A Nightmare is a demon that has been created from someone's fears. They have 3 stages, starting with the fear itself and evolving into a terrifing demon. They are RPable, but not required. However, as with most pets, they will evolve faster if RPed. They can be created from any fear or phobia, whether it is common, abnormal, or even funny. Through enteracting with your Nightmare (and thus, your fear) you or your character will slowly learn to accept and get over your fear, until the demon is no longer evil, but a friend and companion.

[!]The first stage is the 'Fear' stage. In this stage they are merely the fear that they represent, and usually just look like a cloud of smoke, with a distinctive trait. Nightmares are RPable in this stage, but they do not have bodies yet. They are like spirits, you can communicate with them, and they can manipulate and possess things.

[!]The second stage is the 'Terror' stage. In this stage the Fear has developed and formed a weak body. Depending upon the form of the future demon, the little Terror may look like a child, or some kind of small animal, though this is not true for ALL. They will have some disturbing traits based on the phobia they represent. For your fear to evolve to this stage, you must RP them at least 3 times in your journal. (Moderately lengthed 1 or 2 paragraph posts at least)

[!]The third and last stage is the 'Demon' stage. At this point your nightmare has fully developed into a terrifying demonic being. The demon has alot of the same characteristics of the Terror stage, but is bigger and more frightening. Each Demon is very different. For them to evolve to this stage from a terror, you must RP them at least 10 times. (10 moderately lengthed paragraph posts)

-Semi-Customs: You tell me the fear you'd like, and a basic idea for the apperance, but I get to have artist freedom. Note: No complaining if it's not what you wanted. If you want it to look exactly as you want, then get a full custum.
-Customs: You pick the nightmare and how it looks, down to the smallest details. Note, if it is a common phobia it might be reused, but the art will still be unique.

[!] Why do your customs cost so much more then the flat price?
-Because these pets are all different, meaning I take the time to draw AND color each one. With the flat sales you see what you get, and there is no compromising. But I try my best to make the customs exactly like you want, which is alot harder. Which is why I charge more.
[!] May I use items to pay for nightmares, not just pure gold?
-Yes, but ONLY if I approve them before hand. But I prefer gold.

-Not right now, sorry.

- No, but you're more then welcome to if you want!
[!] How long does it take for them to change stages?
- It varys I suppose. I'm going to try to keep it at about 1-2 weeks. If your Nightmare hasnt changed in 2 weeks pm me and I'll change it. *ish very forgetful*

- Not really, though some have obvious female or male traits.

- No. But you can however change them into a Hope!

- 'Types' are whether the Nightmare looks like a girl, boy, or an animal of some kind.

Nightmares do not breed like most breedables. There is not a pairing, or anything like the such.. (Though Nightmares can be fond of eachother, and have 'relationships') However... They can evolve and create a new being. In a way this is similar to creating a baby. But what could a Nightmare create..?

After the Nightare evolves into it's demon stage it starts to change, getting more and more tamed by their humans. Once a Nightmare has grown to level 10, it is considered that the demon has now been mastered. It is ready to create it's counterpart- Hope. A Hope is a completely new and different pet. They are similar in appearance to it's Nightmare parent, but they are not freaky nor scary. They are very beautiful, in fact. They will look the opposite of the Nightmare it was born from.

-No. A little symbol will be added to the cert to show it's been mastered, but that's it.

Yes, Nightmares are a roleplay pet. You have to roleplay your Nightmare for it to evolve and gain levels. Check the 'Stages' post for exact requirements.

[!] How much roleplaying is worth one level?
-It is different for everyone. It could be 1 or 2 posts per level. If you write small posts, then it will be more. Or, you could get more then one level per post if it is very long, creative, and detailed.
[!] How do I roleplay Nightmares?
-Again, it is up to you. You can check the RP Guild for rules and guidelines.
[!] If you are not good at playing things by yourself, you can ask someone else to play with you, have your nightmare enteract with their's.
[!] OR, if you would rather, I will play your Nightmare for you. PM me if you are interested in this. Please note, I will play the Nightmare how I see it, and how it's name and apperance describes it. Don't complain if I don't do it exactly as you want. And I will not be doing all the roleplaying for you. I will only be one half- reactions, setting, etc...

Nightmares, like most evil entities, are very greedy! If their human gives them gifts or offerings, it is very likely that the Nightmare will come to respect the human easier. Meaning they gain levels easier.
