I'm sure that you probably don't want much of a job right now period during this time in life. Plenty of time for work later.

I'm not getting a job atleast until finish school. Well, that is my plan...

That is usually a good plan. I know over here most will get part time jobs in the last year or two of high school.

A lot of people in my year already have jobs. (year 10)

Do people get jobs there just for summer, since you have really long holidays then, don't you?

Yup, people will get summer jobs for the summer break most schools will have. Through there are some that go year round, with the tie off intere mixed instead of having the long summer break. Since most people aren't farming families anymore to need such time off.

*nods* Here the longest we have is six weeks at Christmas, which is noto long enough for a job. And with me having been doing four or so hours of homework lately, I don't think I'll be getting one any time soon...

Ah...generally the most that is had around Christmas is two, maybe three weeks. Though that depends on the school. Though usually only university that has closer to the three weeks. Which some still will work over that time, usually with whom ever they had a job with during the summer. Granted, some will work even the one week spring breaks we get, or over the 4 day fall breaks that are had as well.

I do some babysitting though, which could kind of count as a job.

True, it is a bit of one. just a little more flexible and not always as steady. That and you don't have to worry about taxes and all that stuff. biggrin

Though at the moment I'm babysitting for free for my service section of my DoE award. 3nodding

Ah....Though still a purpose and reward in the end, even if not the monetary sort of reward.

*realises Tasah probably has no idea what she is talking about* The Duke of Edinburugh award...I have no idea how to spell that...Yeah. You have to do Physical recreation, Service, Skill and a expedition to get it. Yeah...

~giggles~ Nope, I hadn't really. But I had figured it was similiar to things we have over here. President's achievement award, Merit badges for Boy/Girl scouts, etc. We have tons of various organizations and things one can join or strive for.
