Question:
Donors let their bodies be used by "seniors who want to be young again." But she ends up in a body that is going out with what I'm assuming is a young guy. So the body she ends up in is a young body? From what I read in the description, bodies are only rented out to old people. So why was her body rented to a young person?

There isn't a none of the above option and this just flat out disturbs me. No one should want this for any price. Thank you, and have a nice day.

I know! This is so full of "DO NOT WANT!" it's not even funny.

Also, this book sounds like it could contain a lot of wish fulfillment + one flimsy villian. :I I would probably be dissapointed with it. Damn, I thought dystopians were immune to wish fulfillment stories...

And my goodness, not every dystopian would please a Hunger Games fan like myself. classified_fu It has to be good, and contain one awesome chick or dude that won't stand down to anything. The heroine here sounds kinda wimpy.

If you can say otherwise, please tell me more about this book. :3

I agree, you kno she does sound wimpy. I couldn't have put that better myself. I guess that is something I crave a better heroine.

Everyone dies between 20 and 60? Sounds awfully familiar... I know a book that's basically the same emotion_donotwant

Unique idea about renting bodies, but pretty disturbing.

This book is obviously not intended for those between the age of 20 and 60.

According to the introduction, I'd already be wiped out ... sad

Where do you think we are, YouTube?

chill, it was a joke

No it's not. What I said was a joke. Albeit a sarcastic one. What you did was announce your own arrival as Glorious First Poster. All hail, he who posted first, for he shall be remembered for all time, or until everybody else forgets about the thread!

This thread is about a book, so let's talk about it.

Something [Gaia] Dash said reminded me of a sci-fi story I heard about... wish I'd read it, or could even remember the name... something about "In a world, where immortality exists... but only for those who can afford it."

Except I guess that one was about actual immortality, not body-jumping. Which does happen in other stories.

I dunno, might be interesting. Though I never cared to look into The Hunger Games. I liked Battle Royale just fine, and The Most Dangerous Game was one of my favorite stories I read in school, but... meh.

I'll have to read at least part of it to judge her, or read a sporking if one exists.

Considering it flat out said she lives in a world where someone would kill them for a cookie without blinking, I think survival is one of those things you start thinking outside the box for. It sounds like people loan out their body part time, they have no knowledge of what happens while it's in use, and maybe there's some comfort in not knowing what the other person is doing with it? (except for this situation, where there's a failure with the use)

I don't know, I think I'd have to get the book now. yum_puddi It's so easy to say "I wouldn't do x", until something happens and there aren't many, or any other options, at least short term.
