.Rules.

- Don't steal the art. This includes tracing, copying, or idea-theft, relabeling as your own, etc. Tracing or copying is allowed only if you are using it as a reference for a custom or commission. If you draw fanart, you don't have to ask before posting on DevArt or somewhere, but don't trace or be a ninny!
(One strike on this before you're blacklisted. Don't do it!)

- DO NOT ASK WHEN THE NEXT FLATSALE/AUCTION/EVENT/CUSTOMS WILL BE . IF THERE IS SOMETHING OPEN *IT WILL BE POSTED IN THE THREAD, AND YOU WILL KNOW*.

- Follow the Gaia ToS.

- Do not beg for Grifflets or ask others to buy them for you unless they offer. Its rude.
(You get two strikes on this rule before you're blacklisted.)

- No refunds.

- DO NOT PM the artist or the shop mule asking when your Grifflet will grow, its been an UNUSUALLY long time, like 2+ months.

- Be Literate in your Roleplaying. If you can't form a complete, proper sentence, come back when you can.

- Please keep whining to a minimum. (Or geez, not at all.)

- If you are involved in an RP and you find yourself ignoring others in the thread or it begins to consume it, please take it to the guild.

- If you make a custom order, its your responsibility to get the details on everything to the artist. If you order a package that includes multiple things and do not give info on the other things, you will not receive them until you do.

Q. Do you accept Items as payment?
A. Yes, only sealed letters, donation items, or evolving items over 30k.

Q. When do I pay you for flatsales or auctions?
A. As promptly as possible, but we can make exceptions for SOME things.

Q. Can I pay you half no, half later?
A. Nope.

Q. Can we Co-own?
A. Nope.

Q. How come some people have Grifflets that don't look like the bases you have?
A. Some bases are still being refined/worked on, and will be released once they are completed.

Q. Will you take my Grifflet away if I am inactive?
A. No, but it will not grow.

Q. How long will it take my Grifflet to get to its second stage?
A. Between one - two weeks.

Q. Do I need to Roleplay for it to grow?
A. Nope.

Q. How will I get my Grifflet to an Elder?
A. Getting to Elder is rare but can be obtained with detailed/involved RP, bribe or in some rare cases, customs.

[Grifflets]

This isnt so much of a story, as it is information about Grifflets.

Grifflets are small, pet-sized gryphons, that are kept much like the owls in the HP series. The fledglings can easily fit into the palm of your hand, while the adult Grifflets can grow to be from 6 - 11 inches and weigh from 2 - 9 ounces. About the size of a small owl.

At fledgling stage, the Grifflets have not yet formed their front legs and they look like tiny owls. At adult stage, the legs look more like small claws and are capable of being used as such. Grifflets gain their full Gryphon form at the Elder stage. It is very rare for a Grifflet to become an elder, but once they do, they are often knowledgeable and experienced enough to look over their own 'domain'. Elders no longer have owners, but travel the world freely.

Grifflets are also known to make friends with other animals for companionship, and even for riding! The most popular friends they make are Bufflies and Azlets. Bufflies are small butterfly-like creatures. They are very chatty and are good company. Azlets are much like your small corn snake. They are often used for grifflets who like to gather things, or who wish more of a guardian than a companion. Last but not least, are Loafins. Loafins are rather fluffy, pudgy, house cats that have formed a bond with the Grifflet, and actually will carry them around form place to place, just like a mount!

Almost all Grifflets are domesticated and live as someones pet. They dont often leave the house, and if they do, they almost never leave the comfort of their owners yards. It is not uncommon for every member in the house to have a Grifflet. There are other Grifflets that are either purchased from a special vendor, or that can be found in the wild. These Grifflets are known as Darklets, Lumenis or some even have elemental properties. These Grifflets have been known to even interact with domestic Grifflets and either breed with or simply befriend them.

.Sale Rules.

- Don't harass others for Grifflets if they win one and you do not.
- Pay promptly. If you are having issues, please notify staff. Send your payment to the artist.
- If you cannot listen to the rules set by the event or flatsale host, you will be banned from that event and the following one.
-If you participate in an RP - related event, and fail to make your prompt without an excuse, you will be disqualified for 3 events following that. It is rude to do this and ruin the chance for somebody who might have participated. If something comes up, tell me.
-Do not edit things onto your certed Grifflets. (like extra jewelry, etc)
-Do not sell or trade your Grifflet to others.

.Sales FAQ.

Q. Do you accept items as payment?
A. Not for flatsales. Otherwise, yes, but only monthly collectibles, sealed envelopes or evolving items valued over 30k. Some of the more expensive event items are fine during auctions.

Q. How come some flatsales already have their gender chosen and some don't?
A. We do this if we feel that the genders are unbalanced as we don't want the shop to lean one way or the other. :3

Q. Can I bribe you to give me a Grifflet?
A. Sometimes, but Kita is picky.

.Flatsales for Beginners.

- Have a payment of 5,000 gold ready.

- FlatSales will be done Flaffle style. When one of the staff post 'go' you have 12hrs to
to claim that you want to be entered to win.

- With your post claim what Grifflets you want in order from first to last (if there is more than one). This way there is no waiting when names are drawn.

- If you win, send your trade to the artist asap and post in their certing thread in the guild.

- You may not get more than one Grifflet at once in flatsale.

.Rules.

- Only Grifflets at the Adult (3rd) stage can breed.

- Slot determination is up to the artist. Please read their thread before applying for a spot so you know their rules for their slot openings.

- RP between the intended couple is encouraged but not required.

- A breeding fee of 12k applies to the couple and must be sent to the artist before the breeding can begin.

- Grifflets have a standard clutch of 2 - 4 eggs. This number can increase with significant roleplay.

- You may give your eggs away, however, at no time is it okay to make a profit from the offspring. If you do, and are caught, you will be banned and your Grifflets taken away.

- Male/Female mates only.

- Grifflets must be at the Adult (3rd) stage for at least one month before being able to apply for a breeding.

- Grifflets dont like incest :c


.Q&A.

Q. How much rp do I need to have a homosexual breeding? And how does that work, anyway?
A. For male/male couples, the couple would need a surrogate female to have the baby for them. That female would get pregnant by one of the males and the offspring would look like her and that male; for female/female breedings, they'd need a sperm donor for one of the females The setting for Grifflets breeding is more true to life so ff and mm can't have kids without a surrogate female or male. Also, the Grifflet couple have to stay homosexual. They can't decide they like females/males and ditch their life partner. I know there are bisexuals but the homosexuals would have to lifemate since it's a big deal having children and bringing a surrogate female into the family.

Additionally, in order for the homosexual couple to breed, both owners must post permission in addition to the surrogate's owner. These are actual relationships, and both owners have to be alright with one of them having a child with another Grifflet.

Q. But that's not a true homosexual breeding!
A. Tough. This isn't a technical or truly magical setting; there's no way for homosexual couples to have children possessing the genes of both 'parents'. Homosexual relations are not a standard element of Grifflet breedings, and should NOT be entered into for the sake of children.

Q. What is the max a Grifflet couple can have if there is RP.
A. Up to 6, but there has to be a LOT of RP.
