Good!
Just reading the story / guild / newbie guide.
I do have a question (if you know the answer):
Without a hound, do we create a normal human, and then they become a summoner once we have a hound?
Or can they be a summoner before we get a hound?
I imagine it's like Wardwood, in the sense that they're normal before becoming chosen, but wanted to be sure.
How are you?
Reeshie was correct in her answer on this c:
There are non-summoner humans, and summoners.
Some non-summoners do have the latent ability to use magic and could, potentially, become summoners later on (this just means that even if you do not yet have a hound to bind them to, they can still be roleplayed but are able to bind to a hound later on). However, they cannot be written up or played as if they already have a hound when they do not.
Other non-summoners have NO magic ability and are just regular humans, and thus would never be able to summon a hound. It can be fun to play these types, as well, so both are available to create as characters. For example, one of my characters, Brienne, is a summoner who has a non-summoner brother who I will eventually write up.
I've considered having another official name for humans that fall under either 'magic oriented' or 'non magic oriented' to make these explanations a bit clearer, but for now that's the gist of it. c:
