A pixel and line art "changing pets" shop!

Hi! Sorry about this, but we kinda moved. D: After having a critical eye turned on my shop... I realised that it sucked. (Plus, no one seemed interested in the idea of having a shop that accepted ALL the b/c pets.)

So I'm doing a massive re-vamp and abandoning this shop. I've got a new b/c i/t set up, that will soon be a shop. If you're interested in any of the line art that was in this shop, then you're welcome to go check out the new thread.

About Me
I am normally called Nyow. I am sixteen, living in northern USA, have a puppy, a rabbit and a tarantula named "Cuddles"!
I have been doing pixel art for years as part of a series of sprite-based webcomics. The first was "Chocolate Sprites" hosted on Drunk Duck. When that eventually fell through, I came up with two new ones (Rants of an Otaku and Survivor: Sprite Island) and hosted them on Smackjeeves. One day my computer died, and wiped out my entire spritework database... So I've had to start from scratch. As a result, my comics are all on indefinate haitus, so if you bother to look them up, don't ask why I don't update them. XD
I've been drawing the old-fashioned way with a pencil and paper since I was three... And I can draw anything at all that you ask for... On paper. Digitally is another story. I'm "Okay" at digital art, but it's much easier for me to draw something on paper, scan it, and then spen 5 hours editing it then it is to spend 30 hours making it from scratch. I can do coloring very easily though. I just can't make non-pixel art shapes.
I got interested in evolving art through "Drag Cave", a clickable pixel dragon website. After trying for ages, I finally have some eggs from there!

Okay, so welcome to the place where you learn about buying your evolving pixels! Whether you're after a dragon, faerie or something totally new, you will want to read this post!

There are several ways to obtain evolving art:

Flat-Rate Buying
Find one avalible on the post shelves below, and PM me to purchase it. Purchasing is simple. PM me saying you would like to buy the peice, and then set up a trade, preferably with the title being something like "Art Payment" or something like that. Offer the amount of gold or item required, and you will recieve a flower in exchange and a PM with the pet information and permissions of use so you don't get in trouble for having it. Accept the trade, and respond to the PM with the name and gender of your pet.
You MUST send the name and gender of the pet to me within one week, or your pet will NOT evolve! You will recieve a new code once I have the name and gender, and that will be your permanent code. Note: Sometimes gender is already set.

Auction
Sometimes I will come up with something truely nifty, and decide to auction it off. These pets ussually have five or more stages, are one of a kind, and are very expensive. (Note: This does not mean that the other pets are NOT unique. This simply means that I do not use any bases for the pet or it is a very cool idea.)
You can find auction pets on the post podium below. If you win an auction, you will follow the basic rules for flat-rate buying at the agreed upon price.

Contests
Sometimes I will have contests where the winner gets a free evolving pixel. These are not easy to win, and will sometimes be raffles where you must purchase a ticket. Complexity of the pixel will determine how hard it is to enter or win.

Line art on later post.
These are very difficult for me, and very expensive as a result. The price depends entirely on what you want, how many stages, etc. If I can use base artwork like the examples shown and simply edit them to your taste, that means a lesser price then if I have to draw each individual evolution anew. Prices will range from a MINIMUM of 3K to anywhere in the hugely large amounts if it's something really complex. PM me to negotiate a commission.

Pssst! There's a couple other line art first-stage... Special ones for christmas. But you can only find them through the roleplay!

Auction!

Hello, and welcome, once again, to the Auction Block! Today we have the very first in a new line of pixel art eggs... An ancient dragon! Found high on a mountain on the farm, this egg is carefully nested in dried grass, and is warm to the touch! It appears to be suited mostly for adventurers, but would like any friendly home!

I appears to have a crack in it and will be likely be hatching soon. After careful studying we can tell you this much about the egg!

Stages: Four (Five with Roleplay) - Complexity: High
Species: Ancient Dragon - Gender: Undefined

Stage Details:
Egg; Just an egg. Warm and needs attention... It'll hatch soon! Make sure to name it or it can't evolve!
Infant; A brand new baby! It can move and is learning. It still gets into alot of trouble, and has two wings that are too small to use. It's scales are still soft, so be careful!
Adolecant; This dragon is alot bigger! It can talk, whistle locks off of doors, blow fire and read. Still incapeable of flight or large tasks with it's powers... Can run (some) with you on it's back. It's scales are harder now.
Adult; Fully grown! Your dragon can now fly... And carry you with it! It doesn't fit in your room anymore, but it has full control over it's abilities and it's scales are harder then any swords and it's flames are hotter then any mortal-made fires. It is now breeding age as well! A formidable ally!
Elder (ROLEPLAY ONLY); Considered greater then you, this dragon is massive and old. There isn't alot that would dare take on this dragon, and it is wise beyond mortal comprehension. It has gained the abliity to speak any language. Lucky you that you're it's friend!

That's right folks! To kick of my newest line of line art I'm having a little contest! (Heheh... Line of line art, get it?) This lovely little cheetah is all dressed up and waiting for someone to take it home... For free!

So it's quite simple. There's this little action called "Random Number"! Use your action to generate a number between one and one hundred. (That is, 1 and 100.) If your result is 3, 33, 9 or 99, you get this little egg!
If your result is between 1 and 10 (not including 3), or is 100, you get a basic-colored cheetah. Standard cheetah spots. Nothing fancy.

If you want to try for something nutsy, I'll give you a CUSTOM Angel Cheetah if you can get 500 on a random number generator of one through one thousand. (1 Through 1000.) That's a one in one thousandth chance of getting it though... Chances are high you would have to post one thousand times to get it.

So are you ready? Go!

Evolving Line Art

Buying Your Line Art

Buying your line art is much the same as buying the pixel art... So read those rules if you want to know how to buy.

Commisions:
Commisions are the biggest difference. Unless they are color change only, they are VERY difficult... Therefore they are open less often and are more expensive. Simple things (Example: Horns, different eyes, special scaling, jewlery) are less then whole body changes. I hand-draw this line art, and I don't own a scanner so getting it online is hard. PM me to negotiate a commission.

Breeding Information!

Welcome to the Breeding Page! Here is where (if you would like) you can breed your pets! There are a few rules that you will need to read if you would like to breed your animals. They're right here, and it won't take but a moment... So please go over them!

Ichi; Breeding is currently only between ADULT stage artwork. If your artwork is still in adolecence or is an elder it CANNOT be bred. If you aren't sure about if your artwork is at an appropriate stage, feel free to ask... Or just check to database!

Nii; Your artwork can only breed with like species! And to breed at ALL the "Breeding Classification" has to match. For instance, you can only breed dragons with other dragons. You can cross-breed minimally (Example; Wolf and Fox) but you may not get fertile offspring. For instance, every few unicorn/pegesus crosses will be sterile. Yours will have a little "F" in the corner during it's adult stage if it is a fertile offspring. All flatsale, auction, contest, special event, and most commission artwork is automatically fertile. Normally only bred animals can be sterile.
Line art may NOT breed with pixel art. Flat out. Not happening.
Later, there may be potions or charms that will change these things for a fee.

San; You can still breed if you only have one animal... But only if it is a female. We only have options for sireing your animal, not using our quality breeding females for you to raise a new baby of your choice. Sireing comes with an aditional fee (ussually about 500G, more for rare animals or animals with rare colorings), but you can choose your sire. We keep a database of male and female animals that are user owned if you want to hunt one down.

Yon; Cost depends on what you're breeding. Typical costs are 250G-5000G for pixel art, and 2000G-10000G for line art. The high ends are typically for things like breeding the aucton/raffle artwork or commissions. The first one or two eggs/infants go to the parents for the base fee. Additonal first-stage artwork can be purchased for a much smaller amount. (Example: a base fee of 5000G for the first pair ussually results in a 1000G for every additional first-stage.) Only litter-bearing animals can create more then one offspring. (I.E. a canine may have up to eight pups, but an equine can only have one, save for the VERY rare case of twins.)

Go; Breeding requires your pets be updated briefly so that they're here in the shop. Basically your pets will turn into an empty picture with a label of "BREEDING" stamped on them. For males this will last for a few days. Females it will last up to three weeks. During this time, I ask that you check in once in a while with a PM or a post or a profile comment or pop inot our roleplay! (In other words... Any sort of contact.) Otherwise your pet may grow upset with you!

Setting up a Breeding

This is simple. Both parents must send me a PM saying they would like to breed X with X. I will respond with a price. Then either (or both) parent(s) must set up a trade with the right amount of gold and I will change your pet's pictures and place images of them in the shop. For single-parent breeding, follow the same instructions, just ignoring the part about the second parent. You must specify a sire.

The database can be found HERE. Please read the database rules, they are very important!
