She stared in confusing before a laugh, a true laugh spilled gently from her lips. Still laughing she rested her head lightly against his shoulder feeling the comfort of the insubstantial presense. It reminded her of whipping through skies as nothing but a racing course of her own.

"You are a fool too kind to know his own worth. A gem in far more sense than one, oh jewel of a friend."

All of his colour faded to black, a solemn match to her greying. "Wings so molted, you will not fly easy. Would not, could not, would not, could not, would not join the dance."

"You are and shall invariably be so to me."

A small look of regret crossed her face as she pulled one of her wings around to inspect it. "I am affraid you are right. In my fright and shame they have faded and fallen. Thankfully they shall return soon enough." It was true, a small hint of blue and indigo danced mutedly among the grey, some of the sheen returned. "Though I promise, I will gladly save a dance for you."

"You can really have no notion how delightful it will be." his features were lost in the lack of light of the space. "The more dire the pain or illness, the more severe the necessary changes. Your go about your healing with such quiet steps. Will we know one another when we change? Will we remember?"

He gave a sigh, the air of it cold and untouched as the deepest reaches until that moment. "Will I see you when they are repainted?"

"You will always know me, laughing bright fool. The changes are short in coming, but it will simply be a new facet in the stone, one that shall make us stronger."

She burried her face against his neck without thought when he sighed. "You shall always see me and know me. You are too great a friend for me not to seek. Did I ever thank you?"

He brought a darkened, immaterial hand up to her shoulder and 'pet' it.

"Smiles are thanks unworded. Yes."

[Draconayzia]

She smiled, staying still and actually relaxing slightly. "I will say it anyway. Thank you, for being a friend and not trying to be more. You are a rare and precious gift that is worth more than any gold or tribute that could possibly be offered in a simple temple. For that I can not thank you enough."

[Edelsteine]

"No place safer for a woman then in arms such as mine?" there was the white slash of teeth in a smile.

[Draconayzia]

She chuckled a bit, breathing lightly against his neck in the process. "I do believe you're right. Besides, anyone messes with you they could find themselves in a black hole or some such thing. You'd definately be the one I'd wager on." Her hands slowly and gently snaked around his waist in a light hug.

[Edelsteine]

"Such ideas from the lips of a lady. I'll have to remember that one," He was motionless except for the faint sense of winds trailing beneath the surface of teh darkness. Motion within motionlessness. Too some, empitness was nirvana. For some, that was what was needed for a little while.

She smiled softly, relaxed at last. The swirling beneath the surface a lullaby to her. Standing silently a soft smile graced her features as she allowed herself to be held and feel safe. Who could ask for better company for Wind than the Universe?

yeah....the systems weird again. The egosearches don't update and if you search for all your posts or for someone elses it doesn't work.
