That's the one. It was alright, but Howl was barely mentioned in it at all, and Sophie... well, that'd be a spoiler, but the way she was in the book wasn't very satisfying to me, I guess. The new characters she introduced were okay, but nothing very special.
Funny I loved Howl's Moving Castle... ^_^ But I agree the sequel should have been more about Howl and Sophie... Have you read the other sequel yet?
I liked it, it just wasn't my favorite of hers.
No, I haven't. Er, what's it called?
It's called House of Many Ways. It has a lot more to do with Howl and them. So if you've read the Chrestomanci series, what do you like about it? I read Charmed Life, but it didn't interest me very much.
I'll check it out, then. Thanks!
To tell the truth, I almost stopped reading the Chrestomanci series after Charmed Life. I didn't like it at all the first time through. But I had the double book of Charmed Life and The Lives of Christopher Chant, so I read it, and it became my favorite book at the time. I liked Christopher a lot better than Eric. He seemed less angsty, and more like a confused little thing you wanted to cuddle. And the plot was better, in my opinion. I'd definitely recommend you pick up the rest of the series, because it gets better.
smile I also have that double book, and I read some of The Lives of Christopher Chant but I got distracted on something else, and I hated Charmed Life, so I figured, what's the point? But I'll try it. I do need to find 70 books for this year.
Yeah, I'm glad that I continued reading. Charmed Life just sucked. I hated all the characters. In The Lives of, the characters are developed more and are more interesting. Oh, and I liked Eric (Is that even his name?) better in The Pinhoe Egg, where he's older and less mopey.
Can't hurt to pick it up again. Well, not that much. If you had a papercut it might hurt. Be careful.
Good luck, by the way. ;D
