Tetra decided it would be best not to eat the cat, but instead, maybe just keep it company. Heck, maybe she could even get it to follow her or something. She decided to just take one last look into
the pub, and then maybe join the cat in his little shelter. After all, looking at all the glorious food was just taunting her. It does no good to linger too much on what you cannot change, she reminded herself.
As she stared into the warm light of the pub one last moment, she heard a small, sharp gasp from behind her, and quickly spun around, eyes narrowed and ready to attack, but almost fell over from her own sudden sharp movement.
Peering into the darkness, her hawk's vision kicking in, she now clearly spotted a smaller girl crouching in the darkness next to the little cat. "What the stuff?" she muttered. That girl had NOT been there a minute ago. "Why didn't I see her coming?" she thought to herself.
She felt another stab of pain as her stomach begged for food, but she held her ground, looking suspiciously at the smaller figure in the alley, as she folded her wings tightly behind her to conceal what she was. She did NOT want anyone knowing about what she was, especially not some random stranger in an alleyway.
She heard ANOTHER voice behind her, and yelped in surprise, warily, untrustingly, backing away from the unexpected new arrival to the alleyway. "What is with all the people around here tonight?" she thought, a bit angrily. " She pushed the lady's hand away from her arm, old instincts kicking in and making her brain race with worry.-
