My favourite D&D/roleplay characters I have are all drow females.
I think in "evil" better if I associate it with the drow-type subterfuge.

What makes them interesting is that they are so cunningly evil. They can't get caught doing anything within their society so it's all behind the scenes. I think that makes them more evil than the outright violent races.

*nods* I think it would be benefitial for there to be a centrally-located and revised "breed information" thread - have someone with the time go through and work in the information - enough to be clear and different without making every member of that race feel like they have to be a carbon copy of a specific stereotype.

It would also be neat to have various aspects of the soquili physiology in general canonized that arent' specified, but that might be tough to work out with the shop having been open for nearly 4 years now and people having been playing around things for a long time. Like, soquili obviously don't give birth to baskets; I think it says somewhere that the Kawani weave them, and I think it makes a lot of sense that most soquili are born premature because of the large "litter" size of soquili compared to real world horses - and the baskets kind of magically bond with the foals - picking up their coloration and sustaining them until they're old enough to emerge.

I think that people are more conscious of edited vs unedited when it comes to breeding? I've seen a fair number of posts in the plot sub-forum and lover's rock that goes "Would like someone with at least edited hair".

I wish for more detailed race info too. Angeni especially. It implies Angeni have abilities and I was told in the original days that all Angeni had to come with a domain and they have abilities pertaining to that domain, but lately it says that they don't have that anymore. But I don't know if that's true or not? If so, why would it be removed? I do know that pure angenis can only reach the heavens and I think only pures can turn human but I'm really curious about the whole domain/ability issue.

Meeki: That's it exactly for me. I find that the more a character has to think about what they're doing and the concequences of it than the more fun it is to risk it and the more exhilirating it is to get away with it. "Wholesale mass-slaughter", to quote someone else, is fun for awhile... But then it just gets boring.

EDIT: I'm heading back to the family scene now, but as a parting comment: I am so glad that King made those new hairstyles, as it means that my Juneau custom concept can now be completely unedited. Flowy curls ftw.

I agree about the breeding thing. I think it's the ordeal of being disappointed when out of 2/3 baskets you get the one without edits. Edits are something special and unique. Like out of Marius' and Neve's first breeding, Belial was the only one with edits, but DAMN Maharet's coloring was amazing. She was my first pick basket and even Say knows to this day I adore Maharet very much.

I also wonder if anyone has actually RP'd out the issue of the Angeni able to take human form (and like you said - pure only? I dunno!)

And there's backtracking and contradictory info, like on the cosplay kalona section which both says they can and can't have powers.

*tends to favor colors over edits* Course I do tend to get my customs with edits, because I figure why not, but with baskets/picking mates I'm a sucker for the colors and plot. XD
