ED [ee - dee] Is a petshop which has recently hit it's 100th page on Zantarni. Being the only pet shop of it's kind on Zani, and there being a complete lack of activity, I have decided that maybe it was time to open a Gaian branch. I will be looking for some helping hands here, such as artists, and possibly some staff members. Take a look through the shop and stick around if you like!

Essence Deities
Essence Deities is a God based 'pet' shop. Every ED will be based upon minor and major Greek Gods. This leaves a wide range as there are gods and goddesses of... well practically everything!! As time goes by and I feel the greek gods have run dry, I will introduce the second generation and base them upon other gods, and a variety of other things. This will all remain a secret until needed, as I don't want people rushing me to be done with the greeks just because they want one from the second generation.

There are two distinct halves to an ED. First is their soul, or God Essence. This is the essence of life left over from long long ago, which will be used to create your ED. Secondly, is human emotion. Without an emotion to attach itself to, your ED will never learn to become real.



God Essences
God essences are free energy, released from the gods over time. The energy has formed enough to take on a sort of mind of it's own, and searches out for a way to be given a body. God Essences have different ratings on our scale. The less known about the god or diety that the essence comes from, the lower the rating, and the more known about the god or diety is, the higher our rating. The rating doesn't mean your getting a better or worse ED. It simply states the rarity of the essence. The Essence will house itself in a particular item, sometimes related quite closely to the god, and sometimes completely irrelevant, or even juxtaposing.


Emotions
Emotions are chosen by the guardians. Each guardian will choose a specific emotion of their own to bond their ED to. This means that if you have chosen your emotion to be sadness, you and your ED will be able to feel the presence of this emotion in each other. Emotions show the most when the ED's are young. As children and babies, they are basically 90% emotion. At this point they are fragile and bonded strongest to their guardian and the chosen emotion. As they age, they will become more in tune with other emotions, and the emotion they have been bonded too, will not be as strong all of the time. This is also because they are becoming more and more bonded to their essence.

Inter-RP Zantarni/Gaia
RP between the Zani based and Gaian based ED's is absolutely allowed. In fact, it is very much so encouraged! If you bought your ED here on Gaia, feel free to come stop by the Zani shop once and a while, and vice versa. If you find your monthly RP quota is an 'anywhere' quota, setting your RP in the other shop counts towards your quota, so don't be afraid to come visit both shops!

Apperances
People often ask me if the ED are required to look human. NO. They do not have to look human! The first two ED's were both customs, and those are the appearances the owners decided on. You can give your ED, purple skin, or tribal markings. You can give them wings, and horns. You can go wild, if your ED is a custom. A lot of the time, pre-mades will not have the strict apperance of being humans, because face it, looking human all the time can get a little dull, and on the wide world of the internet, we can do what we want :P

Having Children
For those of you who are interested, YES, your Deities CAN have a child! This however, can only be achieved through RP and with the consent of the shop owner (Dihydrogen.) Di will open a special thread in the guild where potential parents can post their RP's together. By posting in said thread, it means you are ready for the two ED to have a child, and when Di thinks the two parents are ready... Well you'll just have to wait and see :3

Having a child is something that may only occur ONCE in the lifetime of each ED.

Stages
Stage o1 - Lone Essence
The essence, at this point, is searching for someone to bond to in order to reform itself. The essences will usually just appear as an item.

Stage o2 - Reborn
Your ED has bonded to an emotion is had pulled from you, and has formed into a child! But how did this all happen? Are you ready for the responsibility? Can you handle your ED's terribly strong emotion?

Stage o3 - Little Deity
Your ED has reached adolescence and is growing quickly! You've taught them well! They are making friends, and starting to suffer the effects of puberty. The emotion it has bonded to isn't showing as strongly at this point, but can still be seen quite commonly. They are starting to find that they have slight powers over their ancestors god-line. What kind of powers did your ED inherit?

Stage o4 - Lesser Gods
The rebelious teenagers have mastered their emotion, and have taken on their own personality. They no longer rely on you all of the time, but did you make a strong bond with your ED when they were young? Some may drift away, but are they drifting from you, or your emotions??

Stage o5 - Gods
Oh my! Your ED has fully matured, and they have detached themselves from your emotion they clung on to for life. They are now full fleged Gods, no longer unstable in the use of their powers.

Roleplay
Essence Deities was once upon a time an RP intensive petshop. Meaning that in order for your ED to grow, you had to RP and respond to prompts. This however, is a thing of the past!

From here on forward, RP will be an enjoyable experience that is highly encouraged but not enforced. Deities will now no longer be required to RP in order for growth to happen. This being said, I will add in that deities more commonly roleplayed will grow faster than those that are not. Also, Deities cannot bear children unless RP'd.

The option to have prompts in your journal will still be open, however. If you feel it helps you get to know your ED, or boots your RP skills, you are more than welcome to request prompts to be posted in your journal.

Flatsale
Flatsales have the set price of 25k. You can pay in pure and items, but item offers must be OK'd before offered (I suggest getting OK'd before the flatsale starts). If you cannot afford 25k, you may be put on a payment plan. 50% (12.5K) is to be given up front. The last 50% is expected no later than 2 months after the first payment.
