Wrath wrinkled his nose as he caught his daughter's scent coming from the nearby woods. He knew this day would eventually come, when he'd have to talk to his 'little ones' on an even, mature level but he wasn't sure what to do or say. They were free to form their own opinions without the direct influence of others, especially their father. Would he still matter to them like he did when they were little? They had grown up afterall.

The large stallion wandered into the woods until he came upon his daughter and a deer she had killed. He stood there for a moment before approaching her, "You've always had a knack for hunting," he commented rather awkwardly.

Anevay moved to converse with Hex, who had been watching the exchange with Vex in a quiet contemplation. She chuckled, but not kindly.
"It is ridiculous that so many young ones don't seem to understand the first thing about fighting and hunting," she said with some contempt, her eyes glittering dangerously as she focused on Hex.

"Perhaps they know, but they simply seek council like so many foals you have talked to," Hex ventured with some tact. "You are very wise, Anevay. Others have heard from you by word of mouth. It is better to seek knowledge than to get one's self killed."

The mare grunted in reply. "Perhaps they should be killed by their own lack of knowledge. It should be instinctive in how to fight."

He shrugged slightly "It's up to others to prove it, yes, but if you don't think you are the most attractive thing to grace this earth you'll never outwardly look it." with a nod he strolled alongside the female, glad to be moving again. It might not be the usual wild prowl-gallop-fly-gallop sequence he was used to, it was motion and therefore, it was good. He held his tail in an arc behind him, head high and walked with an arrogance in his step usually found only in human show steeds, always aiming to emphasise his size, a habit he'd kept since he was a foal.

"My siblings?" he wrinkled his nose. He cared for them insofar as any brother would. "I have two sisters, Vexation and Fury. They have mother's horns but definate hints of father." he looked deeply dissaproving. "His foul mouth for one." he ruffled his wings irritably "I don't know what either of them have been doing with themselves though, it has been quite some time since I saw one or the other. What about yourself? Do you have the joy of being one of several children?" he rolled his eyes.

"Dad," Vexation said, relieved to hear her father's voice. "Dad, I'm confused." She shook her head, trying to knock some sense into it. "I... it doesn't make sense to me that all Soquili who aren't Kalona aren't intelligent, that they can't think. #$&$, it doesn't make sense that they can't be evil. Am I... wrong? Am I wrong for thinking that maybe this talk of lessers isn't completely right?" Would he push her away, disown her for thinking that way? She was almost afraid to discover the answer. "Thank you," she said, remembering his compliment.
She grinned as he spoke of her sisters, and imagined the little rascals swearing as much as Wrath did. "Actually yes, I have two brothers but, for all I know they are disgraces as well." she put her gaze on Incubus, and almost grinned alluringly. "You would kill them, instantly, as I would as well. I haven't had the luck of finding them, yet." She figured he would understand that if she needed to go out of her way to kill them, that they were most likely very weak and pathetic.

She looked ahead of them to see more forest, and she sighed angerly. "Where exactly were you going earlier? There is like, nothing in these woods." How annoying, to be roaming around such an ugly area.

Maybe Loveless enjoyed causing a fuss more, and making herself visible in the sky, since she always loved watching lessers run away from her dark figure.

It was strange though, to still be talking to the stallion after all this time. Loveless didn't enjoy socializing very much, but she figured it was alright at the moment, since Incubus wasn't that much of an idiot. "Ah well, I forgot what I was doing today, anyways." she muttered, while snorting at the ground.

Hex frowned at Anevay's words.
"But Anevay, I mean no disrespect," he said, giving a bow to indicate that he truly was not trying to go against her. "Surely you were not born with a fully intact strategy. Experience only builds on instincts."

The gemstone mare narrowed her eyes and turned away from Hex, his comments having some truth, but not changing her full feelings. "The want to kill has to be there. The base for hunting has to be there. I cannot teach the will to fight and hunt without a base."

"But I don't believe that was the young mare's feeling. Clearly the base is there."

The mare paused, then flicked her ears forward. "I suppose we'll see."

Wrath arched a brow at the words that flooded forth from his daughter. A part of him softened up because he felt like he was still needed. Still had some meaning to her life. Perhaps he was a fool but he didn't want to lose touch of them now that he had finally come to appreciate them.

"What makes one race different from another? The amount of horns they may or may not have? The shape of their tail? The type of wings they have or what they look like? Is that what truly shapes one into being greater or lesser? No, Vexation, it's not. The reality is that they are not that different from us at all." He wasn't sure how these words would affect his daughter but he couldn't seem to stop now that he had started.

"Do not listen to what others say. Each race has their beliefs. Each race shares their stories of what is the right way, what is wrong. Who are your enemies and who are your friends. The truth is broader than that, Vex. The truth is that any living creature is capable of surprising you. Any living creature is capable of being good or evil and it has nothing to do with their race. Any living creature can be greater or lesser to another."

Wrath stomped around at the ground, "Are there lessers? Yes. Are they all around you? Surely. Are they defined by any race? No. A kalona could be your lesser and a regular could be your greater. What really matters is who they are, what they are capable of and how far they are willing to go for what they want. Do not underestimate because of race. Do not overestimate because of race. Look at them as individuals, Vex, because that is what they are. Be true to who you are. Whether you are a bloodthirsty beast, a seductive demon or even if a butterflies and @#!@! kittens kind of mare, as long as you have no doubts when faced with adversity, as long as in the end, you stick to what you believe in, then you are better than anyone around you. Weakness defines who is greater or lesser. Never be weak. Never doubt. Never question. Be Vexation and don't let anyone change that."

Incubus gave her a sidelong glance, apparently only just being hit by the worry of what would happen if either of his sisters ended up being classed as "weak", he had no qualms over massacring lessers and other animals, but Kalona and family? The brief hesitation in him made him panic that he too could be considered weak for it and he shut down on that thought and considered it no longer. Instead he smirked approvingly. "If I have the misfortune of meeting either, I'll dispose of them for you gladly." he tossed his mane out of his eyes and eyed the forest accusingly.

"I was..following a raven." he frowned, still not sure if other soquili could see the raven at all or wether it was in his head. "I'd never been here before. Was hoping there'd be mares. Or just idiots." he snarled at the empty forest. "Or anything at all. It's dead here, and that's without my help." He snorted. "Maybe there were others but we scared them off unwittingly. Cowards are like that."

Inc himself rarely socialised without ulterior motives, it was a refreshing change to just chat without having to constantly think about how he'd seduce and slaughter the other. "Have you seen prey at all since you got here?"

"It is amusing that you are unfamiliar and uninterested with this area as well- at least there are no other distractions though, right?" Ah well, she looked at the sulky forest and sighed, shaking her head. How humorous, for her to be stuck in such a position, and especially with a male! It was all too odd for her, she would have to punish herself later for spending so much leisure time out and about.

She was glad though, the he would happily kill her brothers. They needed to be killed, especially since they were disgraceful in their names. She would get angry if he felt sorry for them or something, so she was relieved that she didn't need to dwell on it more.

"I haven't seen many prey around here, its a pity for us! This is a nice hiding area I supposed, but I would doubt that you and I would ever hide from anything." With a quick smirk, she bite into her lip, imagining the days when she would hide around as a filly. Thankfully though, those days were long over.

"You were the first thing I noticed, not only were you loud, but you were bright and powerful even from the sky." Sadly, she didn't mean for that to turn into a compliment, and she figured he would bask in the words. "I was merely observing as I normally do, I prefer the sky in such cases."
