Miranda (the moon) is the castle of Uranus so I would caution against it? Years ago i did my own sailor moon fanfic and my sailor uranus was NAMED miranda for no reason other than it stuck. So when i got the book where they are like, "my mother's castle, miranda!" I about died lol.

Refresh my memory: Senshi powers usually come from the mythology associated with the name of the planet/star, not the physical attributes of the planet/star itself?

In this instance we'd like to let you know that you can pick whatever. Seriously, so long as it's not too absurdly silly, you can pick whatever power you like. Sailor Nerissa is the senshi of whirlpools solely because I wanted a vague water connection for the moon of Neptune.
