I liked that movie, but hated the ending. I can't stand when they end a movie right in the middle of something... it just doesn't feel like it's over. It's just like LOTR 1.

I saw the movie, but still have yet to read the books. haven't been able to get a copy from the library :/

If you guys are into boooks with polar bears I suggest a book called On Thin Ice. It's less fantasy, but touches on the culture and beliefs of the Inuit people. It's really good smile

Why? What's wrong with golden compass? Is it like when the Harry Potter books were coming ou and parents freaked out about their kids reading books with wizards and witches in them?
I was never allowed to read them, and now I'm so far behind I haven't bothered to get he new ones. I just wait for the movies.
