Alaxandara: The deaf teen padded along the edge of the treeline. She didn't feel she deserved to live as she couldn't find what she did for the world.

Belano walked quietly along, twisting every so often to look back at the way he had come. No one followed him, but he felt like he was being watched nonetheless. Such were the moody swings of a teen fox, the oppressive behavior of a concerned owner irritating, the liberties granted not enough. He sought the river, where he always found serenity in the gently flowing waters...even if he couldn't swim in them.

Alaxandara: Seeing the fox Belano that was her childhood friend she livened up, she hasn't seen him in seemingly forever. Padding up to the male the little deaf female came and lightly touched him on the shoulder in greeting.

Someone was coming, Belano could hear them. He scented Alex before she touched him, but he waited until she said her greeting before looking up and smiling at her, waving with a paw. Trust Alex to appear out of nowhere and brighten a dull day. He wrote "How are you?" In the dirt below them, pointing at her.

*huggles gatekeeper*

Alaxandara: The deaf kit read the writing on the dirt and replied 'eh ok just trying to get away from home' smiling weakly.

Belano read the words, frowning slightly at the melencholy undertone. She seemed to be in much the same mood as himself, a strage realization that another could be feeling the itch of teenager-dom. He wrote "Me too." And pointed toward the river bank that led away from thier homes, mimicking walking as if to say "Lets go?"

Alaxandara: Nodding she motioned with her paw for him to follow her she started to follow the stream hoping there was adventure to be found somewhere, she knew her mother cared about her but she had been asking to many questions and she didn't want to go back just then.

Belano nodded, understanding that he was to follow her, and took off in step with Alex, looking from her well conceiled sadness behind him. Why didn't she want to go home? Rather than bring up something potentially dangerous and hurtful, he took the easy way out, staring at the trees, the ground, the river, anything that would keep his mind clear of questions.

Alaxandara: Her mind buzzed with how useless her life was, she felt her life just took from the earth. She couldn't heal or hunt or do helpful things for other foxes. She looked around and was happy that Belano was walking by her. She felt her muscles relax a bit and her mind clear to the scenery around her.

Finally he couldn't take it anymore. Silently cursing his curious nature, and knowing that he was playing with fire, Belano nudged Alex to get her attention, and, pointing behind them toward the homes, then at her. He then shook his head and shrugged, hoping that he didn't look like some strange fox, or worse, he communicated the wrong thing. Panic momentarily flittered across his mind before reassurance settled in. Alex was a smart fox. She would understand.

Alaxandara: Sitting down and sighing she scratched in the dirt 'I'm such a useless thing her head down and her useless ears flicking.

He read the words carefully, once, twice, three times. Useless?! What on earth brought this about. But she wasn't usless at all! He quickly carved into the ground "You are not useless!"
