Guardian Naae
Yes, I know that rules are annoying but guess what...you're going to have to get over it. These rules have been placed here to make sure things run smoothly. So I suggest you read them and follow them or face the wrath of the staff.
Below you will find rules for not only the main thread, but for breedings, customs, and role playing. Although they have been placed here for clarification, each colorists has their own set of rules for customs and breedings in their den. So be sure to read those over as well! (I also give credit to Pride Lands shop for letting me copy/paste/alter said rules for our use)
M a i n .. T h r e a d .. R u l e s
- Read the whole first/second page! Although it's perfectly acceptable to ask questions, a question you have may already be answered somewhere in the first/second page.
Do not beg for a pet! Actions such as this will only lower your chances of ever being able to obtain a pet here.
NO stealing of any of the artwork (this includes banners, graphics, etc.) what-so-ever! Our lineartists worked extremely hard to make all of these lines for the shop's use only!
You may NOT sell your pets/offspring! You may either give them away to others or keep them.
Check the drama at the door, no one wants that kind of stuff here
If you can't say anything nice, don't say it at all.
If there is someone bothering you for whatever reason, there are two ways to resolve the issue without causing havoc in the thread. Private message the person, or ignore them. These are two, very simple solutions that take little time. There is no need to lash out at someone in front of other people because that just creates drama.
If there happens to be some argumentation within the thread, do not jump in! This just makes things worse, even if you're trying to help. Best thing to do is carry on conversations and role playing.
Be respectful towards each other. New or old, it doesn't make you any better than someone else, nor does it exempt you from any of these rules.
Don't assume, it just makes an a** out of u and me
Do not harass the colorists or managers for any reason! If you have a question for one of them, message them politely.
The staff's word is law and must be followed.
Real-life commissions have not been put into effect. However, we do have future plans for it in the works.
When an event pops up, read the rules, they should answer most of your questions.
Gods & Goddesses are available only through a special event.

R o l e .. P l a y i n g .. R u l e s
- Role playing is encouraged, but not required. However, for faster growths and a higher chance at participating in certain events, role playing will ensure that to you.
Use whatever tense you feel comfortable with when role playing.
It is recommended that you use a color for the pets you are role playing with. This prevents confusion if role playing with more than one pet at a time.
If you're doing an open RP within the main thread, please, let others join in! Let's not leave anyone out.
Role playing in another language is allowed as long as the other person(s) are able to speak the language also. (or provide a translation for what that pet is saying so that we can all understand.)
Pets that you make for the coloring thread (when created) or for commissions/fan-art may NOT be role played! This is a bannable offense!
Non-cosplay pets cannot be role played like a cosplay. This is unfair to those wishing to obtain cosplays/those who have paid a good amount for a cosplay.
No god-modding or role playing of another person's pet unless they say otherwise!
Do not ask someone if you can co-own their pet. They will come to you if co-owning is something they're considering.
Role playing pets from different shops is off-limits! People come here to role play GoS pets and to possibly get away from other shops. The last thing they want to see are pets being role played from the shops they're trying to avoid.
Be sure to discuss personalities, rights, and rules of your pets to other people you role play with. If your pet is mated to another pet and you've compromised on them staying together permanently, keep it that way!
Respect your role playing partners and their feelings.

C u s t o m .. R u l e s
- GOS no longer accepts bribes! Please do not ask us about custom bribes, it will be an automatic "no."
Every colorist has their own set of rules within their journals, so be sure to read their rules as well as these.
Listen to what the colorist has to say. It may be a question or concern that's needed to be heard.
Pestering a colorist about a pending custom is not recommended. While some colorists are more tolerant than others, it is still very stressful when people are constantly harassing them. On top of Gaia tasks, they have real-life situations that always come before the internet. So please, be patient.
Do not bug colorists about opening slots. They will open them on their own time, not yours.
Unless stated otherwise by colorist, haggling about price is unacceptable. Some colorists charge for their edits while some do not. Whatever the case may be, you must respect their decisions.
If there is something you're not happy with about the final result of your custom, question the colorist in a polite manner!
Most slots are first-come, first-serve. This usually works like a flatsale, where a "GO!" post will be made and requests follow.
You must send your custom trade after you have been confirmed your slot. Keep in mind that not all of the colorists will accept them right away, however.

Babies (wisps, bags, or whatever the begining stage of any pet added to this shop is) from a breeding my be kept or given away, but not sold!
Adults are the only ones allowed to breed
There is no limit as to how many times your kirin can breed, but breeding to hoard is not allowed!
Same sex breeding is allowed. A third party is NOT needed for kirins, as it's a melting of energies together. (However, logistics for coons and other species that might appear here have to be worked out yet)

Q. What is a Kirin?
A. One of the most magnificent and admired of creatures in the legends of the East is the Kirin. Not to be confused with the Japanese word for giraffe, kirin are different entirely. While they have at times been compared to the Western unicorn, they are not entirely the same. It is said that kirin are indeed horse like, and some may have the tail of an ox, but unlike unicorns they also have scales. Depending on the story they may have some scales or be covered in them entirely.
Q. Can they talk like us or do they have their own language?
A. Kirin can speak the languages of humans easily, and some have been said to possess telepathy as well. They can sense when someone is telling them the truth as they know it or when someone is willingly trying to mislead them. Kirin, in many stories, are not inclined to help those who willingly mislead them or the people whom they regard as trustworthy or virtuous
Q. What are Kirin's like exactly?
A: n all legends kirin are extremely gentle and appreciative of all life, careful never to tread upon living things wherever they go. Kirin never take an innocent life, although they may become truly fearsome in order to defend lives. If a wicked creature threatens those considered good by a kirin, that kirin will become a fierce creature indeed to defend them, howling and breathing fire, as well as other mighty abilities that vary from story to story.
Q. Do they breed like normal horses?
A. It is said that in the spring, kirin will call out to their potential mate and await an answer. If that answer comes, they will send energy to mix with their mate's to produce an offspring of that energy. Presumably any manner of pairing thusly may produce offspring, a truly magnificent aspect of their beauty.
Q. Sweet! I want one, gimme!
A. Whoa there, pump the breaks. We don't give out these beauties for free now unless we deem the recipient worthy of it. So get that thought out of your head.
Q. Ok well how can I get one?
A. Simple, through flatsales, auctions, raffles, etc. Or if you miss a chance to get one through those, you can obtain one through customs.
Q. How much do they cost?
A. The price for a Kirin is 6K.
Q. Whoa, when did <insert name> get one?
A. They are colorists and I like to reward my workers by allowing them to make Kirins for themselves.
Q. Ok, then why did <insert name> get one? They're not part of the staff.
A. Either they got it through a pet trade, custom or as a gift. Stop your whining.
Q. I no longer want my Kirin, can I sell it?
A. No you absolutely can not. You don't sell your children do you?
Q: Then how come you sell them?
A: Technically we aren't selling the Kirin. We like any orphanage are charging an adoption fee.
Q. <insert name> keeps harassing me. What can I do?
A. Either talk to the owner of the shop which is Mira, the disciplinarian which is Jezabelle (Ira) or the threads mediator Ms Muffet.

You all are presented with numerous ways to get a pet fromt this shop, however the means of which you do this is completely up to you.
Flatsales- The price for these pets is and always will be six thousand gold (6k). However, you are unable to choose the gender of your pet or the coloring. It's a come as is. Flatsale dates will always be announced by a staff member and can always be found within the updates section. Just make sure that you follow the rules and complete the form that will be placed within the flatsales section correctly in order to obtain your pet.
Raffles- The price for these will for the most part be one hundred gold (100g) per ticket unless a staff member says other wise. However, Raffles are a game of chance so just because you purchace a ticket it does not mean that you will be rewarded with a pet. Be sure to follow the rules set for this section and fill out the form or post the phrase given to you correctly in order to get your ticket. The pets are come as is unless stated otherwise.
Auctions- The prices on these babies will vary because all of them in some way or another stand out more than those that you gain from flatsales or customs and the colorist gets to decide what they will charge for their hard work. So don't complain. These too are come as is.
Customs- The prices vary according to what you are looking to get. Here you pretty much have free reign on the outcome of your pet. You can choose the gender, hairstyle or color, eye color etc. However, you can't just up and get them whenever. A colorists slots must be open. So keep your eyes peeled.

1.) I am going to ask people rolling, that if there are more people rolling in here at the same time, please converse/RP...in general talk to each other! I'm understanding more and more why shops require this in their rules and I'm thinking of adding it into mine as well, when this game is over officially. Just keep in mind that though it's not required at this particular moment in time, once the game is over, it will be. 3nodding And yes I know I post emoticons too, but that's mostly cause I don't have the time to sit and talk to people, I'm having to catch up on everything on the fly and I gotta mark my spot somehow if I got nothing to reply to D8
2.) I visited a college yesterday, and the heart of this particular announcement is that I will be starting college June 28th. I went to one yesterday to check it out, they admitted me on the spot, got everything going and even let me start in a month, which 99% of colleges I know will NOT do. So, what this means is that I'm going into the RN nursing associate degree program, so once I start, I may not be around so much for a time, but we'll see. This particular year I'm just doing the prerequisites to get into the program, then I'll have 2 more years before I'll graduate...I may be able to finish it faster all depending on how many classes I take and if I go every term, but here's to hoping xd
I'm not entirely sure how it'll affect me with the shop, but I won't be abandoning it by any means...probably just end up keep doing what I'm doing now heart

March 9 @ 3:52pm- Ira is currently at her loves house for her birthday and is yet again having issues with her laptop, so for right now the auction pets will be placed up. So please be patient with me. I will be on off an on so yeah. The event wont end till the end of next week so that I'll have plenty of time to push out more pets for everyone to have a chance at winning one.
March 1 @ 10:41pm- Mira here, wanting to apologize for my slowness in getting things done, but I am doing my best with what time I got (and sanity). I also got a surprise for you as well...
I'll try and keep you guys updated as much as possible, but please keep in mind I'm doing all this on top of 4 jobs, college junk, family crisis and being sick. Fun, fun, fun, yes? Anyways, keep your eyes peeled, I'll have some candy to appease you soon. <3

November 4 @ 9:58am- As many of you know, a Halloween event was in the works. However, the Halloween event had to be canceled because of various rl issues. Yet, we the staff want to make it up to our wonderful family and so we will be working on pets for a christmas event. If you have any ideas of what you'd like to see in the event, please PM your ideas to the mule and the staff will deliberate and discuss what can be done for you. Again we are sorry for the cancellation of the halloween event and pray that the christmas event will be to your liking. The starting date of the event will be posted within the announcements at a later time.
August 23 @ 4:00 pm- Naturals event starts!
September 25 @ 2:56pm- The shops guild has been made private for the fact that someone came and spammed one of the sub-forums. The transgression has been corrected but to prevent future problems the guild will remain as private. Only ones allowed to post are members of the guild. All owners of the kirin and those who have shown interest or are trying to get kirin have been invited.
August 21 @ 11:10pm-I am sad to announce that we the staff have chosen not to hire anyone right now, but please don't hesitate to send in your applications though. Perhaps if we had more we'd be able to make a choice that we wont regret. Furthermore, I have great news. This Sunday at four o'clock pm eastern, we are having our Grand Opening event. The theme is naturals, so come prepared for some fun!

Guardian Naae
Sakida had been wandering many moonless nights, carrying her child, and heavy with grief in her heart. Tired and footsore, she'd fianlly laid to rest on a bed of leaves, unable to go any farther, laying the child beside her. The gentle wind in the trees above, and the natural night sounds had long since lulled her child to sleep, and for that she was thankful. It wouldn't be much longer that she could go on, and she knew her end was coming nigh. Laying on her side, her right arm under her head, Sakida played with little Naae'a hair, feeling the silky smoothness pass through her fingers.
"Naae...", her mother whispered, "you are destined for many great things, your path is much longer than mine. I bless you that you will find many great and wonderful things as you live and grow...I only wish I could have found a Guardian to care for you before I leave this world..."
"Be still, dear mother, for a Guardian has come. Be of good cheer...she will live and grow to an old age," came a quiet voice that was both young and old at the same time. The mother had but only the strength to lift her head to look around at who it was that spoke, wishing to thank them, but stopped when she spied something that was both horse and dragon at the same time. It bowed it's head to her in reverence before stepping forward once more, acknowledging that it had indeed spoken. "I am what is known to many as a Kirin. Our duty is the be guardians to those who seek serenity and are good of heart. We are summoned in times of need, and nothing is stronger than the call of a mother for her child."
Sakida knew the creature spoke the truth, and offered yo it a smile of gratefulness before kissing Naae and laying her head back onto her arm where she fell asleep. J'dox, as this Kirin was called, blew softly into the mother's ear, filling her with peace and the knowledge that she'd done all she could do. Sakida sighed softly, and with that single breath, Naae was an orphan. "Come, young one," J'dox whispered, gathering the folds of her blanket in her mouth and carrying her far away where none could harm her.
Many years passed, and Naae once more walks the lands, a beautiful young woman. She knows little of what happened to her parents, but not because she's not curious, but becase she's been satisfied with the life she's been gifted to lead, and feels the knowledge is not neccessary to make her happy. She had learned as she grew that belief in those that had become her guardians had dwindled to the point that few believed they existed, and because of such the Kirins had stopped interceding in human's lives as they had once done to protect those who could not protect themselves. Naae has made it her purpose in life to rekindle the old beliefs in hopes that the two could once more live in peace and harmony side-by-side.
So come, child...learn of the stories Naae tells and perhaps you shall find your own Guardian of Serenity.
-Oh dear, our map is missing!-
Guardian Naae
Wisp- The youngest stage of the Kirin. These wisps cannot speak or move entirely but they do have the ability to make soft, almost inaudible noises and make small movement, like little wiggles.
Filly and Foal- This is the second stage of your Kirin. While their steps are rather clumsy, that doesn't stop them from being the adventerous little tikes that they are. Not only that but they've learned to use their ability of telepathy as well as normal speech though it's still is a bit broken. The mystic abilities of their kind have begun to show, yet they are still much to young to weild it with confidence. However, through time the young ones get better with that.
Mare and Stallion- Finally adulthood. Much stronger than they used to be, your Kirin now have the option of truely exploring and starting their own herd. Not only that but their telepathy and speech have improved drastically and their mystic abilities are now within their controle.
Elders- If you have managed to reach this form with your pet then you are very lucky for this is their final stage of life and the hardest to obtain. Your pet has finally become and anthro and with this form has come much wisdom, strength and dicipline.

Shufti are a gentle playful race of rabbit taurs indigenous to Quila'ta Island, having believed this was the extent of their world. However, having discovered by a adventurous human/kirin pair intent on seeing just what this world held in the secret little niches, the little community has been discovered. Happy though they'd been in their ignorance, the rabbit people were ecstatic to discover they were not alone. Curious as all rabbit-kind are, they have begun to spread now on the mainland and have been since dubbed by the Gods and Goddesses that rule as the Guardians of Peace and are the second main race to be discovered.
Egg
All Shufti are born from eggs, unlike their mammalian counterparts that we know. These are bestowed with a likeness of a rabbit running, sometimes echoing what lies inside, sometimes not. The parents guard these closely within their dens, as Shufti eggs are highly prized by predators. As hatching time nears, the egg begins to wiggle, and an occasional squeak may be heard.
Child
The egg has finally hatched into a child who finds that, at first, coordinating three sets of limbs takes a alot of practice. They are helpless for the first few months, totally dependent upon their parents for food and safety much like a human baby. Kept within the den, the child knows little of the world outside until it is able to walk and at this time (that it ventures without) will also have a fairly good grasp of the language. Childhood as a Shufti does not last long, usually about six months before they are full-grown though it tends to take an additional year before they can bear children (the year is considered by Shufti much like the teen stage is by humans - the last stage as puberty finishes it work within and without.)
Adult
Finally the Shufti is mature and able to bear children of it's own. Puberty has finally finished it's work, and within some are given special gifts that now manifest themselves: Seer and Telepathy. While every Shufti have the chance to become such, only about 10% ever attain it randomly through chance.. Children born to Seers/Telepathics have a higher chance of it happening: (percentages yet to be determined)
Elementals?
There has been discovered upon the island, traces of elementally-aligned Shufti, but other than these fossilized eggs, no other trace has been found of them, except in local tales told to children. Perhaps more evidence of their existance will be found soon, however it is believed that, as labeled, that the other four species were/are aligned with water, wind, fire and earth...
Guardian Naae
Tasmahou are a race that can be found anywhere, and bond quickly with the Kirins, Shuftis, and whatever race might be discovered next. They're FAMILIARS, and tend to act as in the role of a conscience, much like Jiminy was to Pinochio. Curious playful creatures, they're very mischevious.
