[Herds of Azreth Mule]

On the floating field of Azreth, there once lived a King so great in his Majesty, that all of his people thought him as a God. But the King was lonely, and no man, woman, or child, could shake off the dreadful feeling he held in his heart.

So on a whim, the King decided that he would build a stable and house and breed the most glorious horses that there ever were - for that would surely help his heart.
So, over the course of several years, the King built the grandest stable that ever could be found on Earth - the stall's flooring was made of goose-down pillows, the stalls were as big as the King's own room, and, as the last timber was put in to place, the King ordered that all of his people - royal and peasant alike, was to find him the most glorious steeds that could be found.

Knights from near and far came with horses - winged, horned, cloven-hoofed, and yet the King passed them all by.

One day, a small peasant boy came leading his most prized stallion - pure white, with eyes the color or sapphires.

"This horse can read your thoughts, My King," the boy said, taking in the glorious stable around him.
"Why, nonsense, good boy. That's ridiculous." The King scoffed at the boy, his eyes on the horse.
Is it, My Leige? You've seen horses winged and horned, and yet here I stand before you.

The King stood, open-mouthed, and gave the boy a sixth of his Kingdom and made him a Lord, taking the horse and putting it in one of his stalls.

Finally, the King called back the Knights with the horned and winged steeds, and he chose only the finest mares to breed with his prized Stallion.
And so, the first of the Azrein foals were born.


Able to read the thoughts of their Chosen - for they did indeed Choose us, and not the other way around, and with senses so stronger than those of a normal equine's - well, never underestimate the greed of mankind.

The years passed, and the great King died.

Using them in wars, putting them in front of plows, and treating them like humble beasts of burden, the Azrein's stock was eventually bred into those of normal horses, and up until several moons ago, none were believed to exist.

It seems that the Azrein are willing to try to forge a greater relationship with mankind once more, and so they ventured down from the floating field of Azreth, where their King once treated them so great, to join and bond with men and women alike once more.

But it appears that they need us for something...

> >Adult: Finally! All of your hard work has paid off into raising, training, taming, and communicating with your Azrein! Fully grown, your prized steed is ready to fight, mate, and carry you on their back. You could never ask for a more loyal creature, and their looks are simply awe-inspiring.

> >Elder: The most wizened and revered Azrein, these are the ones that most Azrein and men alike go to for advice. They seem to have a sort of knowledge in Magick as well. Their names will be sung in all the Songs of Legend, and yours along with it. However, no one seems to know what they look like.... [[If an Elder is ordered, Custom Lineart will be drawn for your Azrein. It's coloring will change slightly and it's design will become more complex.]]

Only three of these Rare Species come to the Herds of Azreth a month.

These graceful, sentient Azrein are known for their grace and their glory. With seemingly unlimited patience, these horses take on every challenge with will and wit alike. Oddly enough, only males have been found thus far. Perhaps in the future, more of the Winged Ones will grace us with their presence?
[[Winged Azrein have a 2o% chance of passing their wings onto their offspring. One out of five foals will have wings.]]

Stallion: Mare:

> > The Mages are the backbone of the Azrein army - fueling offensive attacks with highly skilled magical attacks, and aiding those in pain by way of healing, they are one of the strongest limbs. Their manner is almost obsessive compulsive - they dedicate nearly every waking hour in the study of magic, in philosophy, and alchemy. Sometimes, they simply forget to eat, giving them almost a frail looking appearance. Most humans see them for their beauty alone.
However, don't be fooled, as they could most certainly blast you where you stand.

Stallion:

> > Assassins, hunters, and thieves, the Rogues are the most stealthy, and some would argue most dangerous, part of the army. Using their barely audible hoofsteps and keen intelligence, the Rogues are notorious for setting traps, spying behind enemy lines, and assassinating those of power on the other side.
Their personality types vary - from being shy until they have a Job, or to being arrogant, confident, and aloof.
They seem to have adapted, as all of the Rogues have a longer bone structure than the other Azrein, giving them the speed their Class requires.
