Sky Flier hummed a tune that was playing in his head, half-tempted to beginning dancing again just to be doing something. However, a sharp glare from his daughter quickly stilled his tapping foot, though the humming continued.
After glaring at her father, Cloudy returned her attention to Alice. "That's true!" she said, eyes suddenly lighting up with excitement. "I can't wait to go out exploring again." She pulled back slightly. "But first I have my feathers to raise."
Briar blinked at the term. Protective. Nalikai seemed rather forceful in trying to get Kechara to interact with others instead of allowing her to overcome her fear gradually. Thrusting Kechara into such a large group of people would only farther her fears, was Briar's thinking.
Ryuune smiled at Mysidia and licked her nose, "Indeed. What ssay we go find ssomething to eat? I'm ssure everyone will be getting hungry ssoon." He suggested. He glanced at the others, "Would you like otherss to come with uss? Or jusst the two of uss?" He asked softly, grinning a bit.
Nalikai shrugged and looked back at Kechara, "If it gets too bad," He told her, "Just fly away, use those wings, love." He stood and walked away, flashing a grin at Ryuune as he passed, "I'll be back soon enough, there's someone I want to go see." He trotted off into the forest.
Kechara blinked and fluttered her wings. "Oh....yes...." She flushed, how could she have forgotten? She blinked again as Skan climbed up onto her head, "A strange one, eh, lassie?" He commented, clinging to her head.
"He's helpful though," She told him, half-cross-eyed as she looked up, "Despite what he does." She glanced at the others, her tail flopping nervously "Um....sorry, I guess? Nalikai is......" She nibbled a paw thoughtfully, "I don't know, actually."
Alice shivered slightly at the thought of raising feathers.
"I think I am more suited to combat & questing than I would be at trying to raise young." A laugh from her feet accompanied Cheshire's
"Got that right!" Neither saw Piper's ear twitch overhearing her statement, nor the crestfallen slump of his shoulders as he inwardly admitted that he too was probably unfit to ever raise young, his gaze & good paw resting on the paw that was heavily bound.
But Mysidia did & she chirped sadly before answering Ryuune.
"Alone or kweh with others, so long as we're together."
Piper was nodding thoughtfully to the rainbow kura's words, his thoughts only half there.
"We all are what we are. It's what we do with it that matters. Nalikai cares for you, that is apparent. It says a lot for him."
"Maybe we kweh should ask the others? See kweh which want to go & which would rather kweh stay?"
