[Sugar Sprites]

Sugar Sprites is a new idea I have come up with for a breedable,changing, interest, etc. pet shop. This will also be my first pet shop so bear with me in the beginning, lol.

In a forest somewhere near Barton, the Queen of Sugar Sprites loves to disguise her-self as a widowed old lady. She pretends to stay at home all day cooking sugared treats. One day you happen to stray into the forest and meet her. If you are lucky enough she gives you a sampling of her treats! She warns you not to eat it for a couple of days...if you listen, and heed her word, she'll enchant the candy with the spirt of a sugar sprite!

[Sugar Sprites]

You happen to be taking a walk in just outside of Barton one day, when you see a path you haven't seen before. You decide to hike it to see where it goes, as the trail gets steeper and the path a little less traveled, you worry if perhaps you may be getting lost. Just as you turn to head back you see a small cottage to your right. Then your curiostiy gets the better of you and you go to take a closer look. A home out here? With a closer inspection, you see the keeper of the house has a large fondness for gardens. The rose bushes are wildly growing up the brick walls, beautiful large roses litter the yard in splotches of ruby red, pink, white, and even purple. As you get nearer, you lean in to take a big breath of rose scent, but before you can another small reaches your nose! It's warm, and smells of sweetness.

Chocolate...and cinnamon buns...and cookies too! There were soo many sweet smells you fail to notice your-self walking up to the door and without hesitation you lift your hand as if to knock...

What happens next is up to you! What you say or do determines what kind of candy you get...

General Rules
[x]Follow all ToS as provided by Gaia Interative
[x] No spamming, shop-plugging or flaming.
[x]When quoting others, please limit the number of boxes per post to three.
[x]Be considerate of others, as they would you. I'm not going to regulate the language here, there is an option in your profile to censor it. This does not mean that you should take advantage of this rule and curse up a storm.

Role Play Rules
[x] These pets require RP, but it is not mandatory. HOWEVER, if you do not RP your pet you can only get to stage 3. Stages 4 and 5 depened on how you RP.
[x] If you don't own a Sugar Sprite you may still RP prior to obtaining one.
[x] Do not open a journal to RP. If you must have one, let me know. I want to monitor all RP posts. Besides, I want all future journals to open in a guild.


Purchasing, Owning, and Ordering Rules
[x] Don't beg or try to bribe me or any colorists for a Sugar Sprite or you will be placed on the black list.
[x]If you do not RP prior to purchasing a Sugar Sprite, you will only be allowed to purchase a Sugar Sprite through the level zero or level X sales. So RP!
[x] Currently, there is a limit to one Sugar Sprite per person. This will change with time.
[x] Payments will be sent to this mule account. At this time you will only be able to pay in full with one payment only. However, letters and items will be accepted at mid value.

Appearance of Stages 4 and 5 Depend on how and if you RP them.

Candy
-A simple piece of your favorite kind of candy...This piece of candy seems to sparkle oddly like it's winking at you very sof often.

Sugar Sprout
-It's been a week since the old woman gave you a piece of candy. Your candy has done something weird! When you thought it was winking at you perhaps you were right. There's a tiny baby face in the candy! It doesn't have much hair...

Suglette
-It's been another week. Your candy has magicly become a little sugar sprite! In place of a little baby head there's a little tiny sugar sprite. It's hair has grown a little more and there are cute chubby fingers. They are afraid of larger animals (but they looove watching fish!), so if you have cats watch out! In this stage you start to develop a stronger bond. This is where you learn that those odd noises you have been hearing in your head- has actually been this little thing trying to lean how to talk. Use your mind to talk back!

Sweet Suglette
- It seems that to grow any more you've had to wait two weeks. It's been worth it though. The little preson grew some wings, and it seems you can communicate with it more accuratly. It's hard to hear their tiny high picthed voices unless they are hovering next to your ear. They float around with an air of teen-like superiourity. Watch out, they act like they know everything...

Sugar Sprites do not take well to other humans at first contact, and they shy away or hide completly. Very few of them are actually curious enough to say hello...and the ones who usually are...well let's just say no one has one like that yet....

Final
-It's been two to three weeks, but your little bon bon is finally fully grown. They glow and thier wings are bigger! They also like to go with you when you leave house- it's like an adventure to these little things! They also have the ablity to flit in and out of sight, don't let it give you a headache. If it gets depressed you better start looking for another sugar sprite. It seems they are egar to go out of the house back to the forest where you first got it, maybe you'll find others there...


Stages of Familiars
Familiars will have two or three stages. If you RP your pet taking care of their familiars they will grow faster. Pet pets will have thier own certs.

Small Candy
-Generally, most familiars are small candies. For example, tic-tacs and m&m's would be considered small. If you still are not sure, usually most familiars come from candies that would normally take about 6 or 7 candies to equal one bite. This stage lasts about a week to two weeks.

-Now if your familiar is a common, and it only has two stages, in the second stage it will be fully grown. Two stage familiars are generally cheaper, and easier to get.

MidStage
-This stage is pretty self explaintory. Takes another week, to a week and a half to mature.

Final Stage
-Your pet is fully grown. If you RPed well, your pet's fourth or fifth stage art will have the pet drawn in, rather than in the inventory.

No Gender Limitations
All children come from the Queen of Sugar Sprites. The Sugar Sprites small bodies lack the reproductive organs nessary to carry a fetus full term. The sprites can still undertake mating rituals, however all requests for children must be taken to the Queen.

What does the Queen do? It's pretty simple really. She takes a lock of hair from each parent, and bakes up a hearty batch of treats! Then she randomly choses a few and enchants them with the will to live.

Filling out the Form
If a pair of sprites wishes to breed they must fill out an application to breed and then await the following reply via Sprite mail. All breeding spites must be level 5, they do not have to be the same type of candy or flavor. Note: You do not decide how many children you will get, it's just to show the queen how many you desire. The Queen will not give you any more children then this number.

Getting the Letter of Acceptance
Upon recieving the letter, you find that you are given a shopping list aka scavenger hunt. You are also directed to go to the breeding grounds to look for the items to make your children. Also, it says with the items needed you are to send a cheque or money order.

Sending the Money
The Queen has to take time out of her orderly scheduale to help you obtain your sugary delights. Thus she asks for a contrubution. It is up to you to decide how you are going to split the payment.

Currently the amount required for breeding is undecided.

Store Grand Opening Currently Projected @ December 1st

Sugar Sprites will be sold via flat sales, auction, and special events. There will not be any customs available until a little later.

There is a special system involved in all flat sales at Sugar Sprites. It's called Sprite Points (SP.) There are 3 you can earn, and to earn SP you must role play. You get your very first SP with your first or second RP post. Your second SP you get once your companion reaches it's third stage. The third SP you get after your compainon reaches it's final stage and sucessfuly has begun to RP in a breeding thread. A fourth SP point may be attainable, but currently it is undiscovered.

SP Points allow you to participate in certain flat sales. There are tiers or levels that you gain access to with each SP point.

Entry Level X- Anyone with or without SP points may enter. These will be auctions, events, raffles, etc.

Entry Level 0- Any new entering player may attend this flat sale. After you have attained one SP point you may no longer enter these flat sales, however these sales do not occour very often.

Entry Level 1- Any player with one or two SP points may enter. These may be speed or promt sales.

Entry Level 2- Any player with two or higher may enter. These may be speed or promt sales.

Entry Level 3- Players with three SP points only. Generally these will be promt sales.

Pet Pet Stage Modifiers Coming Soon



Lotus Blossom|Unlimited-Upon the consumption of this flower's delicate petals your Sugar Sprite's body will fall into a state of hibernation. The spite doesn't fall asleep, but the body stops growing. Freeses Body Growth at the current stage.



Water Lily|Unlimited- The water lily's petals wil return your sprite to her normal growing pattern if she has consumed part the lotus blossom. Unfreezes; Returns the body to t's normal growing state.

Empty Fish Bowl|Unlimited-You can not buy one of these until your SS is at least stage four. What's it for? Fish of course! Sugar Fish! ...... That's right there will be pet pets....Fish sold seperatly

Mysterious Bell|1 In Stock-These are pretty rare and don't show up very often.What will it do? I don't know I haven't ever sold one before!


Swirl Bottle|1 In Stock-There seems to be some sort of powder in the bottom of the bottle. There's not much there, it doesn't seem like it's worth the price. These are pretty rare and don't show up very often.What will it do? I don't know I haven't ever sold one before!

Dress Mr SnowMan
All you have to do is dress Mr. Snowman. You can use any image editing software, or even print it out. You can paint over him, or redraw him*, you can even pixel him. I don't care! Just give him clothes, his snowballs are freezing!

*-you can and are allowed to change his face.

Holiday Caroling
This is the second event. It is open to everyone, since no one owns any pets yet, lol. Basicly it's a bumping contest, but all the bumps will be lyrics to a holday song. The first post will be made by Sugar Sprites. There after you will post each line to the song in a different post. Example:

Next Poster: Jingle all the way

Rules and Stuff
1| Each line of lyrics is one point.
2| You must be the first person to post the next line of lyrics to get the point.
3| Person with the most posts by December 31 is the winner.
4| I will tally the points up as often as possible.
5| If a song ends, Sugar Sprites will try to post a new song, but if she is not here you can start up the next song. The first line of lyrics does not grant a point, no matter who posts and when. You must post the name of the song, the artist and the first line of lyrics in the fist post, also site or url with the exact lyrics that you are following so that everyone can follow along should be posted too. The text should be bold and blue.
7| Lyric posts MUST be in green or red and in italics for it to count. It does not have to be bold.
8| It's up to me to give or not give the point if it does not follow any of these rules.

Holiday Cookies!

Four holiday themed sugar cookies will be for auction and raffle. They will be minimum of three stage pets, as they depend on roleplay for the final stages, if any. Possible cookies may include: Gingerbread boy and girl, and an assortment of sugar cookies: angel, snowflake, snowman, holly, Christmas Tree, Dreidel, star, teddy bear, stocking, bell, candle, wreath, Ruldolph, and santa. Post any other suggestions in the thread. However they will not count towards the item contest below.



Anyone who offers event ideas, or offers to help with future events (or this event?) will either get a pet discounted, or get one for free. I'm not entirly sure........it's up to my colorists.

Item Idea Contest-If anyone has any suggestions for items, post them here in the thread. Remember that sugar sprites are like pixies and faries. They are sprites, and do not normally get any bigger then the span of an adult human male hand. This is just a simple contest and currently ahs no deadline.

Prizes-People who's items are sucessfully used will recieve a gift certificate of 1000g off thier next purchase here. (Because right now I have nothing else to give, lol.)
