1. Do not Harrass ANYONE. Staff, regulars, noobies. If some one is rulebreaking please politely tell them. If they don't stop, report them to Staff, or Gaia.
2. No begging. Please, it's just rude.
3. The prices are set for a reason. Only bribes are negotiable.
4. We do accept items as payment, but only rares, donations, event items worth over 1k, and store items with SELLBACK of over 1k, unless specifically requested.
5. No l33t, chat, or nOOb speech. Occasional Lol's, wtfs, that kinda thing... Fine. But talking ALL like that? Unless it's a one off joke, NO. NOT OK. Its just annoying. The English language doesn't need to be beaten to death, KthanxBai.
6. We understand that not everyone has good grammar groundings, can spell well, or speak English. If possible, try to run a spell and grammar check if you know you have such issues, it makes reading posts easier.
7. I shouldn't HAVE to say this, but because it happens, I will. NO ART THEFT. ART THEFT IS A ONE WAY TRIP TO THE BLACK LIST WITH A BONUS PRIZE OF A REPORTING TO GAIA STAFF.
8. No whining, snarking, bitching, or moaning if you DIDN'T get an FS/Auction/Raffle/Contest pet. Sorry. It's just how it goes.
9. No, role play is NOT required to grow or own a normal pet. Breedings, RARES, UNIQUES... All require RP and the pet WILL be removed if it's not. Minimun of 8 RP posts a month, at least 2 a week, for specials. Breeding requires a full, well thought out RP. No having a pet meet the other pet, and falling instantly in love, and ZOMG babies. It takes time. Once the breeding babies are born, RP is no longer required, but it IS encouraged.
10. I reserve the right to add rules to this, at anytime.
11. I reserve the right to, if you get blacklisted, RESELL or give away the pets you own, as I hate to see them wasted on some one who would break rules so.
12. In NO WAY may YOU sell the pets you gain from this shop. If you don't want yours anymore, return it to the shop. No refunds, we'll rehome it.
13. THOU SHALT RESPECT ALL STAFF. Also anyone on the Credits List, and the LOVED list.
14. NO. DOMOS. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. Aria HATES Domos. They seriously... CREEP... her out.
15. Certain special pets may come available. Perhaps gods. Certain ones will be limited as to how many a single owner may HAVE. If I label a pet as limited, I will say how many of that type an owner can have, and track it. For instance, if I release gods, odds are I will limit them to one a person.
F.A.Q.
1. Q: How do tribes work?
A: I've come to the (sad) realization that I haven't made it clear how tribes work. I need to fix this. So. How they work, in one maybe not so simple lesson!
First off, there's the tribes. What this means is each tribe has certain powers is controls, and it's tribe is named after that. The powers seem to dictate placement of markings on the body, so that each tribe has a distinct set of places for it's markings. To give an example, Air Tribe's markings appear on their backs and upper back hips/legs. They control basic air powers. For instance, they can summon small breezes, and the like, to cool off an area. But they don't have the ability to call wind storms, that's out of their control. Those powers require far more specialization.
Specializations have led to more tribes then the basic 4 elements. For instance, the ability to call a Wind Storm would belong under BOTH Wind tribe AND Storm tribe, as it's a bit of each. The Wind tribe member would have a lot more control of wind aspects, however, and the Storm member would have more control over the destructive, stormy aspects. Working together, they could, in fact, make a DEADLY storm.
Tribal hatreds and alliances are there. The inter-tribe dislikes are the most simple of understandings of the intertribal politics. However, there is a lot of complications. There are trading alliances, and some of the 'offshoot' or specialization tribes keep stronger ties to their 'parent' tribes then others. Sometimes a specialization tribe will make closer alliances to another 'basic' tribe, or to another specialization tribe. The most basic alliances and dislikes would follow the traditional elemental paths. An illustration of this is below:

Following the black circle, the tribes are most connected to the two next to it on the circle. The dislikes are worst when you go across the circle, along the red lines. So Fire and Water are most volatile with each other, logically.
Alliances are where tribes like Volcano seem to come from. Such alliances mean young of both tribes meet, and occasionally, grow close. These rare occasions usually lead to a mixed child, but sometimes that mixed child has a specialization of their parents, combined. Volcano seems to have formed from parents of Mountain and Lava tribes getting close.
I hope this helps. If more info is needed, tell me!
2. So how do tribes work Internally?
Having explained how tribes work, in relation to each other, it occurs to me we need some explanation of the internal workings of a tribe. SO! Here we go.
First off, Tribes are semi-matriarchal. Generally there is a clan head, who is normally female, such as The Shaman. It can be male, but generally only if the last Clan chief passed with no female heirs. Then there is the council. It tends to be 75% female. Why? As far as I've been able to gather from interoga... erm asking *Coughs* my kits, the males find politics and law, etc, boring. Not always, of course, but in general.... well yeah.
So the council advises the Tribal chief, but in the end, she or he makes the final decisions. Each chief is a member of the Chief's Council, which meets every so often to deal with Tribe disputes, and more.
Within family units, the mother is usually considered the final word, as she carried the children, she gave birth, and so on. In a same gender pair, the status goes to the Kit that bore the babies. Mothering is considered an almost holy thing.
In fact, the highest God that the Kits worship is the Mutter Nachtt, or the Night Mother. (Don't ask why, but when they translated her name from their tongue to a human one, they decided to use German first. They wouldn't explain why.) She and her sister, the Earth Mother, are considered the two most important characters in Ginger Kit Mythology. They have special Shaman Priestesses who are devoted to them. There are, of course, other gods, but none of such importance to the Tribes.
Another issue is tribal numbers. Different tribes, obviously, have different numbers of kits. The more specialized tend to have less members. When a tribe has less then 5 members left, they send their chief to the Council, to request children from other tribes. Their closest allies usually will send children. On occasion, even Opposing tribes have been known to 'donate'. Again, more info needed? Ask!
