Welcome to our lovely little RP contest. XD If you don't know what SoA is, click the link above and be learned, my friend. For the rest of you: tread carefully and don't feed the creators.

Rules:

1. Normal ToS applies.
2. Doesn't matter how many pets you have, you may enter all the same. Zero, one or one hundred.
3. The cub will be living within the pride and with her family -at least- until adulthood. So if you thought you could make her leave, you've come to the wrong contest. XD
4. Sig-candy seekers beware: this cub is expected to be RPed. Do NOT enter if you have no intention of using her after this contest.
5. If you're one to complain about losing, don't enter. Why? Because I don't want to hear it.
6. This contest is based on skill AND creativity.
7. Please don't edit your posts.
8. Pity parties and guilt trips and unwelcome and unkind. Do not use them.
9. You may combine entries, if you like. It won't affect your odds of winning.
10. Doesn't matter how long you make it.
11. We would like people who don't have a pride member to enter, please.

The ones who seek.

"One family lost the home they had fallen in love with, set adrift once more. They traveled down the coast, seeking a new home...and they met a juvenile lioness who'd gotten her first glimpse of the sea. It was an accident that they bonded, and that the juvenile had met one of the lions before.
One thing led to another, and they settled in that area where they met. But they were not bound. For each member of this strange new family loved to learn about things. And to learn, one had to go beyond the borders of their little pride..."

Basically, this is a pride of nomads. They settle in this area and live together either forever, or until they're ready to roam once more. It is a peaceful, loving land comprised of members who have either lost a home, never had one, or are still searching for their perfect place.

The Family:

Kamaria: Having had a very close relationship with her mother, Kamaria plans to devote as much love and attention on her own cubs. After enduring many trials, Kamaria has finally found her life coming together. She is entirely in love with her mate, Jethro and has been eager for cubs. The cubs will be spoiled with love.

Jethro: Jethro is a fun-loving lion who's always looking for the next great adventure. He vastly enjoys exploring, whether it be by himself or, much preferably, in the company of good friends. As far as he’s concerned, the depths of a new cave beats any sunning rock or nap-granted dream out there. He's a fantastic hunter and also hopes to be an equally good father for his children. The male plans to be a big part of their lives.

Cub one: -Info coming soon-

Kanzi: Sister to the cub in question. She's extremely affectionate and happy to play with her family. Intelligent and down to earth, she's more fond of practical games than those that require day-dreaming. She likes to practice hunting, hoping to one day be as good as her father.

Omoa: Omoa is a very friendly little girl. She loves to explore, as she has been doing so most of her short life, and enjoys meeting and making new friends. She is friendly, outgoing, and unafraid to get close to someone. Omoa can talk your ear off sometimes, and will gladly do it. She has no memory of her parents except for one: seeing her mother, hearing the lioness say "Omoa," before her eyes closed and she woke up again, alone. Omoa does not miss what she never had, and sees things in life in a very logical but deep fashion. She enjoys pouncing in mud and water puddles, climbing, and swimming. She will most likely be a big part in the cubs' lives, growing up. She has no plans on ever leaving her family while she is still young herself. She was adopted by Jethro when she was a cub.

Senatla (Aunt - Mother's side): Lost to the roguelands as a cub, Sen was found by Kamaria and almost immediately clicked. No matter who came into or out of their lives, they had each other. It went from seeing Kam as an older sister figure, to becoming true sisters to each other. When one wasn't accepted, there was no thought, she went where her sister went, a place to be home as the family they had been. A mother already, Sen is patient and loving with cubs, she will treat Kam's just like they were her biological nieces and nephew, and the same as her own cubs.

Sewelo (cousin): Throughout his life, his mother and his Aunt have been the constants and he loves them both very much. He is also in a world of black and white, once he is told something by someone he respects, its the truth and there is no way to shake it. He speaks with complete conviction. He'll be protective and look after his cousins as much like a big brother as any distant cousin.

Hamsa (Kamaria's mother, Goddess of the Senses): It is not currently known that Hamsa is Kamaria's mother, but it will be discovered in the future!

Prompt One:
Your father is an excellent hunter and your sister is aspiring to be just the same. But what are your views on the matter? Do you like to play hunt with your siblings? Are you any good at it? Describe an experience.

Prompt Two:
Omoa is your adopted sister. She's been with you since you were born, but she's still not technically blood. Jethro and Kamaria, your parents, have just told you this. Describe how you're feeling about the news.

Prompt Three: Growing up, you and your siblings have heard many wondrous stories of the various Gods that look over the savannah. Each story holds a great deal of importance to your mother and you quickly learn of your mother's unquelched curiosity towards them. Over time, it will be found out that Kamaria's mother is the Goddess of the senses. Is your cub the one to find out first? What does she think? Does she tell her mother or enjoy her grandmother's company on her own?

Cub Name: Kainda
Name Meaning Daughter of the hunter
Personality: Determined, she feels she can do anything she sets her mind to. She has a strong will which may be difficult to make her free spirit fall in line. She would rather be out exporing and playing that listening to duty, chores, and learning.
Prompt Choice:Prompt Two:
Omoa is your adopted sister. She's been with you since you were born, but she's still not technically blood. Jethro and Kamaria, your parents, have just told you this. Describe how you're feeling about the news.

Response:
Kainda had listened quietly to her parents as they had told her the truth. Inside her stomach fell, as if she had swallowed a bolder. She furrowed her brow and looked between the both of them, she was confused and so angry. Why did they tell her this now, why had they waited so long and let her believe a lie? She shook her head back and forth and kneeded her gray paws against the ground. "no... NO." she said. Her eyes welled with tears and she began to doubt many other things. What was truth now? If Omoa wasnt really her sister, was she even part of this family? Had she been found lost and alone too?

No that was foolish to believe, she had known them since her birth. Their scent, their voices. She looked between the two, she was spotted like her mother but with a dark coat like her father. No she was theirs, she had to be. She couldnt be anything else. Reflecting back she thought of how Omoa looked. She did look quite different than she did. "Why did you lie to me.. and let me believe that?" she asked them. There had to be a good reason, they wouldn't have done such a thing on purpose would they?

Kainda hung her head and looked at her paws, with a shake of her head she looked up at them. Tears stung her eyes, "It doesnt matter.. Blood doesnt matter. She is still my sister and she is as close as family to me. " she said, if they didnt want her to be called sister anymore she didnt care. She was so close to Omoa, she had always been there. She wouldnt abandon their bond because she wasnt blood. Omoa was as close to her as Kanzi if not closer. "She will always be my sister in my eyes."
