Part of the first chapter of Shatterglass is here for those who would like to brush up on Trisana's personality.
Relationship: It represents Trisana's powers. Glass and lava are related, considering volcanic glass. The storm inside the bottle is just like the storms Trisana has bound into her braids.
Inherited Attributes:
1) Trisana's Hair (Curly red hair done up into power containing braids.)
2) Wind Scrying (Audio and visual, though visual is far harder and distracting.)
3) Hair sparks and breezes stir when overly emotional.
Personality in 3-8 Words: Intelligent, stubborn, kind hearted, no-nonsense, storm enthusiaist
Prompt: C - (Messenger Reborn Stage) What glowy eyes your Herald has. Are there any powers she has with those? Can she see in the dark? Does she have secret eye-beam lasers? How does another child react when he/she first meets your Herald and she doesn't seem to be able to control those sparking eyes and wings...

Prompt Response:
Found and taken care of by a kind woman, Gale was doing okay, but no better. An abandoned child acused of being a demon or fallen angel, her room and books were her only friends.

There were a few who dealt with her, but all were scared, or stranger then herself, except the woman who cared for her. However, even the woman was getting nervous around her.

Walking to the park, intending to sit on top of the play structure, she hoped there wouldn't be anybody there. Most people stayed indoors in this weather. She preferred it that way.

Her footsteps added to the sounds of raindrops around her, washing over her like the raindrops themselves. It felt cleansing to her, like it was removing the dirt and grime of life. So clean and refreshed she felt afterwards that she was allowed to go out in all but the worst weather. Like almost a year prior when storms swept through. Gale didn't like those storms. They felt unnatural and wrong, rather than refreshing.

Reaching the park she looked around. Even in this kind of weather there were sometimes kids or homeless around. Fortunately nobody seemed to be around.

Gale enjoyed her time in the storm, lightning and wind dancing around her, in the highest place she was allowed to go. Eventually, the storm subsided and she decided she had better head back. On the way she heard someone in hiding. The person sounded scared and small.

Looking around, her now glowing eyes took in the street, cars, buildings and alleyways. In one of the alleys, balled up behind a dumpster was what looked to be a five year old girl. The hiding place was dry and sheltered, if not warm. Without hesitation Gale walked toward the girl, who went silent.

"Hello, I'm Gale. Are you lost?" The little girl's wide eyes took in the glowing eyes, glowing wings and soaking wet clothes. I've scared another. Images of past experiences came to mind. Trying to play games, make friends or just be a part of the group, but the strange glow always turned people off. They thought she ways using some power, rather than just being excited. "I'm on my way home myself." Gale paused. "Would you like some help getting home?" The little girl nods slowly. A little more walking won't hurt and I should be able to help. But I have to get her out first.

Lighting arced to a building on the next street over, it's acompaning thunder echoing through the alleys. The five year old yelped and curled up tigher, hiding herself even more. Gently Gale tries to "Is the storm keeping you from going home?" The little girl nods a little quicker this time without revealing her now hidden face. "I can keep the rain off you and the lightning won't come into the street." Gale suddenly extended her wings fully, moving the air to create a wind shield to keep off the rain. "See? You won't even get wet."

The five year old looked up and saw the rain shield in place. "Somebody is probably calling around to find you right now." The little girl nods again and mumbles, "mama". Gale held out her right hand, dripping wet like he rest of her. "C,mon. I'll take you to 'mama' and get you someplace safe and warm."

It took a little more to get the girl out of her hiding place, but not much. Cold, wet, hungry and scared, a promise to return her to mama was the one thing she wanted most.

Gale kept the rain shield in place, keeping the rain off the two of them, while the lightning looked like hands coming down to caress the buildings. Gale wondered at the beauty off the storm again. She never got tired of it, but she understood those like the five year old. To others lighting meant death and destruction.

Ten minuets after getting the little girl out from behind the dumpster the girl squealed in joy, and ran off to the door of a building. Gale saw the door open and a distraught mother embrace her newly found daughter. The sight warmed ales heart. They both looked so happy to find each other again. Mother and daughter, a bond she never new.

Eventually the daughter pulled away a little to point at Gale, telling her mother how she had guided and protected the girl. The mother was truly greatful.

As Gale and the two looked at each other, lightning stretched down toward the scene. Mother and daughter looked on in horror as the lightning alighted on Gale, dancing about her like an energetic puppy. No, not now! It was too late. Fear for Gale quickly turned to fear of her, all over their faces. Then the door slammed, both hiding in the safety of their home. The click of the lock was lost in the sound of the rain as Gale stood there, the lightning completing it's journey to the ground.

Rejected, Gale dropped the rain shield and started back towards her home. Her foster mother would be concerned if she stayed out much longer, or so she told herself. Really she just wanted to forget what had happened.

NOTE:
Based on the weather magic employed by Trisana, Gale would not be able to call up foul weather, but rather is able to harness the power of the weather already in existence. However she could create breezes and tiny lightning bolts without using her braids. The braids are like batteries, so she can harness natures power directly or store it for later. When such power is used, more than a small amount, she will suffer the costs, like Trisana does, by being bed ridden and weak for a while.

Why would you say that?

For one day, all Heralds would have a power, or powers ((up to two)) that they acquire from "somewhere else". They don't have any say, and some may lose control. A Herald might have strange eye-beams or see through walls. They might have more magic than before. Who knows, one might even see ghosts! It would be quite interesting, to say the least. Weaknesses can be powers too, and the Herald may find that they cannot go in direct sunlight or may be weakened by a specific material.

The effects vary and are different for every Herald.

They only last for one day, though. After that, things go back to normal.... but the Heralds do not know that.

Cillian woke up and smelled a mixture of salt water, seaweed, and sand. Wrinkling his nose, he sat up and looked around his room. A large trident almost as tall as he was stood up in the corner. Curious, Cillian stalked over to the trident and picked it up. The moment he picked it up he heard a voice whispering in his head, telling him of the powers of gods with emphasis on the power over water and how he who holds the trident is the most powerful of all and everything and everyone else was not worthy to be in his presence.

Stomping over to the door Cillian opened it and a blue streak surged over to him and onto his shoulder. Loki, an elemental dragon spirit of water, who normally had soft loving eyes suddenly had hard eyes of maliciousness. It looked as if he too was affected by the trident.

"Cillian, stop standing in the doorway. In or out!" Kilynn rushed past the tall man, almost pushing him over. "I am late for work. I don't get why my alarm didn't go off, but my client will kill me or dock my pay."

Smelling calmness as the shorter woman zoomed by, Cillian sneezed the calm out and stomped to the door that led outside.

"I might be back later, woman. Make sure there is a fresh bowl of fruit when I get back or there will be Hell to pay," he grunted as he slammed the door. Kilynn starred at his back before the door slammed and noticed that his normally red hair was blue.

Annoyed by his clothing, Cillian walked outside with his trident in hand, looking in windows for the perfect outfit to compliment the trident. Almost too mad to think at his failure to find an outfit, he finally saw it. The perfect outfit practically shone in the window of a costume shop, a light blue toga with golden sash. Using the trident to break the window, he shed his clothes and put the toga on, quite pleased with himself. The shop owner came out yelling, but Cillian ignored him while loki wrapped his tail around Cillian's ankle and bit the shop owner.
Mackerel was walking around the shops. Her hands were fisted in her pockets so that she wouldn't tear her clothes off accidentally. There was a commotion up ahead, at what seemed to be a costume store. The little Herald ran ahead, taking her hands out of her pockets. She avoided everything, the fire hydrants, newspaper machines, light posts, and all other things.

One light post was not so lucky. As Mackerel twirled around a couple of humans smooching on the street, she wound up slamming a fist into the black post. It crumpled in half... but the child was already far away when the crowd circled around it.

Finally, she was there. Mackerel caught up with the fleeing Fish-Herald and his prize. Stalking him, she was close behind when he finally stopped.

"I know you...." Mackerel laughed as she approached closer, a sardonic grin on her face. "But I never knew you to be a thief." She was going to add that it was usually herself that used the five-fingered discount.....but he didn't need to know that.
Cillian twirled around looking for someone his size, but had to look down in order to see the small girl looking up at him with laughing eyes.

"I am not a thief. That man should be proud that I found any interest in one of his outfits. Everything else around here was insignificant and too ridiculous looking for my tastes. Where could I find some fruit? I could really go for pomegranates and wine," Cillian informed the young girl.

Looking around, he found another shop across the street that had a sign with grapes and wine. Hoping it was where he could find what he craved, he jumped over the curve and landed in a puddle, splashing water everywhere.

After crossing the small street he looked over to the girl and called, "Are you coming?"

He wasn't totally sure at the distance, but it looked like the girl may have gotten wet.
Mackerel heard his reasoning and thought it was sound - she felt like that too. His ego, though, could have a bit over the top. So, she frowned when he asked for pomegranite and wine. Wine - what aweful stuff! What in the world could a being as noble as a Herald want with that...... junk?

But then he was off again, and just when Kerel took one step he was in a puddle and water was everywhere. EVERYWHERE! She hated water, it didn't agree with her wings. Mackerel was miserable now and scowling up a storm at the fish-Herald. She knew his name, but it was escaping her right now. Her wings itched from the droplets of water that had touched them. Sure, there wasn't much but it was enough to irritate her.

With a roll of her eyes, Mackerel followed at a distance. The sounding of a vehicle horn made her look up. There, coming right for her was a black sedan! How dare it challenge her!!! Who did it think it was - both the driver and the car itself? Enraged, so not even bothering to move out of the way, Mackerel wound up her little arm. Just as the car came barrelling forward, so did her small fist.

The two connected with sparks and the sound of crunching metal. The car went flying when Kerel punched it - and the Herald herself had not a scratch on her.

Snorting as if nothing were weird, Mackerel turned back to follow the finned Herald to his destination. That would teach the sedan from coming for her.
Cillian saw the black thing go towards the little girl. One of the only things he learned was to never harm a child, there would be times when they were older if they made you angry, and to know your surroundings. He saw the large black noise machine fly and a human struggling to get out. He stormed over to the machine and picked up the man by the scruff of his neck with one hand.

"What were you thinking!? Were you in charge of this black machine? Didn't you see her standing there? Serves you right," Cillian yelled as he threw the man into a puddle.

Cillian waved his trident at the man, for he had landed in another puddle. The puddle made a short water tornado around the man as he stood dazed and confused within the middle.

"I am still hungry. What is good to eat around here?" he looked at the small girl, turned, and strode back to the eating dinery.

A small angel tossed and turned in her bed. She was doing everything she could to get the covers off her and try and cool down. Nothing was working and for every moment that pasted, Yuki felt herself getting warmer and warmer.

"Sirene!" She called just as she sat up in bed and opened her eyes. Her body was covered in sweat and the silk night gown she was in stuck to her body. Staring down at her bed, she didn't look away from a certain place as the door to her room swung open.

"Yuki! What is it? Why is it like an oven in her?" The woman cried out taking one step in and then one step out. Her angel's room was the coolest in the house and why it was so warm today, she hadn't the slightest idea. The rest of the house seemed like the arctic circle in her mind.

Yuki turned her eyes towards Sirene. Just as she was about to speak, she let out a sudden cry before throwing her head back into her pillows.

"Yuki! Talk to me baby." Sirene said softly finally brave enough to walk into the oven room. Sitting on the bed, Sirene reached out to place a hand on the angel. "You are burning up!" She screamed pulling her hand away. It wasn't the normal affect of a fever. It was much hight and almost like she was on fire, literally.

"You were glowing..." Yuki called out as she looked back at Sirene. The affects were there but lighter.

"Yuki, I'm not glowing, sweety. Come on. Let's get you out of bed and dressed. You might need to go see a doctor or something." Sirene sighed as Yuki changed all worry into annoyance. She hated doctors and even mentioning them made her skin crawl.

Yet, within moments, Sirene had Yuki in the lights white dress she could find and out the door. Yuki was to head there on her own as she knew the way. However, Sirene would meet her there after she made sure the house cooled down. It was impressive that in every room Yuki entered today, they all heated up. Yet, what scared the guardian the most was when the stove turned on and Yuki entered the room, the fire had seemed to come to life.

"What a day..." Yuki sighed as she walked down the streets and into a crowd. Now she was trying not to touch them as well as keep her wings from slicing them. It was harder since she was alone.
