Hello and welcome! This is the first ever Theluji-Mkazi pridal plot contest! This plot will effect all members of the pride, and is open to SoA newbies, SoA oldbies, pridal newbies, and pridal oldbies! In other words...everyone! Given they abide by the rules and play fair, etc.!

The Story
A time of great famine and bitter winters has at long last ended. The whisperings of the gods being angry with the pride's new queen have mostly faded, and the pride is returning to its normal routine. The hunters have scoured the reawakening basin of the valley and begun supplying the lions with fresh meat--other lions, those trained to storing meat, have thawed out what remains to supplement the pride until more animals can be hunted.

As is the way of things, the long cold winter's confinement of the pride has resulted in many new young lives in the mountain valley. Older members of the pride have begun to look to their new young queen, expectant of her producing the next heiress. As of yet the spirits seem to withold that blessing from her, but perhaps time will tell. For now, the land is at peace.

...But what many of the pride do not know is that the queen has her own agenda. It is one meant for the good of them all, certainly, but it is kept secret even from their king. Her own personal fleet has been dispatched from the pride to recruit fresh blood; adult lions with no other place to be, cubs snatched as they wandered unwittingly from their dens...Many such scouts have returned with a few new faces. The religion of the pride claims that these new members have been directly crafted from the valley's snow by the gods. They have been well accepted into the fold, and begun to show their value. All but one small group, that is.

The last of the scouts to return brought with her a rather large group to the mountain. One in particular among them seemed to become very rapidly aware of the pride's law and state of mind. Cunning and angry (at what no one knew) she has begun befriending natives to the pride...and has begun what will be revealed to be an underground bid for the throne; placing herself in the queen's place, and her massive, if somewhat unwitting lover in the king's.

1. All complaints should be PM'd to me. If you're caught whining/complaining in-thread, there will be consequences.
2. Don't try to make others feel bad for entering/winning/competing.
3. Follow all Gaia rules.
4. You may enter for as many as you qualify for.
5. However, you can only win ONE.
6. Grammar and spelling are counted, to an extent.
7. There is no word limit. Likewise, there is no minimum.
8. The SoA may never leave the pride.
9. By applying for a character you understand that they may die as part of this event!
10. There will be RP involved in this plot, so do not apply if you're looking for sig candy.
11. Editing is allowed, until the contest closes.

The green lady here is the potential usurper. We know she's sly and cunning, and she has a backstory and a motive to want to take over this pride. She's managed to gather several followers to her cause both from before joining the Theluji and after. One of those is the male visible behind her--he is Mlipuko'Bega, her bodyguard/lover. He is not being contested, but he IS sexy.

This lovely lass is an original member of the Theluji. A childhood friend of the queen, the pair grew up together. When her friend became the pride's ruler, this girl was taken aside along with several others and inducted into the queen's secret forces. She is a Wazamaji, and one of the few given free reign to come and go from the pride at will. She is the one who returned with this large group of strangers, including the Usurper.

-The pride must never know about this character's rank as Wazamaji. The ritual of recruiting new pride members is unknown to the commoners of the pride.

[b]Prompt[/b]: Rumor has spread that one of the lions you've recruited was found snooping in Isolde's den! They got away without being seen well enough to be identified, but you think you know who it was. What do you do? If you confront them, how do you do it so that no one knows you recruited them, and without jeopardizing your rank?

Both these two are new to the pride. Their stories and reasons for joining this isolated group are unknown. If they are just looking for a new start, or will serve as minions to the Usurper is up to you!

-No mules, no proxies.
-These SoA do not have to know each other at all, but you may decide they do if you like.

These hot boys are more than eager to join the Theluji! Exactly why is up to you, but as the pride has seen, they've taken to their new homes like ducks to water. They're both friendly and open, and have made many friends in the pride already. They seem nigh-inseparable, but perhaps that is just because of yet they still know each other best. They are not suspected to be in league with the Usurper, but they are still watched closely, having appeared from the snow with her group.

-The cheetah available here belongs to me, ShinosBee. I am REHOMING him, as I do not have time to play him. He will belong 100% to whomever wins him. I will retain no rights over him, aside from those stipulated by this metaplot (keeping him in the pride, potentially dying, etc.)

There's something strange about this gal, something not quite right in the head. The thing is, she's a hybrid. And a LOUD one. The Loner isn't alone because she's standoffish, oh no. She's alone because she never stops yapping. She's got more energy than you can shake a stick at, and an ear for gossip to boot. She seems genuinely friendly, but is thought of as a pawn for the Usurper because of her constant prattling about how nice the Usurper and her lover are.

-This girl is a leotah; half cheetah, half leopard. She is INFERTILE. I am rehoming her because I do not have time to play her. She will be 100% the property of whomever wins her.

You try your best to make friends, but they don't seem interested, no matter how friendly (aka loud) you try to be! Saddened, you slink back to the Usurper. She always seems to listen. What do you two talk about? Does she encourage you?

This contest is easy enough. The leopardess above will be raffled off to whomever advertises this the longest! Of course, like the rest she will have her part to play, and the winner must decided if she's with the queen, Isolde, or the Usurper.
