on transfers, either would be sweet!

It seemed for a great while, the Library had chosen to remain dormant. Those who may have chosen to visit, might have noticed that it was eerily silent and strangely... normal. In truth, it was merely saving its strength. In recent years, its illusions and tricks had grown in depth and ability. The Library was slowly becoming stronger, and it's magicks more fine tuned. The children that were born from its books, seemed to be slightly older, and not nearly as feeble as the first of the children.

Even still, the Library was tired of waiting. It was growing tired of the quiet and was becoming ever restless. Another child, another life! Yes, that was what it wanted.

The House seemed to shudder and quake. It's windows rattled, the foundation groaned in protest, and the sound of laughter was heard in the distance as a young man with feathered black wings darted out of the House in a panic, a young, pale boy in his wake and a crumpled piece of paper clenched in one hand...

Raven's heart had almost stopped... seriously what was that? He could barely catch his breath as the previous events replayed through his head. He pressed his hand against a large tree trunk and closed his eyes. "Home" he thought, and as instantly as the image of his dusty apartment appeared in his mind a door formed on the trunk of the tree.

"Door?" A wispy voice spoke from behind him. It was the child, the child who appeared out of the book. That's right, the book was calling to him, how did he even get into that place? Raven's mind was racing again, but before he could question the boy he walked past him and opened the door himself. A bright light enveloped them both as the door was pushed open. The boy walked past the threshold of the door and turned around. "I think my name is Intus... I'm here to save you." And with that he disappeared into the light.

Raven's mind was surprisingly blank. He could think of nothing, all he could do was follow the strange boy. "Home."

ANNOUNCEMENT
Guardians, please be sure to read!

For the sake of sparing our artists and to make growths a little, well, quicker -- and not just in because of art but for the player so they're not stuck playing a baby/toddler for eternit -- we're contemplating reducing the stages as a whole. Our thoughts on this are as follows:

Stages would potentially be Baby, Child, Teen, Young Adult, and Adult.

A baby stage would encompass infant to toddler years, specifically in actual years, newborn to about 3 or 4 years of age. How old the child is physically and mentally would be left up to the player. It can be assumed if they begin as an actual baby, that the child would grow quickly IC-ly and changes could be noted by the player before the next stage.

A child would be age 6 to 12.
A teen would be 13 to 16.
A young adult would be 17 to 19.
An adult would be 20+

Once again, those numbers are approximate and the player/guardian would be allowed to choose what age they want their kiddo to be specifically. Growth requirements for journals are as follows:

1RP (minimum 2000 words)
1 Solo (minimum 1000 words)

Toddler :: 2RPs (includes House RP), 4 Solos
Child :: 3RPs, 8 Solos, Quest
Teen :: 6RPs, 15 Solos, Quest
Young Adult :: 12RPs, 20 Solos, Quest
Adult :: Final Stage, no additional requirements necessary but continued activity will be rewarded.

For those worried about the requirements, if requested, the staff would be willing to review particularly lengthy or in-depth solos/RPs to determine if they should qualify as more than one. We haven't yet had time to do it yet, but we'll sent tentative guidelines for word count for this, etc.

Our immediate concerns: Growths, people who are at in-between-stages that will be condensed and/or will be considered non-existent in the future, and busy/missing artists.

What we want to do about this: Offer growths first to those who have been active and have maintained their journals despite the shop's general inactivity and potentially bump everyone in in-between stages up to the next stage or allow them to opt to stay where they are for the time being. The roadblock that stands in our way, again, is busy or otherwise MIA artists. At the moment, art can be provided by Faevan, Reyna, and ende (though we haven't recently harassed sweet ende properly to confirm this). Also, a handful of you had art by TrinityBlue, and while it has not been confirmed, we're fairly certain she's still about..? (Ice, do you know? heart )

That having been said, you may not get the person you chose way back when PMs about artists were sent out. Please rest assured, though, the art you will receive will be of quality and will from hence forth be consistent. Responsibilities for growths will be divvied up between the artists we have so that there's an even work load that everyone can manage rather than tossing a huge amount of work onto one person. If anyone has a complaint or comment about this, please let us know. We want to be as accommodating as possible, but at the same time, we need to be fair to our staff artists and to... well.. everyone involved in this shop.

Also of note, this is NOT being implemented immediately. This is being posted for guardians to review and comment on. We want your feedback before adhering to these new policies. Please feel free to discuss what you think about this in the thread. If you're not comfortable doing so, please PM the shop account with any comments, suggestions, or questions.
