At the edge of a small wooded area about half a mile west of Barton Town, two-story wooden cabin sits snugly between a gigantic sycamore tree and a small stream. Leading to it is an unpaved path that continues on to join a main road. The cabin itself is surrounded by flowerbeds filled with exotic plants. On the babin door is a bright read line about a foot from the ground, with a sign above it: "If you are taller that this line, please do not enter the second floor unless with special permission or under emergency." A second look reveals that the roof seems unusually low.
Inside, the first floor proved to be quite spacious, with a big fireplace, two wide, squishy couches with about ten cushions each, bean bags and love sacs of all sizes, extra cushions piled neatly in a corner, and an entire wall dedicated to bookshelves stuffed full with volumes of all kinds. A glass-topped coffee table sits in front of the two couches. Behind a low wooden screen is the kitchen. At the back of the room is an extremely narrow staircase leading up to the second floor; a ladder rests against the wall beside it, labeled "For Emergencies ONLY"
On the tiny staircase leading to the second floor is a note written in miniture handwriting.
The Note
We appologize for the delays; there have been a few unexpected obsticles during the constrution of this section of the house. We will try to get everything in order ASAP. Meanwhile, please keep out of the indicated area.
Thank you.
Thank you.
The Second Floor: STILL Under Construction.
Even though it's almost a month after Christmas, the tree is still sitting quite contently in its little corner. Maybe someone can manage to get it out before Easter...not many have tried.
