Personality Elle is vivacious and the life of the crowd. The limelight is her most comfortable surrounding, and she is always aiming to entertain. She is by nature a people pleaser, and loves to show off any talents she may have. Should a problem arise, she will use her charm to scam her way out of things, and is very charismatic. She has very little backbone, though, and is easily bossed around. Her etiquette is far below par, and she is often an embarassment to the ones around her, making a fool of herself just to entertain.
Wing Development The frame of the wings would be an ivory colored, curved bone that shines and has little cracks here and there. The rest of the wings would be made of silky cloth pieces of either royal blue or deep red. They would be adorned with jewlery of all sorts, thought the majority would be red and blue jewels. golden lacing would also drape around it.
Basic Info (hair, eyes, skin, etc) Elle has long, wavy golden hair that is almost always worn with multiple hair accessories and a small top hat ontop of it. Her eyes are a deep royal blue, and her eyelashes are unnaturally long, as a showgirl's would be. She seems to have a natural dark pink eyeshadow around her eyes, but that is almost always covered up with some other, more intense colored make-up. She also has extremely rosey cheeks and thinly plucked eyebrows. She has an ivory colored skin tone, and a slender figure.
Clothing (Basics) Enjoys extravagent outfits that would be seen in an old-time circus, with poofy cuffs, lots of lace, and just a great ammount of unrealated cloth thrown together. She loves to wear plenty of face make-up, as well as complicated hair updos.
Prompt 1::
Barbie waved a loving goodbye to Elle as she backed up from the driveway, and as the young Herald watched her pull away, the only thing on her mind was the neatly placed presents lying under their festive tree. As soon as Barbie was out of sight, Elle ran to the pile, as she had done every morning before Barbie had awoken. She never touched them, just looked, waiting and wondering what treasures hid inside. The fancy paper and bowed ribbons tightly wrapped around each of them only made the urge to rip them apart more intense, and the little girl could hardly contain herself any longer.
She closed her eyes and shook her head. "
No! I can't open them yet! I promised..." she yelled to herself, her better half taking over. She instead calmly repeated to aloud, "
Five days. Five days. Five days." She figured, with such a small amount of time left, there was no point in ruining the surprise, and most of all, Barbie's efforts.
That was when she noticed that one of the gift's wrapping was coming undone! She scrambled over to it and tried to push it back into place, but with nothing to hold it there, her efforts failed. She put it back down, but temptation got the best of her, and she inspected the area that was already showing. The box inside was pink. "
Pink?!" Elle thought aloud. "
Could it be--?!" It must! Had Barbie really gotten her the delux doll house that she'd been asking for all year?! In a fit of excitement, she tore the paper off and flung it aside.
To her dismay, it was nothing more than a floral decorated tea pot. Elle slumped down to the ground, her dreams having been crushed. She looked about her, and her face grew worried. Seeing the mess she'd made and the opened present lying on the middle of the floor, she debated what to do with it all. How would she explain this to Barbie?
She would not have long to think about it, though, because just a minute after all this, Barbie burst through the door, and exclaimed in a rushed voice, "
Ah, I forgot my wall--" Her sentence was halted with the sight of the frozen Herald sitting in the middle of a mess of wrapping paper and ribbons.
"
Uh oh..." murmured Elle as she saw the shocked look on her caretaker's face.
But to her astonishment, no harsh words were thrown at her, and no unpleasant gestures were directed to anyone. Instead, Barbie just laughed softly and said, "
Curiosity got the best of you, huh? I knew it..." She only shook her head and walked closer to her, laughing harder at the sight of the tea pot in Elle's lap.
The girl was completely puzzled at this. What on earth was so funny? Shouldn't she be mad right now?
Barbie bent down and scooped up the tea pot and said, "
I figured you'd open one if I left you alone with these long enough. I left this one a bit unwrapped, and you fell for the bait!" she giggled, clearly taking pride in her little mind game. So this was a trick?! Now instead of being worried, Elle was just angry that she had been fooled into a trap.
"
So... you didn't really get me a tea pot?" Elle questioned with a monotonous voice to show her lack of ammusement.
"
Haha, of course not! I'm not that cruel, am I? I just didn't want you opening any of your real presents." She embraced the girl and ruffled her hair. Deciding that the incident was too humiliating to punish her, she continued on to find her lost belongings that she had originally come back for, and then headed out the door in the same fashion as before.
Real presents, huh? Where to look first...
Short Answer
I’ve been fascinated with Breedables since I first learned of them, and after I found Heralds, my love for the shops just seemed to grow. It’s hard to find a good human based shop with an interesting back story to go along with it, and this is just that. I, like so many other devoted lurkers, have been silently watching for a while now for an event like this. To design some aspects of a Herald is such an exciting thing, and even if I don’t get picked, it was just fun to think up the idea of my hopeful Herald.
