Now, as he guards Xafe from danger, he hopes that maybe his merman will fin him, and sweep him off his fins.

Bio: Chin-hae was born into a family of mer-people. A mer-mom and a mer-dad. His whole family aside from pets were mermaids and men. He also had the ability to control currents of water. He usually just used it for show, to make things pretty. He was the only one in his generation to have powers- so he was the odd one out- and usually, people hated him.

Personality: He is a pleasant fellow who is always looking for a way to help though most people don't allow him to help because they see him as "disabled". But that hasn't stopped Reherus from trying. He also seems to always bare a smile on his face and covers his emotions under his jokes and grins.
Bio: Raised in the palace to be one of Atlantis's mighty guards, he was following in the foot steps of his father and his father's father and his father's father's father. However his career was ended after he saved a group a young mer-people from a shark attack about a year ago and it had severely wounded him. He still bares an ugly scar on his back and has a bit of hitch in his swim that makes him swim more to the left when he his trying to go straight. Now he is just looking for a way to be useful again.

Bio: Silas was born with another form, the water dragon which is the greatest weapon for Atlantis.If his emotions ever get out of control the dragon he attempts to keep a hold on will loosen and he could lash out and wound anyone near him. He rarely swims out alone, and prefers to stick close to the royal guards and such, people who could get him under control.

Rolling a perfect water-ball in a set of slender, clean hands a male well known as 'Chin-hae' swam around on the surface of the ocean, the ball of water jumping in the air, not touching anything in it's path. He moved his hands in such way the ball went in the same direction as he did. He sung quietly, a melody that suited his homeland very well. He belonged to Atlantis, it was a calm place- aside from when the boys went amuck. He sung quietly, his siren voice balancing out around him, making the birds swoop around, along with dolphins prancing from the water and up to hear him sing. He finished his small song with a quiet sigh. He really hated being young. He wanted to mature and get things over with. He was known for being one of few teens with magical abilities, along with the fact he was one of the best singers- but he knew better ones. There were so many other things that everyone else did better, which made him feel good- they had their spotlight- he had his. Except for the fact he sometimes really didn't admire his own spotlight.
As he ducked back under the ocean, Chin-hae sighed, leaning against a rock that was sticking from far down. "I have always wondered, where do these rocks go, I've attempted going down there- but the guards never let me pass. Hn..." He sighed, swimming back to where he was allowed- he was currently in an out of bounds area.
Chin-hae began thinking- about people that he knew in the ocean. There was Xafe Niski- the boy he secretly had a crush on, but never got to talk to because of his fear of the guard, Sebaki. He was a nice man, of an age of thirty one- but Chin-hae always felt so akward around the male.
He lay back on the seaweed, letting out a gentle sing-song sigh, shutting his eyes as he thought peacefully to himself. He was actually, deep down, plotting a way to talk to Xafe without Sebaki around. He knew it was highly un-likely, unless Xafe requested it himself.
As the minutes past, Chin-hae finally gave up his plotting, and rest on his bed, looking at the rocks above him. He wondered if it was possible for them to stay up there for so long. Clearly it was- but what if they one day fell on him and killed him? Nah, he changed his mind- he stoppe thinking of that, he didn't want to... But he couldn't help but move out of his house in worry.
He swam past some sharks on his small swim, and felt rather unsure of things. He let his tale drift in the water, blinking as the sharks surrounded him with their jaws wide, revealing hundreds of teeth. He instantly pushed pressure into the water, forcing the sharks back as they charged. A few more water tricks and they left him, but he heard clapping, applaus. He spun around, throwing a death glare at the giver. His eyes shot wide when he realized it was his father- he was just being tested.
After arguing with his father for a bit, Chin-hae relaxed at the usual spot- a place where all the teens and kids gathered around to swim and play. The other merpeople were all happily playing, leaving Chin-hae a bit left out...

"Xafe! Don't swim so fast! I'm an old man you know!" Sebaki yelled, swimming endlessly after his friend's son. Xafe laughed, blinking blankly, and swam farther, getting closer to wear his senses told him was the teen's hangout. "Xafe! Hault!" Sebaki yelled again, surprised as the teen listened to him; Sebaki realized it a little too slowly however, and crashed into the merboy, sending them faliling about like a couple of frantic fishes.
Xafe giggled as he swirled around after the carsh. He enjoyed the blackness in his eyes to an extent, and now was one of those times. He stopped himself from swirling as his palms pressed against a rock. "Are you alright Sebaki?" Xafe giggled again as his guard groaned and tried to sort himself out (even if Xafe couldn't see it). "You really are getting old!" He teased.

Chin-hae heard a familar few voices, Xafe and Sebaki. He watched in shock as the two mermen went flying into a rock. He winced and floated up, but moved down when he remembered that Sebaki was there- not just Xafe. He quietly sighed and watched, hoping the blind boy laughed. I sadly wonder... What it is like for him, blind and all... He thought to himself, letting his fishbowl shaded eyes carefully watch as his aqua hair brushed over his face from the waters direction.
He continued watching, smiling now. He wanted to smile for Xafe's sake. There was a small part of him not wanting Xafe to come over for a good reason- Chin-hae always muddled up his words when he said certain things like, 'see you later!' because, Xafe wouldn't see him later... It was a common thing for some people to do to people with disablities like that.

A Sebaki figured himself out, he finally calmed down; Xafe was still giggling, a hand ver his mouth as his eyes were tightly closed in mirth. Sebaki smirked and quikly noticed Chin-hae not far off. "Good afternoon Chin-hae-" Sebaki started calmly. He was going to just calmly greet him,but of course Xafe jumped in.
"Chin-hae! Hi!" Xafe exclaimed, turning around, trying to pinpoint where the teen was. "Come here!" Xafe suggested, smiling as his eyes darted around wildly. Sebaki sighed, but with a smile.

He found a spot in the field and lay down.He laughed a little,
as the sea weed tickled against his chest and tail.After awhile
he stopped and closed his eyes.

“Reherus, you really shouldn’t bother yourself.”
Those were words that he heard often. You should trouble yourself. You shouldn’t bother. You help is unneeded. He grew to hate such words as they were words that he hadn’t heard before last year. Before the attack by the pack of sharks people were always asking him to help them with things from lifting and carrying things. Now people didn’t want his help. They wanted to help him. But he didn’t need there help. He wanted to help them. He wanted to be useful again and seen with the same admiration that had been given to him when he worked as a Guard.
However even though he hated such words, Reherus never showed how it hurt and angered him. No. He had control over his emotions and he would remain the smiling guard that he had been, even if he no longer held the authority. So he finished in moving some broken coral for an elder mermaid with white hair. “It really is no problem,” he told her as he pushed the coral away. “Now you have a clear path.”
“Thank you. I just didn’t want you to aggravate your wound.”
“Nonsense my lady. It is healed. I will see you later,” the merman said before he started swimming always, his tail giving a little bit of a hitch as he did. A left over from his injury that interfered with his swimming. It was one of the reasons that he was dismissed from service to Atlantis. The other had been the ugly scar that ran down his back caused by when one of the sharks had attacked him. The scar covered most of his lower back. The muscle was damage which gave him that hitch in his swim and his inability to turn from his waist completely and he would get phantom pains when he over worked it.
Sighing the merman decided to go for a swim, to clear his head.

Chin-hae heard his name, and his crushes voice- after Sebaki's. He smiled very lightly, trying to contain how nervous he really was. He swam up from his position, and slowly movedtowards the exclaiming boy. He gently took Xafe's hand, spinning him around so he was facing the right way. He felt a little concerned touching the boy to lead him- he didn't know what Xafe did to keep track of where he went. "Xafe." He bowed his head, remembering he couldn't see, he looked back up, blushing. Sometimes, it's GOOD he can't see.

Xafe smiled brightly, and tackled Chin-hae in a childish hug. Though he was older, he was much more of a kid. Sebaki watched, his thoughts telling him to intervene, but seeing Xafe as happy as he was, he refrained. But not before annoucning loudly. "Chin-hae. Go play with Xafe.. I need a break." He noted truthfully. The boy should be able oto take care of the blind one. With confidence, Sebaki swam off.
Xafe smiled again and clapped his hadns together after letting go of Chin-hae. "Yay!" He exclaimed. "What are we gonna do?" He asked excitedly. One of his hands drifted dorn to linger just a hair above Chin-hae's.

Silas the Water Dragon
Silas blinked slowly as he circled lazily in the water. He was out near the open water, following some guards out as they searched for any rogue sharks coming towards Atlantis. The small tattoos that swirled around on his skin itched as he could smell some sort of danger coming. His mouth opened in a silent hiss and his eyes grew slitted. But then almost as soon as that bloodthirsty mood came it was gone. The water dragon shook its head and he blinked owlishly. He gave a signal to the guard indicating he was still in control. They continued to swim around looking for any potential trouble. "There's nothing here for now. Let's go back." A guard intoned. Silas followed them silently spotting a figure merely swimming around. With a jolt, the dragon recognized the merman from a while back dismissed from duty due to a wound. Lowering his head, the dragon kept up with the rest of the guards adamant on getting back to his cage. He could already feel the dragon just itching to come out. He was going to lose control soon.

He could remember his days in service very fondly. There had been nothing better for him to be doing them guarding the city of Atlantis from danger with his sword. Speaking of his sword, the blade was still in his possession. Of course it hadn’t been out of its sheath for some time, aside from some practicing here and there. But even then it wasn’t really used for its intended purpose. But that didn’t stop Reherus from carrying it. The blade was currently located in its sheath on his back, the belt strapped around his torso. He would be ready should the time ever come for him to take up his blade again.
As he was swimming about, he saw someone who he hadn’t seen since that day the pack of sharks came into the area. Silas. Atlantis’s secret weapon and also its most dangerous. A water dragon, tamed to serve Atlantis. But that was really a joke wasn’t it? Tame a water dragon. No. The dragon wasn’t really tamed, merely controlled for the time being. And with the way the treat the boy the control over him would not last forever. Sooner or later the dragon will be free then Atlantis will pay.
He watched the Guards and their weapon offering a soft smile as he caught the dragon looking at him as well. He nodded to him as he watched them pass though as he watched them he worried. Had the time of their control over the dragon be over sooner rather than later?

Chin-hae blinked at Sebaki, "U- Um!" He bit on his lip as the elder swimmed off. How the hell was he, a younger boy, meant to take care of a blind kid? Ah... He quietly sighed, looking at Xafe. "We could go exploring and see so-" He paused, "S- Sorry... I forgot you can't see." He hung his head. This is going perfect.. He thought sarcastically to himself, a sigh drifting from his lips.
