I - Please do not borrow or steal any of the lineart here. You are welcome to create a shop based on the Warriors as I do not own any of the idea, which is (C) to Erin Hunter, but please come up with your own information and research as I did. So no borrowing of my lists or information I have provided within this thread. A lot of time, reading and effort has been put into the making of this thread and all the information in it. Any borrowing or stealing of information will result in thread banning. I do not mind if you use the ideas from the books, just do your own research and get your own information instead of nabbing it from my thread to create your own.

II - You may not use any of the art found here to enter into art contests or galleries such as Elfwood and DevArt. You may, however, if you entered a coloring contest use the entry as examples of your coloring work for other Gaia coloring contest threads. Please do not claim the lineart to be your own work.

III - The pet you receive for your signature may be used for Gaia uses such as your journal, signature or personal websites. Do not redistribute any of this art, resell or retrade for any other pets on Gaia or other sites without SilverPelt's permission.

IV - The Warrior cats are not roleplay required, but there are perks if you do roleplay your cat.

V - Please do not slander or flame staff, owners or nonowners in this thread, if there is a problem please PM staff and hopefully we will be able to settle any problem civilly.

VI - Please do not pm SilverPelt over Warriors unless requesting a custom or have a problem to settle. Those PMing asking for a pet will be ignored. All other PMs should be directed to StarClan. Please do not pm other owners asking for their pet or babies of their pets.

VII - Be kind to everyone in the thread please, new and old.

VIII - There are no refunds. If your pet is taken away due to breaking any of the rules above or rules of the TOS then you can not ask for your gold or items back. You may request that the pet be finished to agreed stage and keep the art for your own uses.

IX - Warrior cats must be named in order with the naming rules.

X - Warrior cats must be natural colors. There are no pink with blue stripes cats in real life. There will be dye that can be administered by a medicine cat which will color your cat's natural fur to be a certain tint in a wanted pattern. There will be rare colored auctions as well in the future.

XI - Please read and obey all the rules, it will make staff very happy!




More About Naming Rules

Your cat's name has to be based on something a cat would see or have heard of in the forest. Elements, animals, plants, colors and the like would all make a fine beginning to a name. Examples would be water, tree, blossom, night, star, whisker, and so on.

A kitten would use the first part of your name along with kit on the end. So for example if you chose Sun the name would be Sunkit.

When your kit grows he or she then becomes an apprentice and is given the name paw at the end, so now your pet would be named Sunpaw.

When your cat becomes a warrior, IC the second part of the name is given by the clan leader. The colorist who is growing your cat ultimately chooses the name OOC though. A warrior name could be Sunstripe, Sunpelt, etc. If you really would like a certain name you may discuss it with your colorist.

Horses, Loners, Dogs, Bloodclan, and House Cats may have any name you desire.



Coloring Rules

Cats must be natural colors, they can not come in pink, green, etc. There are, however, dyes that can be obtained by the medicine cat that can tint your cat's fur to a certain color and pattern. Weird colored cats may be obtained though customs, auctions, and events.

FAQs

1.) Can I have one for free?
Though it isn't our usual practice, if we see a dedicated newbie or owner in the shop who we feel deserves a new cat we may gift one to them. Don't beg for a free cat though!

2.) OMG! There's another cat that's the same colors as mine! It almost looks the same!
Well, these are based after real cats and its going to happen, especially for solid colored cats like black and white. Understand that you can't have the only calico or grey tabby in the shop, though colorists will try to put in as much variety as possible. If you want something completely different from other cats then be creative. Add shapes in the fur or different colored eyes. My mom owns a black cat with a perfect white heart on her chest, so I know its possible to have kitties with almost perfect shapes.

3.) ACK! I breed my pure black cat with another pure black cat and all the kittens are black!
Um, well next time choose a different mate? Breeding two black cats together will result in almost all pure black babies! Like I said you will see other cats that will look like yours!

4.) I have a kitten! how long does it take to grow?
Well newborn to kitten takes one to two weeks, depending on your colorist, though if you are roleplaying then you can request to to withhold the growth until needed. Then your kitten grows into an apprentice in one to two week after that. You cat will be in the apprentice stage for two to three weeks after that. Once your cat grows into a warrior you can choose to keep it that way or decide when it is considered an elder, though there is no extra lineart stage for that. Then if you are actively roleplaying and decide to have your cat join Starclan, the elder will pass away and receive their wings.

5.) I want a kitty with wings!
Well that can be accomplished though roleplay and death of your pet, in which your cat goes to roleplay in Starclan and is essentially an angel watching over your clan. They can communicate with their clans though dreams and when the clan goes to visit Mothermouth. They are very much still roleplayable but are in there own area where they do not die, grow old, or run out of prey. They also can not breed at this stage as they have gone to SilverPelt in the stars.

6.) I do not want to roleplay, and I didn't pet trade or get a custom, but I want to get my cat to grow to elder stage and then go to starclan!
This is possible though bribes. PM Silverpelt to discuss.

7.) Are there dream cats?
Silverpelt introduced the dream pet idea in Equus, and it originally was allowed here, but right now we have no formal dream cat system. If you wish to RP cats you are questing for but do not yet own you will have to RP them in the OOC forum.

8.) Ack! My pet is too big for the sig limit!
Though some colorists will save your cert as a .jpg for you, Silver and Twi love .png because they have better quality. But this comes at a price, your file will often be very large, so be sure to check and resave your pet in another format if you want it in your signature!

9.) Ohh! Can kittens flirt and get it on?
Um no! Newborns and kittens do not know anything about love yet!
Once your cat has reached 6 months, the apprentice stage then you may feel free to develop relationships.

10.) How do I find a mate for my Kitty!?
Well roleplay is great, but if you don't want to and you want to breed your warrior then just ask around the thread if anyone is interested in hooking up in a non roleplay relationship. Though do not continually pester a owner on breeding with them, no means no!

11.)One my kitty finds a mate do they have to stay together forever?
Well no, they're are cats silly! Ever see one cat stay with one mate? So, no they don't, but they are very welcome to it! In roleplay the female cat doesn't even have to tell the clan who the father of the kits are even if she chooses not to tell.

12.)I want to RP! Where can I do it?
You can do it right here in the thread! The guild is also a good place to RP, and a ton of information on the warriors world can be found there.

Don't forget to read the IC Updates thread to find out what is happening in your clan before you start!

Stages

Newborns: Newborns are kept in the nursery at all times unless the medicine cat takes the kitten to cure it. Otherwise the mother is constantly with the newborn and only leaves to relieve herself; food and water is brought to her. Water is brought by soaking moss.

Kittens: Kittens spend almost all of their time near or in the nursery. They do not stray from their mothers and are constantly on watch. They love to play outside the nursery and are learning to eat real food.

Apprentice: Once the kitten reaches six months they have to leave the nursery and join the other training apprentices in the apprentice dens. The mother is then able to go back to the warrior den and resume her duties. This is when they are given the last part of their name paw instead of kit and are trained to become a warrior. They spend their time training with their mentor and taking care of the elders.

Warrior: Once named a warrior, the clan leader gives the apprentice the last part of their name. It can be anything that is recognized by cats, such as pelt, fur and claw are popular ones.
As a warrior they spend their time patrolling the borders, marking their territory, catching prey for the clan and attending to important tasks.

Elder: Once an elder you spend most of your time telling stories, resting and eating. They stay mostly in the camp and barely leave to go anywhere. This is the time for cats to relax and wait to join StarClan. By no means does this mean they lose status! Elders are well looked after and are remembered as warriors and well respected by all warriors; maybe not as much by apprentices because they usually are hard on 'em, but they learn.

Death: Once an elder has come to pass in the cycle of life, they join StarClan and recieve their wings to walk in the starlight where prey is plenty.

Medicine cats and medicine cat apprentices are currently not available through customs. The position is still available through a substantial amount of roleplay of an apprentice arranged with an existing medicine cat. Free RP contests will also be held for custom medicine cats if a clan begins to run low on actively roleplayed ones.

If you are ordering a Thunderclan cat, please specify which pose you would like for the adult, standing or sitting.

Please send the form directly to the colorist you are ordering from (after checking if their customs are open!), since the mule may not be checked regularly.

exclaim Semi-customs are now available! You can choose up to three colors and the clan of the cat and the colorist decides the markings with those colors. You can also give the colorist a name and a gender with the order, so they *might* make a cat that fits the name and gender. Otherwise, give that info when the colorist shows you the finished product. The prices are as follows:

50k for naturally colored adult semi-custom
100k for naturally colored growing semi-custom
300k for unnaturally colored adult semi-custom
500k for unnaturally colored growing semi-custom

Semi-customs can be editted, but it's 100k+ per stage, whether or not the edits are up to the colorist or not. When filling out the form, the order of the colors convey its dominance in terms of markings. For example, if your colors are black, grey, and white, then your cat would have a black base with large grey markings and small white markings.

ThunderClan

It's chilly! The trees still offer protection from much of the wind though. Prey is hard to find but not impossible, an extra patrol or too covers it. The fallen leaves on the ground keep paws from becoming too cold while hunting too. Older cats are complaining about aching joints, but otherwise the medicine cats feel confident in the health of the clan.


RiverClan

The river is so cold, even seasoned warriors think twice about taking a swim while catching fish. More prey would be ideal, but no one is going too hungry. The camp is rather damp though, not the best time to be raising kits! No illness yet, but the medicine cats don't like how small the supply of catmint is should anyone fall ill.


ShadowClan

Things are not looking good. Cats have been hanging around the carrionplace for a scrap or too, even though it sometimes means fighting off rats. At first there was enough food for the elders and kits, but now everyone is at the end of their ropes. The catmint is gone. Illness will come, the only question is when.


Windclan

It's cold. The winds are rougher than usual, most cats stay in camp if they can. Fewer border patrols are going out as hunting patrols are being increased to catch the few scrawny rabbits still on the moors. No sickness yet though. Perhaps hunger will be the only problem this season.

Breeding


General Breeding Rules

I - You must complete at least 2 roleplays between the couple. You should include meeting, falling in love, and simply hanging out together, if you are applying for a role play breeding slot. There are no requirements for a non roleplay breeding slot.

II - Breeding prices will be determined by Breeder, You may offer bribes if you so wish to the breeder of your choice. RolePlayers will recieve Lower prices and an extra kit above the dice roll number.

III - You may do many things with your kits. You may keep them, give them away, or sell them in your own auctions. You are responsible for your own auctions, the shop will not hold them for you. You also may trade your kits for other pets in other shops, for their customs, or offer a flat rate for your kits to others. 100% of the earnings is yours, like how breedables once worked.

IV - Non roleplay are now offered, this is up to the breeder on if they wish to open non roleplay slots. Non roleplayers will have to pay higher prices for breedings.

V - No fighting or arguing over breedings. Know how you will split the kits and who will pick first before you request a breeding.

VI - Same sex couples are not able to breed.

VII - Full time colorists will have 3 breeding slots a month, if they wish to open all. Part time colorists will have 1 breeding slot a month and may choose to open it or not. Prices will vary depending on breeder.

VIII - Random rolls are held for breedings, number from 1 to 5. If you are a roleplayer you will recieve a extra kit.

VIIII- If your cats are apprentices and breeding they will have a 50% mortality rate.



Raffle Breedings

I - You do not need roleplay for these slots. This is a free raffle, but if you win you must pay 10k for the breeding.

II - For this breeding slot type you may not sell any extra kits, you must give them away. Only one kit per owner may be kept.

III - You can enter two cats that you own, but you only get one kit from the breeding.

VI - You may enter as many pairs as you want.




Cross Clan Kits

From now on cross clan kits will have a 50% mortality rate. We'll attribute it to stress and the lack of Starclan's blessing. First kits will be randomized as usual. Secondly, a number will be randomized for each kit, one means they are perfectly healthy, a two means they are either stillborn or they join Starclan a few days after they are born. A cat may end up with the whole litter, or none. We don't want to forbid cross clan relationships entirely, but we felt this was a fair consequence.

Medicine cats (whether one or two are involved) will have an even harsher consequence, with a 75% mortality rate, same type of randomizing as last time.

Parents will have to decide who gets first choice before asking for a breeding, in case only one kit is born healthy.

Caffe has some requests for her slots. Since Im not charging anything. Since i believe that breeding shouldn't cost anything when you have put in so much rp time, Im asking that you not sell or make a profit off them. That's not too much to ask, is it? If you have extra kits feel free to give them away or hold an event of sorts i just don't want to see auctions on them.Sorry if thats what you want im sure one of the other colorists would love to color.

Most people call me Naynay, I've sorta lost track of when I got my first warrior. I know Thunderclaw was among the first cats of Warriors ITW though. I became a colorist later on and of course I can't remember when it was but it was after Twi. As far as warriors go my favorite to roleplay sorta switches, but I seem to favor Tornadotail the giant of Windclan. He wasn't born to Windclan but joined them after helping them through a rough time. He is about a head of more taller then the rest of the clan XD.
