Welcome to Gaia! ::

Hey Cheezie!^^

Yeah, if I had a shop, I'd want to finish everything before I had the first FS... But then again, I'm a bit of a perfectionist >.>

I PRESENT: THÆR!!

I'm VERY, VERY pleased with this. I think I'm going to paint up the banners and everything with this program.
Ooooh! 8 different countries! Does that mean there will be 8 different species of Dizee or just 8 different places to travel to?
Well, some species are exclusive to some continents, while others are found on many of them. So that does not mean there will be 8 species. : )
Ahh ok, that makes more sense^^

Oooh, I like the banner^^ I said this before, but I like the whole earthy colour scheme of the shop. There's something inviting about it
I like earthy. :B

I'm glad you like it too.
lol I like that picture that you did for FSs with the giant dustball and people fighting over the pets
Hehe!! Thanks!

I wasn't sure how to describe a flatsale other than a free-for-all. I think that's my favorite picture out of all the little illustrations I made for the "How to Adopt" post. Does the whole post look okay?
Mmm... How does it look if you try using imgright tags instead of center alignment? It might make the post look a little more compact
Ohhhhhhhhhh. It looks GREAT on my computer, considering I use a widescreen laptop.
Yeah, it looks good on my computer too and I just have a normal monitor^^

It's great to see this shop slowly building! Seems like the first FS will be here in no time at all! =]
Oh, fantastic! I always wonder how different my shops look to people with different screen resolutions. sweatdrop

: ) I'm happy I have a few people in here to watch it grow. I've never had the thread open like this before in any of my past shops, so I've never had anyone help make adjustments as the front page was being put together. Also, in most of my shops I usually pixel/paint everything before even considering claiming posts. rolleyes So to me, this is taking forever. BUT I really like how it's turning out so far.

I wonder how many subscribers this thread has?? If it's just us few, or if there are lurkers watching from the shadows.. >____>
Ah.. Well, I still have 10 banners and several little graphics to make, but I think I'm going to call it a day. er.. morning, I guess. It's 12:30 am here now. @___@;;

Tomorrow I will have some more time to work on it, but from about 2pm-12am I'll be visiting a friend of mine who is returning from a year-long exchange to Japan! I am very excited to see her after so long. We've kept in contact through facebook, and through Skype, but it's totally different now that she's going to be back. heart 4laugh So I'm happy to see her again.

WELL: Goodnight/morning/whatever. Today had a LOT of progress~
How many other shops have you had? It seems like you've had a lot of experience. Putting together a whole shop front must be a lot of work, what with the descriptions of everything as well as the graphics.

Hmm yeah... I would think that some people from Hamusuta would have subscribed to this thread, seeing as how you were an artist over there as well
Well.. I think I've been pixeling since 2004 or 2005.

My first shop was called "Dizzy Kitties" (named after my cat Dizzy). They were really bad, first shop and all. Very little experience both in the B/C and in pixel art. Slowly the shop grew and developed though.
I did Dizzy Kitties 2.0, with new bases and certs that are actually very similar to the ones I'm using now (just more box-like and of course not as good). That shop evolved into Dizzy Land with the inclusion of rabbits and dragons. Shortly after the Dragons I ended up closing the shop though.
I eventually came back with "Itty Bitty Kitties" which were REALLY REALLY tiny pets with certs that functioned on a grid-basis much like Panda-Box. Those were fun, but hard to assemble as I had incorporated a layering system with photoshop, and the pets were just so small there was barely anything to work with. Also, somehow I got locked out of the mule for that shop, so it closed due to a lack of interest and the loss of the mule.
Around this time I became the certist for Hamusuta, eventually leading to my full ownership of the shop for several years. Eventually numblina co-owned it with me, and then I handed it over to her.
That's not the only shop I've received from disinterested owners, either. Outfoxed is currently still in my possession, though I actually dislike the bases for the pets, as I find them hard to color. So it's in a state of hiatus as of right now. I can always give the shop to someone else, but I just haven't found anyone.
I've also owned a few other odd-shops here and there. None were sucessful, really. Like Sukoshi-Niwa, an animation-focused shop of pets that were very much like Pikmin, now that I think of it.

But now here I am with Dizee (now you can see why I chose the name. : ) Also, DIZEE stands for: "(a) Delightful (and) Interactive Zoological ExperiencE," which is why I am so focused on the science hall as far as shop progression goes. biggrin And I must say, I've never put so much effort into writing page descriptions as I am doing for all the NPCs for this shop. I also intend to be very descriptive when it comes to writing the reports. I am glad I was able to successfully incorporate the "painted" style into the shop, because I will be able to draw pictures for the Science Hall reports as well~

So I've been around. xp
